And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those He predestined, He also called, those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-31 NIV)
DADDY’S GIRL
Shania Elliott-McDowell wasn’t about to sugarcoat anything, wasn’t about to hide how she was really feeling internally.
“My underlying reason I chose to write about this is because there are girls growing up and their father was their everything until they find out the secrets about them and it changes their views as a girl,” Elliott-McDowell explained. “They have to grow up and discover the men in their lives sometimes resemble their father.”
The subject to which Elliott-McDowell is alluding is “Breaking The Curse of His Nature,” her featured chapter in Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred, the highly-anticipated anthology that is spearheaded by visionary and award-winning international multi-bestselling author, Elder Joan T. Randall.
An Amazon international bestselling anthology that is comprised of 227 pages in length, Elliott-McDowell deemed it a foregone conclusion to join Randall’s latest collaborative written work, largely because of her stellar showing in the previous one.

“I was in the first anthology, and, in that (book), I started to discuss my early years and my relationship with my mom,” Elliott-McDowell told Making Headline News this week. “So I wanted to talk about my relationship with my father.”
A native of Brooklyn, New York who is owner and CEO of Decadent Chef — her professional private chef/cater venture that was originally established in 2012 — Elliott-McDowell emphasized, among other things, that her selected chapter in Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred is centered largely on serving as a “guiding light” for young women from all walks of life.

“(I want these) young women to know it’s okay to be a daddy’s girl,” Elliott-McDowell said. “But you don’t have to carry the traits of your father, nor look for the traits in the man you want to be with.”
Since word spread that Elliott-McDowell would be composing her fifth book to date, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based entrepreneur-turned-author has fielded a rash of rave reviews.
Besides Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred, Elliott-McDowell appeared in and/or composed the following books:
Evolve: From Heartbreaks to Hearts Healed (her chapter is entitled, “Chapter Nothing But A Miracle”)
The Image In the Mirror: The Reflection That Inspired The Courage To Live Limitlessly (her chapter is entitled, “Shattered Secrets Broken Youth”) and,
I’m Baptized Now What: A Seven Day Affirmation For Your Walk With God
Also, Elliott-McDowell announced that she’s a part of The World Through Their Lenses, an anthology that will debut in the coming months.
DESTINY STEPS
As for her latest authorship milestones, Elliott-McDowell is appreciative of the notion that God has allowed her gifts to make room for her.
Once again.
“This book has been my blessing to be comfortable expressing how I felt growing up,” said Elliott-McDowell, adding that plans are in the works to spearhead her own anthology, as well as a cookbook. “I believe that God has created this space for me to advocate for those who were scared to speak on certain issues that they are dealing with, especially having parents that are living with diseases and keeping it a secret from them. (We’ve got) to make every moment matter.”
Without sugarcoating or hiding anything, of course.
