North Carolina businessman Aaron Jones benefiting mightily courtesy of his immeasurable writing talents

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

MAN WITH THE PLAN — A native of the Bronx, New York, Aaron Jones, 34, is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based businessman as the owner and chief executive officer of called Divine Lit, an up-and-coming venture that is widely known for publishing high quality fiction and non-fiction literature.

Just recently, Aaron Jones hosted what was known as the Divine Lit Holiday contest, during which winning contestants would become the beneficiaries of an autographed copies of his August 2018 released book entitled, “Illusions Of Happiness.”

Must have been some of contest, given the overwhelming response from a gallery of participants.

“I want to send a sincere thank you to Shawn Ravenell Pendergrass,” Jones wrote in a January 4 Facebook post. “She was one of two winners who participated in the Divine Lit Holiday contest and won an autographed copy of Illusions Of Happiness.”

Much like a rather delightful Pendergrass, who was seen in a photo holding Jones’ book, that essentially has been the general consensus amongst this author’s supporters who deemed it essential to purchase his latest written work.

“So far, my business hasn’t taken me anywhere in the country…yet,” Jones told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “However, I plan on doing book tours in the near future and look forward to meeting new people who discover my work for the first time.” — Aaron Jones

Not only will those with whom Jones cross paths be afforded the golden opportunity to build a solid working rapport with a young businessman who’s striving diligently to enhance his brand, but like Jones, they will have the luxury of having their published work be thrust on what is shaping up to be a national platform.

“What I like most about being in my business is that I maintain 100 percent creative control over my work,” Jones said. “Working with words to bring a story to life is an underrated art form. To see a project go from inception, to notes, to sentences and paragraphs, and form a 200-hundred-page manuscript complete with a vivid cover that catches the eye are very rewarding to me.”

A MUST READ — A book that is comprised of 364-pages in length, Jones’ Illusions Of Happiness depicts the life of a man name Anquan whom, according to this writer, “isn’t happy.”

By and large, seeing the stunned and amazed looks on the faces of his clients are priceless, Jones acknowledged.

“However, the most fulfilling part is when people hold that book in their hand and consume the hard work that went into it and actually enjoy it,” Jones said. “That’s the part that keeps me going.”

And if things continue to hold up and take shape for this thriving, progressive businessman, then chances are, the mission that headlines his venture is destined to come full circle.

Much sooner than later.

“My personal mission with my business and my writing is to create manuscripts that people will not only enjoy for their entertainment, but tell captivating stories that will inspire, transpire, and impact people’s lives in a positive way,” said Jones, whose business accommodates persons of young and middle age adults.

LEADING THE CHARGE — Not only will those with whom Jones cross paths be afforded the golden opportunity to build a solid working rapport with a young businessman who’s striving diligently to enhance his brand, but like Jones, they will have the luxury of having their published work published thrust on what is shaping up to be a national platform.

As for Jones’ Illusions Of Happiness,” his featured project has amassed a slew of rave reviews since its much-anticipated debut last spring.

A book that is comprised of 364-pages in length, Jones’ Illusions Of Happiness depicts the life of a man name Anquan whom, according to this writer, “isn’t happy.”

While in his twenties, in fact, Anquan elects to separate from his wife, Janessa, a development that transpired after two years of marriage.

“His reason for doing so is simple. He isn’t happy,” said a spokesperson for Jones’ book in a detail introduction at Amazon.com. “Can you blame him? It wasn’t what he envisioned for his life.”

Consequently, the plot eventually thickens in a book that has been dubbed a constant page-turner by a large contingent of Jones’ reading audience.

That’s because Anquan begins to test the dating market in search for what he believes is an ideal mate, or a younger more attractive woman, Jones reveals. “Children are grounds for automatic disqualification,” the Amazon spokesperson is quick to point out. “Armed with his two chauvinistic and womanizer friends, he begins his quest, but quickly discovers that finding his dream wife isn’t easy and that he doesn’t fit the criteria of the females he’s attracted to. Feeling dejected and confused, he begins to question if leaving Janessa was the right decision and contemplates on if he should go back to her before it’s too late.”

HOLDING IT DOWN — If things continue to hold up and take shape for this thriving, progressive businessman, then chances are, the mission that headlines his venture is destined to come full circle. Much sooner than later.

All things considered, Jones — who relocated from New York to the Carolinas as a teenager — is just delightful of the fact that his entrepreneurship dreams have become realities.

“I really can’t name any one person that inspired me to do this,” Jones said. “The only thing that’s certain is that I’ve always had a gift with words. Growing up, English was my favorite subject and I would always get excellent grades on book reports and essays. I guess I was tired to wasting my talent and finally decided to use it for the betterment of myself and for society as a whole.”

He’s doing just that.

And that, of course, isn’t an illusion.

North Carolina author Marcell Gill’s “Get Rid Of Yourself” book drawing constant rave reviews

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

Sometime in the Summer of 2017, God strategically placed Marcell Gill on an assignment, one that was centered largely on helping people to alter their way of thinking.

For Gill, it was an monumental assignment he graciously embraced.

