“It seemed like my life was doomed from the beginning, starting with being born on the floor in the emergency waiting room because the staff did not want to put my mother in the maternity ward due to lack of prenatal care. Then being molested at eight years old opened me up for a life of sin that would follow.
“For years, I blamed my parent’s marital dysfunction for how my life turned out,” Allen continued. “But it was neither my mother, nor father’s fault that my life turned out how it did. It was me who made the decisions I made. I finally realized that my life had to go through its challenges so the works of God would be glorified after all was said and done.”
