SET ASIDE FOR GOD‘S USE
For the record, no one has to remind Dr. Joanne Frederick that she is steadfastly living her best life.
In fact, no one has to remind her that she is living and dwelling on the larger side of God.
Consider, for instance, how God is strategically using this Washington, DC-area businesswoman for His divine glory for such a pivotal time as now.
A first generation American whose parents are natives of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Frederick has been blessed to function mightily in her element as the mastermind behind JFL & Associates Counseling Services, LLC, her DC-area venture that has become a fixture for providing an effective service to the community by way of counseling.
In essence, JFL & Associates Counseling Services’ notable mission is centered largely on providing life-enhancing counseling for adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples, the longtime businesswoman and college professor told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

A family-oriented business that went into full operation in 2000, Dr. Frederick doesn’t shy away from the notion that JFL & Associates Counseling Services is committed to achieving the single, most underlying daily ambition.
“We (are) determined to make an impact,” said Dr. Frederick, who is suitably known to her peers, colleagues, and other business professionals as ‘Jo Jo.’ “The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.”
Having compiled a professional career that is accompanied by more than two-and-a-half decades of experience in chosen line of work, Dr. Frederick is an adjunct professor at George Mason University who also works as counselor in private practice. Interestingly, she specializes in treating people with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, terminal illnesses, and learning disabilities, as well as tend to the essential needs of individuals, couples, groups, adults, and children.

Plans are in the works to air the show on other social networking platforms. Also, advertising opportunities are available, Dr. Frederick told MHN.
“We talk about a variety of things to empower people become better versions of themselves,” Dr. Frederick said of her YouTube show. “I’m a therapist and everybody can’t afford therapy, so (through this show), people get free things virtually. You can learn and grow virtually for free.”
A beloved businesswoman-turned-educator who can be appropriately described as woman of many hats, Dr. Frederick is a co-host for “Talking With My Sistas,” an awe-inspiring endeavor she said is patterned much like The View, which airs on ABC and was founded in 1997 by prominent journalist Barbara Walters and is hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain and Sara Haines.