VISION UNFOLDING

USED BY GOD — A book in which North Carolina author Marcell Gill needed a little more than a year to compose, “Get Rid of Yourself” headlines, among other things, this author’s featured purpose that’s geared toward helping people change their philosophy, he emphasized.
“I believe my purpose is to help people change their philosophy,” Gill, a Fayetteville, North Carolina-area author, told Making Headline News this week. “(I want to help) change the way they process problems and to react to them in a positive manner. I firmly believe that this book can make decision making a lot easier in the future.”

The book to which Gill is alluding is his newly-assembled written document entitled, “Get Rid of Yourself.”

A book in which Gill needed a little more than a year to compose, “Get Rid of Yourself” headlines, among other things, this author’s featured purpose that’s geared toward helping people change their philosophy, he emphasized.

A MUST READ

GOD DID IT — Much to his delight, Gill said his authorship debut undoubtedly is a “major milestone” in his life and that God is the Beneficiary of all the credit.

“The message I want people to download in their spirit is that you have been given power and authority over your mind and body,” Gill said. You, the spirit, are responsible for everything that happens in your life.”

Interestingly, Gill, by all accounts, stressed that we are not as powerless as we are taught to believe, something that, in many aspects, has crippled countless people, particularly those in the household of faith.

“Abba is our Guide, but He cannot make us get up and do anything,” Gill said. “The work that needs to be done is done through our hands. Not simply by praying and believing, but through work as well.”

MUCH INSIGHT — Interestingly, Gill, by all accounts, stressed that we are not as powerless as we are taught to believe, something that, in many aspects, has crippled countless people, particularly those in the household of faith.

A book that is just weeks removed from its official release,  Gill’s “Get Rid of Yourself” has already generated favorable feedback which, to his credit, figures to be a sign of things to come.

“The overall response has been stellar,” said Gill, a U. S. Army veteran. “The beta readers shared a genuine appreciation for my transparency and the willingness to discuss taboo subjects.”

Much to his delight, Gill said his authorship debut undoubtedly is a “major milestone” in his life and that God is the Beneficiary of all the credit.

CHECK THIS OUT — A book that is just weeks removed from its official release, Gill’s “Get Rid of Yourself” has already generated favorable feedback which, to his credit, figures to be a sign of things to come.

“The Father has allowed me the opportunity to share this with the world and has equipped me to do so,” said Gill, adding that a few local speaking engagements are presently in the works and the he’s open to accepting more as they arise. “It’s all about changing lives and this is just the beginning.”

As expected, Gill has announced that other books are forthcoming — much sooner than later.

HE AIN’T DONE — As expected, Gill has announced that other books are forthcoming — much sooner than later.

“I think it’s only fair to write another book based on adding to yourself since the first book speaks on ridding ourselves of the wrong mindset,” Gill said. “This project may become a series in the near future.”

Of course, Gill doesn’t shy away from the notion that he’d be remiss if he didn’t offer this notable suggestion: “The last message I want to leave (my readers) with is this: Continuously renew your mind every day. Every single day. Form positive habits. Be the cause and reap the benefits of the effect. Trust God and manifest love at all times.”

Charlotte author Sherry Surratt Beam recalls having conquered suicide attempts, domestic abuse in forthcoming book

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV)

Oddly as it might seem, God deemed it essential some 11-plus years ago to use Sherry Surratt Beam’s tumultuous situation as His strategic way of introducing her to a vital portion of her vision.

Beam, as it turned out, knew full well that since God was behind it all, she had better take it all in stride.

BEAM OF LIGHT IN DARKNESS

QUEEN OF EXCELLENCE — A native of Queens, New York, Sherry Surratt Beam is amongst a of gallery of contributing authors who put their immeasurable testimonies on display in the book entitled, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

“The vision had been there for years,” Beam, a Charlotte, North Carolina author, told Making Headline News this week of the memorable developments that had given way to her sharing of her life-changing testimony in a forthcoming new book. “God spoke this into my spirit four years after my legal separation in 2007. I couldn’t imagine this, because who am I and who would really care about my trials?”

What Beam had come to discover is that a slew of individuals had collectively grasped an interest in hearing of — and reading about — an emotionally-driven, tear-jerking testimony, one that much to her delight, has changed her life for the better.

STAY TUNED — A book that is forwarded by accomplished Flint, Michigan-based author and empowerment extraordinaire and Kilgore Publishing founder Precious S. Brown, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises” is will officially make its presence on the market on December 17.

A book that is forwarded by accomplished Flint, Michigan-based author, empowerment extraordinaire, and Kilgore Publishing founder Precious S. Brown, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises” is will officially make its presence on the market on December 17.

For Beam, she was rather forthright and direct when explaining her reasoning for electing to contribute to an awe-inspiring book that is comprised of a gallery of gifted writers.

“The major purpose of this book is to help others heal,” Beam said. “Being in an abusive situation, there are more than one victim. The veil of shame and bitterness has to be shredded. People need to know there is help and hope for a satisfying future. I will not take my calling lightly until the silent voices are heard.”

