As Dr. Ronald S. Hobson vividly recalls, his awe-inspiring vision for composing his latest book unfolded during what he describes as the “latter end” of 2022.

The book will officially debut April 6, although it is available for purchase online, Dr. Hobson told MHN this week.
“Reading through it allowed me to appreciate my journey despite the unknown of what’s ahead,” Dr. Hobson said. “The book is an integral part of my spiritual journey and calling, sharing personal experiences, and lessons learned to inspire and guide others in their leadership paths. It’s something that has become so natural to me to do in ministry that frequently, I do it with no push or realization of what I am doing until God begins to reveal to me the purpose of a person being in my life.”
Since word spread of the 68-page Leading While Bleeding, Dr. Hobson has become the beneficiary of a rash of rave reviews.
“I give God glory for all the feedback that’s come thus far,” Dr. Hobson said. “Between the responses of both books, leaders and some of my spiritual sons and daughters have benefited from reading them as they got to experience a personal side of me that they haven’t experienced. Prior to producing Leading While Bleeding, Dr. Hobson made his authorship debut with the release of Who’s Your Moses: In the Eyes of A Lad.

ABOUNDING IN THE LORD’S WORK
As for whether other books are on the horizon, Dr. Hobson said:
“At present, I have no plans to write another book. At the same time, after my first book, I didn’t know there was a second until God revealed it. So, I remain yielded to His Spirit for guidance even in the revelation of a new book.”
Interestingly enough, Dr. Hobson’s Leading While Bleeding has been nominated for The Author Award For Outstanding Literacy Work. The winner will be announced at The Author’s Award Ball Dinner in Washington, DC on March 23.
FAITH LEADER-TURNED ENTREPRENEUR
Having become a fixture in ministry for over 35 years — including 24 years of pastoring “God’s people” between Baltimore and Brockton, Massachusetts — Dr. Hobson ultimately founded The Reconstruction Church, which in 2018 merged with Prayer Love Tabernacle under Pastor Audrey Rhodes’s leadership.
After the leading of The Lord and due to water damage, we had no place of worship until we met Bishop John A. Bridges, Sr. of New Fellowship Christian Ministries, Brockton,” Dr. Hobson recalls. “After our first meeting and by the leading of the Lord, the Bishop and I decided to merge both churches to become one as a beacon light to the community we serve.”
Today, Dr. Hobson serves on the Episcopal Board of Bishops, the National Chairman of the Men’s Ministry, the Chairman of Clergy Training, and The Presiding Bishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Massachusetts (TEPOM) for the United Fellowship of Christian Churches and Ministries, Inc. (UFCCM) under the leadership of Presiding Prelate, Bishop Henry A. Tindal, Sr.
“Also, in 1.6 years, I took the vision of a business from nothing to a 1.6-million-dollar business, Southern Comfort Restaurant,” Dr. Hobson said.
Southern Comfort Restaurant was voted one of the Top 10 restaurants on the South Shore in 2023.
“Also, during the pandemic, the food ministry expanded and continues to feed those in need in our community,” Dr. Hobson said. “As an entrepreneur, author, father, and spiritual leader, I endeavor to continue to help the needy and bring them out of darkness into the light of Jesus Christ. Serving is what I do. It’s who I am.”
