A native of Memphis, Tennessee who has emerged as a best-selling author, Goodwin — in lieu of the forthcoming history-making Voices On Paper 8-City Book Tour 2025 — said God infused within her the awe-inspiring vision to spearhead her book series sometime in 2017.
“Actually, I began writing the series in January of 2024 and finished the last book on Dec 31, 2024, at 11:59 (p.m.) exactly,” Goodwin told MHN. “I was determined not to keep (God) waiting any longer, I had to complete this assignment in one year.”
Mission accomplished for this beloved Mid-South faith-based writer, whose authorship adventure has become nothing short of remarkable.
“The reason I wrote this book was due to the encounter I had with God,” Goodwin said. “During this encounter, He literally spoke into my spirit and told me to reach up from earth to heaven and agree with His word for my life. I made the choice to be obedient to His command.”
For her valiant efforts, Goodwin’s The Agreement Book Series has garnered an assortment of rave reviews.
“The feedback from these books is amazing,” Goodwin said. “The Agreement Book Series is being read to children to increase their self-esteem. They are being used in prisons for inmates to regain a fresh start. They are being used in a women’s rehabilitation center for encouragement and motivation to make better choices and live a better life. “I am currently seeking 23 women for an anthology entitled Partnering and Parting with the Practiced Husband: From Practiced To Promised,” Goodwin said.