Having made her authorship debut through “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises,” Beam is especially grateful that she has been blessed to be thrust upon the ideal spiritual platform to not only share before the masses the trials and hurdles about she’s had to clear but, most importantly, she’s grateful that God has strategically favored her for such a time as now.

“The divine message is, ‘Never give up,’” Beam explained without hesitation. “God says He’ll never leave you or forsake you. I know that to be true. We have to be still at times, drown out all of the distractions, and hear Him.”

Amongst the reasons we must shift our focus to God is because in some cases, Beam hinted, we tend to shy away from the spiritual gesture that is housed in Proverbs 3:5-6.

“We tend to lean to our own understanding of others. He orders our steps, not ourselves. When we lean to our own understanding and veer from His path, we open ourselves up to suffer the consequences of that choice. God is still faithful. If we become quiet and seek His voice, He’ll lead us out of our wilderness.” — Sherry Surratt Beam

Much to her delight, coupled with the divine purpose for which God created her, Beam can dauntlessly profess that she’s conquered her season in the wilderness in flying colors.

BEAM OF LIGHT — Having made her authorship debut through “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises,” Beam is especially grateful that she has been blessed to be thrust upon the ideal spiritual platform to not only share before the masses the trials and hurdles about she’s had to clear but, most importantly, she’s grateful that God has strategically favored her for such a time as now.

Yep. That’s just like God.

“I know what I went through in life was not in vain,” Beam said. “Each chapter I lived through is something I would never imagine for my life. The drug addiction in my 30’s, domestic abuse for 12 years of my life. Last but not least, depression and two suicide attempts.

“God delivered me from it all…when I fell to my knees and cried out,” Beam continued. “That’s why I live to sound the trumpet for those who can’t or are too afraid.”

VISION UNFOLDED — What Beam had come to discover is that a slew of individuals had collectively grasped an interest in hearing of — and reading about — an emotionally-driven, tear-jerking testimony, one that much to her delight, has changed her life for the better.

Interestingly and to her credit, Beam’s valiant contributions to “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises” figures to help create a buzz surrounding Brown’s ninth published book.

“I’ve been promoting (the book) in (the Charlotte) area,” said Beam, who is scheduled to partake in a podcast entitled, “Life Strategies With Monique,” which is hosted by fellow “I Rise” contributor Monique Pettaway. “There have been an overwhelming show of support. To God be the glory. I have an unbelievable empathy for God’s people. He doesn’t want us in bondage to anything. We can overcome through love. It’s just that simple.”

South Carolina Pastor TrVera Williams leading God’s people to make a ‘U Turn’ for Christ

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES PASTOR TRVERA WILLIAMS

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Just after midday EST on Thursday, TrVera Williams took to her Facebook page, where she staged a rather intriguing and thought-provoking video.

The footage before her gallery of social media followers read: YOU ARE NEXT IN LINE FOR A MIRACLE.

Ahhh…just the ideal message by this devout, big-hearted woman of faith whom, to her credit, is being used by God to advance the kingdom unlike never before, for such pivotal time as now.

“When the Lord placed in my spirit to transition, I just didn’t see how that would work,” Williams, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining in great detail the events that had ultimately given way to her establishing a ministry. “Being single and the sole bread winner, my questions were: How am I going to pay my bills and what am I going to do with the business bills?”

U-TURN INTO MORE SUCCESS — A native of Jamestown, South Carolina, Trvera Williams has made some pretty remarkably and progressive strides as the Founder and Senior Pastor of U Turn For Christ Evangelistic Ministries, Inc., which will be celebrating five years of existence in what has been deemed Harvest Celebration 2018, a three-day, power-packed event that will take place November 16-18.

As Williams consequently found it, because her calling to the ministry essentially was God’s will, it was also, by all accounts, His bill.

Yep, that’s just like God.

“The Lord told me that He would take care of me and that I was not to go get another job, but my job was to get up every morning, get dressed and go upstairs and spend time with Him. Initially, fear and anger were present, because I didn’t understand why God would take something away that He told me to build.” — Pastor Trvera Williams

That Williams has steadfastly obeyed the Voice of God has benefited her mightily since she ceremoniously delved off into ministry full time.

SOLID CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION — Having grown up in what is known as the Jehovah Holiness Church, Williams and her family, she explained, were affiliated with the First Born Church Of The Living God, a denomination that is based in Waycross, Georgia.

A native of Jamestown, South Carolina, Williams has made some pretty remarkably and progressive strides as the Founder and Senior Pastor of U Turn For Christ Evangelistic Ministries, Inc., which will be celebrating five years of existence in what has been deemed Harvest Celebration 2018, a three-day, power-packed event that will take place November 16-18.

A non-denominational institution that Williams founded in November 2013, U Turn For Christ is housed in the historic Berea area of Greenville, South Carolina, which is part of the Greenville, Mauldin, and Easley metropolitan statistical areas — a town that is comprised of roughly 14,295 residents, according to the latest U. S. census.

“He then said He was taking it away, but, instead, I was trading in my business, Serenity Rehab And Wellness Center, for something better,” said Williams, recalling the infancy stages of her ministry.

