For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18 CSB)
ON FIRE FOR GOD
Even after a hurtful, life-altering marital dissolution, Trinette L. Collier didn’t merely place by the wayside the very thing to which God commanded her to cling: her fervent fire for Him.
“God gave me the vision and permission to release it in 2013,” Collier, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that led to her having made her authorship debut. “I divorced in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2010 that I was able to gather my thoughts and start the writing journey.”
The journey to which this Atlanta-based author is alluding is the one that led to ceremonious debut of Woman On Fire, her November 2013 released written work that, much to her delight, has been as good as advertised.
Comprised of 256 pages in length, Collier’s Woman On Fire depicts the life of a devout woman of faith whom admittedly was a “very secretive person” growing up, as mentioned in a detailed synopsis of this book at Amazon.com.

“I had been taught not to tell my business to anyone,” Collier writes. “Whatever I went through, I had to deal with it and I did…internally. My childhood was normal. I didn’t have abusive parents, no drugs or excessive alcohol, no mishaps, just the regular life of being the first born sibling.
“My mom taught me how to cook, sew, clean, be creative, and take care of people,” Collier continued. “She taught me not to depend on a man for anything. My dad taught me how to change my oil, work on cars, drive a stick shift, shoot a gun, start a business. He too taught me not to depend on a man for anything. That was my life from birth until the fire.”
And then there’s Sticky Notes Volume 1: They Said What?!?! Classic Classroom Comedy, Collier’s sophomore project that made its official release in February 2016.
“The vision was given in the early 2000’s, but I didn’t start writing Sticky Notes until 2013 after Woman On Fire,” Collier, a native of Los Angeles, recalls. “I wanted to share with the world what a day in the life of a teacher was about with the conversations with kids. I totally enjoy this project and have plans to continue it.”
A book that is accompanied by 128 pages, Collier’s Sticky Notes Volume 1: They Said What?!?! Classic Classroom Comedy recalls the life of an educator that’s filled with numerous day to day routines, as mentioned in a thorough introduction of this author’s book at Amazon.com.
“There is the responsibility of taking attendance, collecting field trip monies, turning in lesson plans, and thinking about yet another upcoming faculty meeting,” Collier writes in her second written work. “Amidst all of these sometimes mundane tasks, there is a ray of sunshine that manages to creep its way into the day.”
Interestingly, Collier announced that Volume 2 of Sticky Notes was published in 2020, although a timetable for its release has yet to be determined.
As for her first book, Collier needed approximately two years to compose Woman On Fire, a project that has drawn a slew of rave reviews.
“The feedback from Woman On Fire has been phenonminal,” Collier said. “I knew that the book would not be for everyone, so I didn’t expect reviews simply because I didn’t really want to push the book out there. However, the feedback that I did receive from numerous women were absolutely astonishing and surprising.
“Many women from ages 21 to 65 reached out to me about how they experienced the same issues and how my book helped them to start the healing process and more. This is when I knew I was on the right road.”
Most importantly, Collier acknowledged, Woman On Fire has emerged as her featured project, considering it has “opened the doors” to the startup of Trinette L. Collier, LLC, as well as led to her having become a Certified Relationship Coach.
“It has afforded me to create the seasonal Woman On Fire Podcast and tv show,” Collier said. “I never expected for me to go in this direction, but when God says to move, you do just that. My book actually helped me to heal. Even though I lived it, it wasn’t until after I wrote and read it that I began my healing process.”
With three books under her belt, other ones undoubtedly are forthcoming, Collier said.
“God has given me so many other books to write,” she said. “I’m just waiting on His time to release them.”
