MAKING BOSS MOVES
Renowned actor Lamman Rucker will be amongst a gallery of dignitaries who is scheduled to attend the Nurse Boss Summit, hosted by longtime North Carolina businesswoman Tammy Jurnett-Lewis.
Powered Jurnett-Lewis’ Ideal Healthcare Services — her consulting firm for small business start-ups in the healthcare industry that was established in 2015 — the Nurse Boss Summit will take place July 28-29 at Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons, located at 3121 W Gate City Blvd. in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Generally, the Nurse Boss Summit is purposed in large part to offer golden opportunities for nursing and aspiring nursing professionals to reinforce their respective brand, network, and launch new services and, most of all, acquire the essential knowledge that would enable them to become a “boss,” according to a spokesperson for this event.

Added Jurnett-Lewis during a recent interview with Making Headline News:
“The purpose of the event is to bring nurse leaders and nurse entrepreneurs together to assist them with leadership skills, business start-up and expansion, as well as providing a networking platform for them.”
During the two-day Nurse Boss Summit, vendor opportunities will be available to give nurses access to different resources, the SBA, colleges, etc., Jurnett-Lewis said.
Also, an awards gala will take place on the opening night of the summit, during which event officials will recognize nurses for their hard work and achievements.
“One of the things that we are doing differently this year is offering a self-care suite for the nurses to be pampered,” Jurnett-Lewis told MHN. “It will include chair massages, satin hands treatments and makeup artist, and a lounge to relax. Nurses work hard and self-care is important.”
SAVE THE DATES
Another intriguing addition to this year’s summit, Jurnett-Lewis announced, is that her organization will partner with the Anthony Lewis Foundation for Brain Tumors, Inc. nonprofit organization to collectively raise funds for a notable cause.
“Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the foundation,” Jurnett-Lewis said.
Besides Rucker, Guy Lockard, Amy Loughren, and Adrienne “Gammy” Norris are amongst the other prominent personalities who are scheduled to attend to this year’s Nurse Boss Summit.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rucker, 51, began his career on daytime soap operas As the World Turns and All My Children before assuming roles in The Temptations and Tyler Perry’s films Why Did I Get Married?, Why Did I Get Married Too?, and Meet the Browns, and its television adaptation.
In 2016, Rucker began starring as Jacob Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series, Greenleaf.

Lockard, meanwhile, acquired his stardom in entertainment during his adolescence, particularly when he landed his first major role as a squad member on BET’s hit show, Teen Summit. His five-year stint on the show — during which he was quickly promoted to host — was a surge to Lockard’s confidence, and a professional springboard catalyzing incredible opportunities.
One such opportunity was a chance to serve as a youth panelist on former NAACP president, Kweisi Mfume’s television show, The Bottom Line With Kwesi Mfume.
HOLDIN’ IT DOWN
The mother of actress Jada Pinkett-Smith who is suitably known as “Gammy,” Norris is the face of Red Table Talk and Positively Gam Podcast Season 2.
Also, during her two-day empowerment assembly, Jurnett-Lewis — who boasts over three decades of experience in the nursing profession — said nurses will be afforded golden opportunities to earn continuing education units (or CEUs).
