She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16 ESV)

Emily Strickland-Thompson is one blessed woman.
So much, in fact, that she has spent virtually a majority of her life doing the very thing she was ordained to do.
“I have been a leader and mentor all my life,” Strickland-Thompson, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, explaining at length that about which she has become overwhelmingly passionate.
To her credit, Strickland-Thompson, 45, has made immeasurable strides while functioning fervently in the divine purpose for which she was created. The longtime Memphis-area businesswoman, in fact, is responsible for wearing a variety of hats, most notably as an accomplished realtor, retail manager, inspirational speaker and life coach, and Mary Kay and Paparazzi Accessories consultant.
As if those endeavors aren’t enough to make for a busy lifestyle, Strickland-Thompson is co-host for Nerd Of The Culture Radio Show, as well as the founder and CEO of A Chance to Thrive, her nonprofit organization that has become a fixture for helping single moms who lack financial means get basic necessities and develop skills to advance in their careers or to start their own businesses.

“Back cover troubles don’t last always,” Strickland-Thompson steadfastly tells her readers. “Are you tired of the rollercoaster of life? Wondering if your season will ever come? God never promised us a life without pain or trouble. He did promise to be there with us every step of the way. Overcoming will inspire and encourage you as you go through the process of healing. We must learn to trust God and know when we put our problems in His hands, He will put peace in our hearts.”

Besides witnessing the much-anticipated release of her first book, Strickland-Thompson has gone to great lengths to enhance her business-related mechanics, particularly in the wake of this unprecedented global pandemic.
“During this pandemic, we were able to assist with food and necessities,” said Strickland-Thompson, referring to the community activities through her nonprofit organization. “I know there’s purpose in pain. If you are going through it, went through it, and came out, why not help others do the same?”