CONNECT WITH U TURN FOR CHRIST VIA SOCIAL MEDIA: https://www.facebook.com/UTFCEM/

Interestingly, U Turn For Christ’s regular worship services took place in the gymnasium of Williams’ place of business in Winter 2013.

Today, however, this up-and-coming ministry’s present site is located at 6243 White Horse Road, Suite F in Greenville.

A church whereby this clergywoman is widely known for emphasizing the spirit of excellence throughout the Body of Christ and in the community, Williams’ professional ministerial resume is such that she isn’t just known for being a solid and notable pastor.

To her credit, coupled with the divine purpose for which she was created, Williams is widely known also as a godly mentor to a host of leaders, particularly those whom likewise have been called to the ministry.

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM — In 2017, Williams witnessed the release of her book entitled, “A Journey With A Promise,” an awe-inspiring written document that is comprised of poems, as well as recording an inspirational scripture and Prayer CD entitled, “Worship In The Word With Anointed Keys.”

Credit her notable and rich upbringing in the church as amongst the reasons Williams is yet witnessing her destiny unfold right before her eyes.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, you can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you, be who God has called you to be,” said Williams, explaining what were amongst the key and strategic values her parents taught her as a child.

Having grown up in what is known as the Jehovah Holiness Church, Williams and her family, she explained, were affiliated with the First Born Church Of The Living God, a denomination that is based in Waycross, Georgia.

The daughter to a mother, who was an evangelist and father, who was a deacon, Williams practically grew up in the church.

GOD’S LEADING LADY — For what’s it worth, that Williams had begun preaching the gospel at the tender age of 16 essentially was a prelude to what is taken place at this stage in her life, a trend that was highlighted by her officially accepting her calling, thus selling out solely to God in 1999.

“I grew up, singing in the choir, being active in the youth department, on speaking programs for youth district meetings,” said Williams, once of a product of the historic Church of God In Christ. “(I also) transitioned into playing the drums and then the keyboard of which I continue to play.”

For what’s it worth, that Williams had begun preaching the gospel at the tender age of 16 essentially was a prelude to what is taking place at this stage in her life, a trend that was highlighted by her officially accepting her calling, thus selling out solely to God in 1999.

How else to explain why she was next in line for a miracle all along?

“My mother says that when I was younger I would preach to my stuff animals,” Williams jokingly said, but with a straight face.

LET US GO INTO GOD’S HOUSE — A non-denominational institution that Williams founded in November 2013, U Turn For Christ is housed in the historic Berea area of Greenville, South Carolina, which is part of the Greenville, Mauldin, and Easley metropolitan statistical area, a town that is comprised of roughly 14,295 residents, according to the latest U. S. census.

Much to her delight, she routinely preaches before people from various walks of life, people who are discouraged and wounded and spiritually incarcerated, people who are in dire need to change the overall landscape of their lives, all the while drawing closer to God in the process.

After all, this is what making a U-Turn for Christ is all about.

“This testimony shows me how I thought I believed and trusted (God), but I saw that I believed as far as the bank account and the pay day, because I knew with my profession, I would not be jobless,” said Williams who, last year, witnessed the much-anticipated release of her book entitled, “A Journey With A Promise,” an awe-inspiring written document of poems. “But this test has helped me stand and continue to build U Turn For Christ Evangelistic Ministries on a sure foundation.”

APPLE OF GOD’S EYE — Much to her delight, Williams routinely preaches before people from various walks of life, people who are discouraged and spiritually incarcerated, people who are in dire need to change the overall landscape of their lives, all the while drawing closer to God in the process. After all, this is what making a U-Turn for Christ is all about.

A solid, faith-based foundation that undoubtedly will stand the test of time with God, its Helper, leading the way.

“Throughout the transition period and for about six months,” said Williams, “not one bill went unpaid, and many bills were written off, all because my faith came up.”

Indeed it deed.

For five years and counting.

Yep, that’s just like God.

Virginia author LaShana Lloyd conquers slew of odds, shares testimonies in awe-inspiring books

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES LASHANA LLOYD

LaShana Lloyd undoubtedly aspires daily to live and savor a faith led life.

Literally and figuratively.

Consider, for instance, how Lloyd essentially drove home such an intriguing notion by way of a rather compelling Facebook post shortly after 8 a.m. EST on Sunday.

Said Lloyd in a spirited, thought-provoking post that was comprised of what she dubbed, “True Words of Wisdom:”

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE — A well-respected military veteran, LaShana Lloyd is accomplished businesswoman and author, who has been blessed — and stayed true to herself — mightily, considering she has made her presence in the ever-so-popular world of authorship.

People will only have as much control as you allow them to have. If you keep letting a person hurt you, they will only hurt you more. If you keep letting a person use you, they will not stop using you. If you allow a person to get comfortable with disrespecting you, there’s a high possibility that they will not leave that place of acting like that toward you anytime soon. But the antidote to all of these problems and those similar to these is putting a stop to it. It’s as simple as that. When you understand who you are and how valuable of a person you are, you will no longer choose to settle for being treated less than that. Grow into the confidence God has given you and you will grow into the person He has created you to be, a person of worth.

