Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 ESV)
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Just after 6 o’clock EST on Wednesday morning, Angie Mitchell wasted little time hastening to social media, where she shared with the masses her latest — and much-anticipated — milestone.
Said Mitchell before her gallery of followers via Facebook: The count is on and tomorrow is the big day! Join us for the much-anticipated launch of the Kindle version of The Image in The Mirror!
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Mitchell seems overwhelmingly enthralled by her latest awe-inspiring achievement, look no further than the golden opportunity she steadfastly embraced in recent months.
Mitchell is one of 20 co-authors who will collectively pay witness to ceremonious release of The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly, a highly-anticipated anthology that is spearheaded by North Carolina businesswoman, Joan T. Randall, and made its official debut in February 2021.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Mitchell’s quest of becoming a first-time author comes amid humble beginnings.

“I wouldn’t say that I had a vision,” Mitchell, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining the array of developments that have contributed to her having made her authorship debut. “What God did was place me directly in the path of the people that would help change my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
As Mitchell vividly recalls, it was the influential impact of Randall — with whom she initially crossed paths in March 2020 — that fueled her desire mightily to become a part of an anthology that has already created a national buzz.
“That’s when it hit me,” Mitchell recalls. “This was when I met Joan. It was time for me to heal so that I could move on to the next chapter of my life. For me to do that, I had to write (my story) and release the hurt and pain that caused me to suffer with depression and anxiety in silence. My healing was in those words.”
A Buffalo-based Motivational Speaker, Certified Master Life and Personal Development Coach who boasts more than 25 years of Elder Care experience, Mitchell’s chapter in The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly is entitled, “She Needed A Hero.”
For Mitchell, it is a topic she senses has greatly enabled her to press and navigate through arguably the most challenging season of her life — with God, her Helper, steering the way.
“I’d have to say that I joined this anthology because I knew I had to share my story in order to fulfill my life’s purpose,” Mitchell said. “It was time for me to answer what my Creator called me to do. I was not alone in my struggles, and I knew there were other black women who were suffering in silence just as I had done. It is my purpose and mission to use my story to help my sisters get to the other side of the pain of depression and anxiety, just as I had done.”
Mission accomplished, given the enthusiasm Mitchell subsequently exhibited bright and early Thursday morning via her Facebook timeline.
A Bryant and Stratton College alumna who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration, Mitchell has become the beneficiary of favorable feedback since word spread that she’s a newcomer to the authorship industry.
“The anticipation has grown since we are so close to launching,” Mitchell said. “This is a divine masterpiece, and everyone is excited about finally being able to read it.”
When asked how is The Image In The Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly aligns with the purpose for which God has created her, Mitchell — without hesitation, said: “Wow. Where do I start? As I was writing this book, my purpose became clearer each day. In the beginning, I didn’t think I should be writing a book. I mean, who wants to hear about me?
“The more I wrote, the more I understood that I was called to serve women like me. Women that are struggling to emerge from the darkness that depression and anxiety can cause. I was put here to share with them how I made it through, how the goodness of God’s Grace saved me from that darkness.”
Mission accomplished, given the spirited disposition she put on public display bright and early Thursday morning via her Facebook timeline.
