Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
HAPPY FEELINGS
“Tears… simple as that.”
That was Tammie Harris’ immediate response after the longtime Durham, North Carolina-based businesswoman and philanthropist learned she had been named Making Headline News’ International Women’s Day Women of the Year for 2023.
“I’m so honored that God would give me this opportunity to wear this crown,” Harris told MHN this week. “I’m so grateful to be recognized with such an awesome honor. I’ve been many things in life, but this came right on time as I’ve processed through so many tough seasons over the last year while winning on so many levels, yet experiencing life and managing challenges all at the time. But this acknowledgment made it all worth it. I felt like, ‘Yes…wow…yes…thank you Jesus!’”
Originally called the International Working Women’s Day, this day is celebrated annually on March 8 and customarily commemorates the movement for women’s rights.

According to https://www.internationalwomensday.com/, organizations and individuals around the world have collectively become committed to helping women and girls achieve their ambitions, challenge conscious and unconscious bias, as well as call for gender-balanced leadership and value women and men’s contributions equally.
In addition, this day was designed in part to create inclusive flexible cultures. From awareness-raising to concrete action, organizations rallied their people to pledge support to help forge gender parity on International Women’s Day and beyond, according to a spokesperson for IWD.

The architect of the Tammie Harris Real-Estate Firm, Harris’ latest achievement comes three months after she opened her newest branch in Franklinton, North Carolina.
The Tammie Harris Real-Estate Firm’s main branch is located at 4002 Barrett Drive, Suite 201, in Raleigh.
As Harris recalls, this past year undoubtedly has been filled with what she describes as its share of highs and lows. All things considered, though, she admittedly was determined to exercise her faith as a strategic way to become a better version of herself.
Mission accomplished.

“This past year has been filled of many challenges and processes along the way,” Harris said. “Being a woman managing several businesses, from being in ICU with my son, to the many transitions in my real estate companies, from the opening of my third office to bringing on a COO, broker in charge and a empowerment specialist while helping people transition from the company, to standing strong as a leader that continues to speak in faith in a challenging market to encourage agents to soar and assist families in-spite of rising interest rates.”
Interestingly enough, Harris described the past year as one in which she witnessed a slew of challenges in an ever evolving and competitive real estate industry where she’s steadfastly found her niche and continues to have an immeasurable impact in the process.
“I’ve seen the real estate market rates go from 2.5 percent to 6.5, which effect buyers and sellers tremendously,” Harris explained.” Yet, we’ve been able to continue to educate our buyers and sellers about the market and to help to figure through the maze of it all.”
An empowerment extraordinaire and in own right, Harris emphasized, among other things, that she’s destined to inspire women to broaden their horizon and maximize their potential, especially during an era in which black and brown women are steadily having a favorable global impact on society.
“I will continue to scream it loud from the roof top to just unapologetically rest in who God made you to be and wear it well,” Harris said. “I will continue to coach, train, and motivate women be their best selves as entrepreneurs in spite of life challenges by offering master classes, my signature coaching programs, and summits.
“I will continue to teach the importance of having a healthy mindset,” continued Harris, referencing Psalm 27:13-14. “I’ve seen where a healthy mindset has brought me to a wealthy and healthy place as a business owner with a dynamic and prosperous real estate career and coaching business, a mother of three wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter-in-love, and a healthy granddaughter who all give me life. I can say that I like and love my life with my whole heart, and that after all of the storms and tests, God Himself kept me with His right hand, so I will not complain.
“I will continue to share my testimony so that others will gain from my experiences as well. So much good has happened in my life that many days I just stand in mere amazement, and this is one of them days. I owe God my whole life.”