Some pretty dauntless and awe-inspiring words by a devout woman of faith whom, to her credit, has remained true to herself both in the natural and spirit.

A well-respected military veteran, Lloyd is accomplished Woodbridge, Virginia businesswoman and author, who has been blessed — and stayed true to herself — mightily, considering she has made her presence in the ever-so-popular world of authorship.

A native of Clio, South Carolina, Lloyd is amongst 22 writers who joined forces to compose the book entitled, “You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through,” a collaborative and informative written document whereby they miraculously spoke about how God steered them from what they described as pain to purpose.

For Lloyd, her assortment of emotionally-driven, life-changing testimonies have benefited and enhanced not only her faith walk with God, but rather those whom, by all accounts, have endured similar experiences.

“To give my testimonies about how I overcame witnessing my father abuse my mother, being sexually abused as a child, and being black balled from the military,” said Lloyd, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, when asked what is her purpose for choosing to collaborate last summer with a host of authors to compose You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through.

Not to be outdone, Lloyd is also responsible for having written yet another remarkably compelling book, this one entitled, “What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears.”

Powered by Rejoice Essential Publishing, Lloyd’s “What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears” was officially released on August 11, 2018, and is centered largely on this Christian-based writer providing some pertinent information, most notably that which fear, as well as the essential tools needed to walk in the confidence that God has given us.

This book also speaks about a great deal of transparency shared by Lloyd, particularly during which she was once bound by fear and how God miraculously delivered her from it.

THE ROMANS 8:18 FACTOR — A native of Clio, South Carolina, Lloyd is amongst 22 writers who joined forces to compose the book entitled, “You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through,” a collaborative and informative written document whereby they miraculously spoke about how God steered them from what they described as pain to purpose.

“There is hope for those who believe that living in fear is the way of life,” said a spokesperson in a detailed breakdown of Lloyd’s What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears at Amazon.com. “You no longer have to be bound by fear. You can be set free. In this book, you will understand what fear is, and how the enemy (satan) is using fear against you. Find out what happens when you allow fear to override your faith.”

As expected, the feedback since the much-anticipated releases of these books have been overwhelmingly favorable, Lloyd acknowledged.

BASKING IN GOD’S GLORY — As expected, the feedback since the much-anticipated releases of these books have been overwhelmingly favorable, Lloyd acknowledged.

“I was blown away at how so many women told me my story touched them,” Lloyd said. “They were shocked at the things I had went through and how God was able to heal me from all of the pain, betrayal, and fears that I had gone through. So many women are embarrassed by the challenges they had to face — and that’s exactly what the enemy wants — but because of my transparency, so many women and men can be set free, stay free, and receive the confidence that God has for them.”

Having accepted what she labels her God-mandated calling to authorship in 2015, Lloyd doesn’t shy away from the notion that God is using her as a vessel to write in such a fashion that her immeasurable gifts would ultimately to draw others to or back to Him.

“The Father told me that He did not allow me to go through everything that I went through to watch me suffer,” said Lloyd, adding that she’s currently fielding speaking engagement requests to promote of her books. “He allowed me to go through everything that I have gone through so that it can be used to help others, especially women. I have a passion to encourage women all over the world.

THE LORD’S DOING — Having accepted what she labels her God-mandated calling to authorship in 2015, Lloyd doesn’t shy away from the notion that God is using her as a vessel to write in such a fashion that her immeasurable gifts would ultimately to draw others to or back to Him.

“Encouraging others with the words that I write and speak is how I am able to not only become stronger every time I release these words, but how others can gain the strength and confidence that they need so that their testimony can come forth as well.”

Eloquently said by this devout woman of faith, one who undoubtedly aspires daily to live and savor a faith led life.

Literally and figuratively.

Houston entrepreneur Nicole Peele survives domestic violence, starts a resourceful online wellness company

A MAKING HEADLINE NEWS SPECIAL REPORT

Just after 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, Nicole Peele was met by a wave of emotions.

For all the right reasons, too.

LIVING HER BEST LIFE NOW — Nicole Peele, a 49-year-old resourceful Houston businesswoman, is the owner and CEO of Nicole Peele Wellness.

“I’m excited and happy and I don’t know if I want to cry,” Peele told Making Headline News during a phone conversation from Houston.

To grasp a thorough understanding of why Peele, a 49-year-old resourceful businesswoman who’s the owner and CEO of Nicole Peele Wellness, was harboring a rather spirited countenance hours after sunrise Wednesday, look no further than the assortment of hurdles about which she’s had to clear in recent years.

Looking back, no one should deem it a surprise to know why she’s admittedly excited and happy and, well, doesn’t know if she just might settle for unleashing a few tears.

For all the right reasons, mind you.

“I’m a domestic violence survivor,” Peele said.

To be more technical, Peele is a once battered woman whom, not too long ago, had become the subject of death threats by her ex-husband.

She recalls like yesterday how in 2016 on New Year’s Eve, she and her two teenage daughters had vacated their home after her abusive husband had left for the gym.

