She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard; She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. (Proverbs 31:16-17 NIV)
DESTINY STEPS
For the record, no one has to remind Shania Elliott-McDowell that she’s walking in the divine purpose for which God created her.
She unquestionably realizes it herself.
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Elliott-McDowell knows full well she’s functioning fervently in her purpose, look no further than the immeasurable strides she’s made, most notably as a brilliantly gifted author.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Elliott-McDowell is the process of becoming a published author for the third time when fellow Charlotte, North Carolina-based businesswoman Joan T. Randall’s anthology, The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly, is released in March 2021.
“The vision came through my mentor and I knew that I had to be part of it,” Elliott-McDowell said, explaining what fueled her desire to join Randall’s highly-anticipated anthology.

A beloved military veteran who served two years in the United States Army and eight years in The U.S. National Guard, Elliott-McDowell doesn’t shy away from the notion that she felt greatly inspired to share of a story that has altered the overall landscape of her life.
A former Johnson & Wales University student who holds an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, Elliott-McDowell began her chapter of the anthology sometime in May and needed approximately four months to put the finishing touches on it.
As far as Elliott-McDowell is concerned, it certainly was time well spent, especially considering the world is facing arguably its biggest crisis in recent memory amid the global pandemic.
Most importantly, she sensed her intriguing, life-altering story would greatly helped shape the lives of someone who have endured similar struggles and experiences she has faced.
Elliott-McDowell’s chapter in The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly acknowledges how oftentimes, secrets are downright hurtful, yet those who have been greatly affected must exercise faith to press and navigate their way through them.
In other words, how we handle and react to hurtful experiences will, in turn, determine how “stronger” we will emerge in the aftermath of such encounters, Elliott-McDowell emphasizes in The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly.
“I knew that my story had to be told, because it might help someone,” Elliott-McDowell says without hesitation.
To her credit, 2020 has been a rather resourceful year for Elliott-McDowell, particularly as it relates to her gift as a rising author.
Elliott-McDowell is one of eight writers who collectively assembled Evolve From Heartbreaks To Hearts Healed, a 152-page anthology that is spearheaded by Patrice Webb Bush.

Also, Elliott-McDowell has announced the forthcoming release of her solo-authored book, The Conviction An Unlikely Affair, although an official date has yet to be determined.
As for her valiant contributions to The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly, the feedback she’s garnered has been overwhelmingly favorable for the most part.
“So far, (I’ve gotten) positive messages,” Elliott-McDowell said. “And (some people have said) that it has helped them move from a place that was hurting them with their family,”
Randall’s official release for The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly is scheduled to take place on March 6, the longtime author told Making Headline News.
