Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
JOY–OUS OCCASION
Little did LeTysha Montgomery know, being a member of a notable Facebook group, by all accounts, has given way to a what could be appropriately described as one memorable supernatural blessing, of sorts.
“I saw information about being a co-author in one of the Facebook author groups that I am in,” Montgomery, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, alluding to her latest authorship milestone. “I remember Vernessa (Blackwell) wanted to talk to me first about the project. I knew after talking to her that it was the project for me.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
And just like that, Montgomery continued what has been a banner year for the native Kansan, who has composed four books — all this with a full quarter remaining in 2021.
Born in Olathe, Kansas — a somewhat rural Johnson County establishment that is the fourth-most populous city in the Kansas City metropolitan area — Montgomery is one of 90 co-authors who have contributed to Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, the highly-anticipated 12th anthology that is spearheaded by Blackwell, a longtime Washington, DC author and empowerment extraordinaire.

For Montgomery, her quest for joining an Amazon No. 1 Bestseller anthology comes solely out of a divine act of obedience unto God, she emphasized.
“I decided to be in the book because I love being an author,” Montgomery said. “I also want to expand my brand, plus God is the One Who wanted me to be an author in the first place. It was only right to honor God by doing a devotional.”
To her distinctly unique credit, she’s been as good as advertised. Not bad for a Christian-based writer whose authorship debut materialized earlier this year.
“People love the devotionals,” Montgomery said of her valiant contributions to Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional. “They are impressed that it’s an Amazon No. Bestseller. I have had some books stores that my other books are in specifically request I send this one too.”
Amongst the reasons Montgomery has begun to field a flurry of requests for her books is that not only has she found her fervent niche as an author, but she’s thoroughly convinced she was set aside for God’s use in the process.
Never mind that she’s relatively new to this ever-so-competitive world of authorship.
“God created me to share my story and testimony to help others,” Montgomery explained. “God told me that I could reach a bigger audience through books. So this book definitely helps me in that way and being an Amazon No. 1 Bestseller doesn’t hurt either.”
Besides Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, Montgomery has made her presence felt in three other books:
- Women Inspiring Nations: Volume 3
- She Is Well: Stories Of Power Strength Wellness and,
- The Single, Saved Struggle: The Struggle Continues (Audiobook)
Each of these books were released this year.
As for her notable contributions to Finding Joy In the Journey Vol 2: Healthy Ways To Find Joy During Difficult Times 90 Day Devotional, Montgomery said what it all boiled down to is her passion for writing.

“I started writing and working on my first collaborative book project in September 2020,” Montgomery recalls. “I have pretty much been working on book projects since then. I have really been writing or working on some projects for about a year now.”
Chances are, Montgomery doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon, in large part because she’s convinced her best authorship days are well ahead of her.

“(I don’t anyone else to) to miss out on love or anything else due to fear,” said Montgomery, explaining the divine message she’s sending to her reading author through Joy In The Journey. “Fear scares us and sometimes we miss out on our blessings. Sometimes, your blessings are on the other side of fear. It’s not always about the task, but it’s how you feel about it or approach it. Sometimes, we stand in our way. I want the audience to not stand in their way. (I pray they) get all of their blessings.”
Supernatural ones, to put it more precisely.