“We left with the clothes on our back,” Peele recalled.

As if that wasn’t enough to shake the spirits of this former military solider, Peele and her daughters were essentially homeless for approximately three months, having established a residence in her car, not to mention having staked out in different hotels, all the while hiding from her former husband whom, according to Peele, had “promised to kill me.”

“He put a gun to our youngest daughter’s head three months before we left,” Peele explained. “My girls have PTSD because of the abuse and gun incident. God kept us. Reiki was a great tool to help us heal emotionally, which is why I was drawn to it.”

Thanks in large part to reiki — which is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being — Peele managed to not just recover mightily from domestic abuse.

Most importantly, she managed to connect with the divine purpose for which she was created.

A United States Army veteran, Peele is a certified Holistic Health Coach and a Naturopathic Rieki Master, whose Lifestyle and Wellness Company customarily provides online wellness coaching and mobile reiki therapy.

A HEARTY SALUTE — A United States Army veteran, Peele is a certified Holistic Health Coach and a Naturopathic Rieki Master, whose lifestyle and Wellness Company customarily provides online wellness coaching and mobile reiki therapy.

“My mission as you start your wellness journey is to meet you where you are,” Peele said. “I make you smarter about food and your relationship with food.  I teach my clients about primary foods…these are things that feed you off the plate.”

As Peele explained, her online wellness venture is grouped into four distinct categories: healthy relationships, desired career, regular physical activity, and a spiritual practice (“not religion,” she emphasized).

“As a Reiki Master, I provide energy healing to clients who suffer from physical, emotional, and spiritual traumas,” Peele said.

A native of Mount Olive, North Carolina, Peele’s desire to start her online wellness company was fueled amid freak back and hip injuries, during which she was on active duty.

“I had four surgeries in two years,” Peele recalled. “I was walking with a walker and crutches. I was 210 pounds and so unhappy.”

Interestingly and much to her delight, she took the initiative to implement the essential changes that would greatly alter the overall landscape of her life.

“I started reading healthy blogs, changing how I age, and started to feel better inside and out…sleeping better, more energy and happy again,” Peele said. “I lost 45 pounds and have kept it off for five years.”

An online wellness company that went into full operations in 2012, Peele has become greatly inspired to aid other women achieve their health-related goals and objectives.

“My competitive drive is to help women who are in the same place that I was find health and happiness,” Peele said.

GIVEN THEM THEIR PROPS — As for those who inspired her to broaden her horizon by starting her business, Peele credits childhood friend Edwina Moore, who she recalled having purchased a NutriBullet and posted it on Facebook some five years ago, thus giving way to favorable results.

“I bought one and haven’t look back,” said Peele, adding that she’s appreciative to Sharetha Simpson, her Reiki Master, whom she credits for having inspired her to become an energy healer.

Arguably one of Peele’s grandest supporters is Chandra Williams, the founder of Amazing Soldiers, Inc. in nearby Katy, Texas, where Peele presently serves as Program Director.

“Chandra has been one of my biggest supporters and encouragers,” Peele said.

This, to her credit, is a far cry from the past.

GIVING BACK IN A BIG WAY — An online wellness company that went into full operations in 2012, Peele has become greatly inspired to aid other women achieve their health-related goals and objectives.

This, to her credit, also sums up why no one should deem it a surprise to know why she’s admittedly excited and happy and, well, doesn’t know if she just might settle for releasing a few tears.

For all the right reasons, too.

“When I was going through my wellness journey, I had nobody to support me,” Peele said. “Edwina lives in Florida. I was in Maryland.  I wasn’t able to explain to my family the reason I wanted to change our lifestyle, so they were not on board.  It is so important that we take back our health and wellness. If I can inspire one person to make healthier choices, then my work is done.”

Organizers of North Carolina nonprofit organization pleading with Stephen Curry, other athletes to help eliminate homelessness amongst military veterans

Surely, one can say this about Dionne Archibald and Pollyanna Neely:

They both undoubtedly and routinely display a compassionate heart for people, most notably military members and veterans.

WAY TA GO, Y’ALL — It is, by all accounts, through Dionne Archibald and Pollyanna Neely’s passion for aiding and showing unyielding support for veterans that these progressively thriving businesswomen collectively established Active Veteran With Answers. A North Carolina-based nonprofit organization that Archibald and Neely started in early 2016, during which a host of retired United States Military Veterans realized they weren’t the only ones in their peer group who had trouble navigating the process of transitioning from the military to civilian life, amongst Active Veteran With Answers’ (or AVWA) chief objectives is to relieve the assortment of challenges associated with the knowledge gap, particularly during the application process for veterans programs and benefits, according to this company’s mission at http://www.activeveteranswithanswers.org.

Consider, for instance, how upon having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management — with a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Military Psychology expected to be acquired someone in Spring 2018 — Archibald deemed it essential to combine her personal and professional experience and place them on a unique platform as a way to exemplify support of veterans — or what she appropriately labels a unique perspective and creative approach which, in essence, are geared largely on focusing on people as they work through the process rather than forcing the process on people.

