Another year, another monumental milestone for Dr. Monica D. Reed.
Approximately a year-and-a-half after acquiring an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Dr. Reed is about to accomplish yet another life-altering feat.
The Atlanta-area businesswoman and philanthropist has been named a recipient for The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her notable community service contributions.
“Dr. Monica D. Reed is among the esteemed trailblazers who will be recognized for their dedication and outstanding commitment to volunteerism and service, which has made a positive impact on the communities they serve,” said retired Air Force veteran Dr. Radiance Rose, referring to an honor that is powered by ViVi Cole Coaching & Consulting LLC, an official certifying organization that is affiliated with President Biden.
A native of Ewing, New Jersey, Dr. Reed is widely regarded as a solid voice to change the trajectory of adverse childhood experiences and, to her credit, is a prime example of what happens when thought leaders raise awareness, create solution-based environments, and face life with a choice point, the longtime businesswoman told Making Headline News this week.
As part of Making Headline News’ 2023 Essence Music Festival advance coverage leading to the “the party with a purpose” event June 29 through July 3 in New Orleans, Dr. Reed emphasized, among other things, that community outcomes customarily emerge as an “excellent example” of positive post-traumatic growth.
By all accounts, Dr. Reed has led several social-impact and empowerment movements, most notably R.E.N.E.W.W. Your Marriage, R.E.N.E.W.W You, and the popular I Am the VOICE of My Ancestors movement, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
To her credit, Dr. Reed is a beloved driving force in her community.
For what it’s worth, she has garnered high praise, particularly through her service and community contributions through Motivating The Masses With Lisa Nicholas, Global Leaders Academy With Susie Carter, and servicing and leading various departments — most notably the youth — at Second Atlanta’s Calvary Baptist Church.
Moreover, Dr. Reed has become committed to spending the “rest of my life” to creating strategic platforms and programs to help women-led social-impact entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and legacy leaders rise and help establish stronger family foundations.
LEADING THE CHARGE
Having adopted the motto, When One Woman Heals, One Family Can Begin To Heal, Dr. Reed is responsible for having founded the first black-owned entrepreneur business center in Bucks County, Pennsylvania — north of Philadelphia — to provide the resources needed for startup entrepreneurs.
She is the visionary of Black Family Breakthrough, a rising empowerment platform that has become a fixture for addressing challenges within the community which, in turn, hinders people from building strong family foundations.
The founder of Black Family Magazine, Dr. Reed serves as executive director of the Love Mama Inspires Foundation, an organization routinely serves children and young adults who have lost their mothers amid unforeseen circumstances.
“Generally, this organization ensures to continue empowering, inspiring, guiding the children with the love, support, and community they need to carry out their family legacy,” Dr. Reed told MHN.
The face of HER Impact & Success Leadership Academy, Dr. Reed is the first in her family to receive an “outstanding” Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, coupled with the prestigious United Nations Global Woman of Distinction Award.
This honor is presented by the fully accredited Trinity International University of Ambassadors School of Business honors program.
