To her distinctly unique credit, Dr. Sonia White has made yet another monumental stride in her illustrious entrepreneurial journey.
The beloved and well-respected U.S. Veteran and philanthropist on March 26 hosted the Winners of the World Global Magazine Launch, which honored women as part of its inaugural event.
Powered by Women’s History Month in conjunction with Women’s Of This World, the Winners of the World Global Magazine Launch took place in Houston, was co-hosted by Dr. White and Lauren “Bobby Pen” Williams, and featured a number of notable dignitaries, most notably the honorable Congresswoman Sheila Lee Jackson, who was a the featured speaker.

State Representative Shawn Thierry, The GLAM Coach Sonja Pelton-Sam, and Vicki Semander of The CEO Sistership also made guest appearances during this credible empowerment assembly.
State Representative Ron Reynolds served as Master of Ceremony and Girl Who Brunch Founder Ni’Cola Mitchell was the recipient for Proclamation Day during Dr. White’s Winners of the World Global Magazine Launch, a segment that was conducted by Houston mayor Sylvester Turner.
Mitchell’s life-altering story debuts April 8 on Lifetime.
A longtime CT Technologist and Mammography who is the founder chair of the SMILE Foundation Inc., White was the beneficiary of slew of rave reviews and favorable feedback from attendees of her recent event.
Dr. White’s the Winners of the World Global Magazine Launch took place a little less than three months after the longtime Texas businesswoman hosted her Third Annual Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards.
SALUTING MIGHTY MEN OF VALOR
“Amazed as one of the best events attended, the power networking in the room and the profound statement by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee,” Dr. White, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling some of the feedback she garnered in the aftermath of her recent assembly. “There (was) power in this room. The guests and honorees were over-the-top and very pleased with everything.”
Accompanied by the theme, Women Winning And The W.O.W. Experience, Dr. White described the event as a “beautiful collaboration of women celebrating each other,” one that was highlighted by Congresswoman Jackson the Jackson Lee’s announcing during her speech her plans to her run for mayor of the City of Houston.
“(I am pleased with) the outstanding job of our Master of Ceremony, State Representative Ron Reynolds, the entertainment by Lady Kimberly Jackson, Kaylin Lyons, and Stephanie Bension, and the Salt & Pepper Gang, who gave out yellow roses to all the women,” Dr. White said. “They were superb and very professional gentlemen.”
Also during the event, Dr. White presented Jackson Lee with compelling art work that featured a gallery of legendary women, including the beloved Congresswoman.
Dr. White’s itinerary includes an appearance at the forthcoming Essence Festival, during which her organization will host a empowerment workshop with celebrity guests and speakers July 1.
The Essence Festival is scheduled to take place June 29-July 3 in New Orleans.
“Yes, we will be at The Essence Festival,” Dr. White said. “Get your tickets to this powerful workshop with special celebrity guests and speakers.”
Also, Dr. White announced her organization will host an event honoring men June 25 during what has been suitably dubbed the W.O.W. Awards.
“And their exclusive features (will include) the Top Men of 2023,” Dr. White said of her forthcoming event. “We can’t wait.”