It is, by all accounts, through Archibald and Neely’s passion for aiding and showing unyielding support for veterans that these progressively thriving businesswomen collectively established Active Veteran With Answers.

A China Grove, North Carolina-based nonprofit organization that Archibald and Neely started in early 2016, during which a host of retired United States Military Veterans realized they weren’t the only ones in their peer group who had trouble navigating the process of transitioning from the military to civilian life, amongst Active Veteran With Answers’ (or AVWA) chief objectives is to relieve the assortment of challenges associated with the knowledge gap, particularly during the application process for veterans programs and benefits, according to this company’s mission at http://www.activeveteranswithanswers.org.

“Our vision is to provide a seamless learning experience for veterans as they navigate the often frustrating and overwhelming benefits channel in order to determine eligibility regarding their earned benefits,” said a spokesperson for AVWA. “If you know someone who is no longer active in the United States Military and wonder whether or not they are receiving all to which they are entitled, then Active Veterans With Answers will help those veterans determine the answers to this question and more.”

Interestingly, Archibald and Neely, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, cited that while military veterans have the support and guidance of one another, they also discovered that many of them struggled to understand the rules surrounding the eligibility requirements for programs, benefits, and services offered through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and its subsidiaries.

This, as a result, practically sums up why a credible 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization such as AVWA is absolutely essential.

“(I love that fact that we’re) being able to provide informational services and guidance for our veterans, family members, caregivers and survivors,” said Neely, when asked what’s she appreciates mostly about AVWA.

To Neely and Archibald’s credit, young Virginia businessman Christian Graves and two-time NBA champion and league MVP  Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors have chimed in mightily as it pertains to aiding America’s beloved veterans.

For starters, Graves, the young mastermind behind Youth Activist and Author Christian Samir Graves, has joined forces with Active Veterans With Answers to give back to a host of veterans organizations in the greater Hampton Roads, Virginia-area.

In addition, Graves and AVWA are challenging the community to save their dimes in a two liter soda bottle — which can hold up to $700 — and turn all donations in to a nearby TowneBank.

Graves, Neely, Archibald, and others recently held a community-wide reception held to present funds to seven area service organizations who are known for assisting in housing homeless Veterans.

The DIMES 4 Homeless Veterans Campaign has been extended to assist other organizations that help homeless veterans annually, Archibald said.

AMERICA’S BALLER — Two-time NBA champion and league MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors drew rave reviews from countless veterans around the country when, just last month, he composed some intriguing commentary on a blog called The Noise to express his support of veterans, having gone as far as to suggest to America that “silence is no longer an option.”

Curry, on the other hand, drew rave reviews from countless veterans around the country when, just last month, he composed some intriguing commentary on a blog called The Noise to express his support of veterans, having gone as far as to suggest to America that “silence is no longer an option.”

STEPHEN CURRY’S COMMENTARY: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/stephen-curry-veterans-day/

“When someone tells me that my stances, or athlete stances in general, are “disrespecting the military” — which has become a popular thing to accuse peaceful protestors of — it’s something that I’m going to take very, very seriously. One of the beliefs that I hold most dear is how proud I am to be an American — and how incredibly thankful I am for our troops. I know how fortunate I am to live in this country, and to do what I do for a living, and to raise my daughters in peace and prosperity. But I also hear from plenty of people who don’t have it nearly as good as I do. Plenty of people who are genuinely struggling in this country. Especially our veterans,” Curry wrote.

WELL-DESERVED HONOR — Prior to the Charlotte Hornets’ game versus the visiting Miami Heat Friday night, the Hornets organization, along with Bank of America, honored Neely, a notable Master Chief Petty Officer, USN, Ret., as this season’s third recipient of the season-long Yellow Ribbon Program. A native of Miami who currently resides in China Grove, North Carolina, Neely served 25 years in the United States Navy, first as a parachute rigger and aviation structural mechanic working on survival gear for pilots and flight crew members, then as a Navy Career Counselor.

All things considered, Archibald, Neely, and Graves are hopeful Curry, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, would continue to speak out on his tireless support of veterans and, most of all, encourage other professional athletes to follow suit.

Graves’ parents are both veterans.

“We appreciate the fact that Stephen (Curry) wants to know about what veterans have been enduring for so long,” Archibald said. “Unemployment, mental health issues, racial inequality and homelessness have plagued the veteran community for decades, and we are asking for Stephen and any other NBA players to use their status to help Active Veterans with Answers and DIMES 4 Homeless Veterans Campaign Founder Christian Graves facilitate an environment that both educates our Nations’ Veterans and assists in eradicating homelessness once and for all.”

Charleston, South Carolina author Jamelia Logan’s brand new, awe-inspiring book figures to have a massive kingdom impact

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

(Psalm 119:71)

David, according to scripture, was widely regarded as a man after God’s Own Heart.

Given the tumultuous, life-changing developments that once surrounded Jamelia Logan, it’s safe to assume that this Charleston, South Carolina-based author can surely attest to this notion.

IT’S THE GOD IN HER — Exhibiting the kind of disposition and spirit of courage similar to that of the Biblical character Job, South Carolina Author Jamelia Logan, for what it’s worth, found herself embracing such a provocative inquiry, particularly during a time in which she needed it most as she eloquently revealed in her newly-released book entitled, Goddidit: The Vindication Journey, Volume 1.

“We oftentimes question God, ‘Why me?’ And God responds, ‘Why not you?” Logan said during a weekend interview with Making Headline News.

Exhibiting the kind of disposition and spirit of courage similar to that of the Biblical character Job, Logan, for what it’s worth, found herself embracing such a provocative inquiry, particularly during a time in which she needed it most as she eloquently revealed in her newly-released book entitled, Goddidit: The Vindication Journey, Volume 1.

While Logan’s newly written document is short in length — the book is comprised of only 54 pages — it is one that figures to have a massive kingdom impact, thus will inspire others to draw closer to Almighty God in the process.

A book that made its ceremoniously debut on the market less than a month ago — October 19 to be technical — Logan’s Goddidit: The Vindication Journey, Volume 1 is a true narration of a real, everyday citizen, who overcame having become another statistic of what is widely viewed as a broken judicial system in America, according to detailed description of this young author’s book at Amazon.com.

“As you read, you will discover how affliction and public humiliation caused this everyday citizen to fully trust God to vindicate her after being faced with a maximum prison sentence of 13 years,” said a spokesperson for Logan’s book.

Interestingly, along with what she labels a vindication journey, Logan has appropriately provided her reading audience with practical and scriptural ways to overcome various forms of afflictions, adversities, hurts in ministry — or, as she puts it to you plainly “people hurt — not to mention a broken justice system.

“The intention of this book is to share my personal testimony, to fulfill prophecy, invoke wisdom, to impart the word of God, and to give you words of encouragement along the way,” said Logan, a married mother of three and a native of Charleston.

A book that Logan initially began composing the same year of her arrest, she needed approximately two years to complete a project that figures to — in case you’ve forget — have a massive kingdom impact, thus inspire others to draw closer to Almighty God.

All things considered and because of the God-mandated calling upon her life, Logan doesn’t shy away from the notion that had it not been for the Lord Who was on her side…well, on second thought, no one, it seems, can tell it like she can.

“After I survived the affliction of being faced with a 13 year prison sentence, to being vindicated with only having to do 80 hours of community service, 46 days in county jail, to having a three-year probation sentence eventually terminated early after only doing six months, to overcoming public humiliation, adversity, to walking out of court of a broken judicial system and, lastly, overcoming being hurt in ministry, it was necessary for me to share God’s goodness and mercy upon my life,” Logan said of an emotional story that, in all likelihood, brings her to tear virtually every time she tells it.

Having been arrested some time in 2015, it was, by all accounts, because of Logan’s incarceration that essentially gave way to arguably the grandest breakthrough of life, an arrest that came wrapped in a spiritual gift, of sorts.

“The Lord had to break me down to raise me up for such a time as this, to minister to the lost, and to encourage those that want to throw in the towel.”

Having been arrested some time in 2015, it was, by all accounts, because of Logan’s unlikely incarceration that essentially gave way to arguably the grandest breakthrough of life — an arrest that, given the subsequent outcome of her encounter, had come wrapped up in a spiritual gift, of sorts.

Need more proof? Well, here ya go.

THE PSALM 105:1 FACTOR — All things considered and because of the God-mandated calling upon, Logan doesn’t shy away from the notion that had it not been for the Lord Who was on her side…well, on second thought, no one, it seems, can tell it like she can.

“I kept a note pad after my initial arrest and, as I began this vindication journey, God led me to write every (encounter) I’ve ever experienced and it eventually went from pad, to paper, to pen, to a word document that later became a book,” Logan explained.

The rest, as they say, was history.

“My story is very compelling, and its divine purpose is designed to share my personal testimony, to fulfill prophecy, invoke wisdom, to impart the word of God, and to give words of encouragement along the way,” Logan said. “The majority of the feedback has been very positive and encouraging. Many have also raved of the book’s transparency as well as it being an easy read that anyone can relate to.”

YOU GO, GIRL!!! Today, unlike never before, Logan is steadfastly walking in it as evidence by her newly-released book.

For what’s it worth, the array of afflictions about which Logan had endured had ultimately given birth to her purpose.

Today, unlike never before, she’s steadfastly walking in it as evidence by her newly-released book that is also available for purchase at Amazon Kindle and Barnes And Noble online.

“For a very long time, I’ve straddled the fence, being incognito to the things of God until I had to really be broken to realize that God had a bigger purpose for my life, rather sitting down on the side lines,” Logan explained. “God’s purpose was for me to endure affliction to help someone else not to go down (that road) and/or make some of the same decisions and paths that lead me to what I’ve gone through.”

After all, David, according to scripture, was widely viewed as a man after God’s Own Heart.

And given the tumultuous, life-changing developments that once surrounded Logan, it’s safe to assume that this Godly author can surely attest to this notion.

As evidenced by her life-enhancing, tear-jerking testimony, one that God endorsed to be wrapped up in 54 pages.
