But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6/KJV)
UNSHAKABLE FAITH

Coach Annie Pelissier didn’t waste any time.
A little more than a year removed from having composed her first book, the rising author who’s suitably known as Coach Annie has announced the forthcoming release of her sophomore written work.
The title: Kept In The Dark: Finding Faith When You Can’t Feel God. A Sixty-Day Devotional Journal, Coach Annie’s highly-anticipated second book that is scheduled to make its ceremonious debut July 1.
As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage ahead of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Third Annual Woman Evolve Conference July 31 through August 2 from Atlanta, Georgia, Coach Annie said her forthcoming new book comes amid arguably one of the “most uncertain and quiet seasons” of her life.

“It was a time when I felt overlooked, worn out, and spiritually dry, even though I was still serving, praying, and showing up,” Coach Annie, a Boston, Massachusetts-based empowerment coach, told MHN. “In those moments, I began to journal my raw prayers, questions, and reflections. I realized I wasn’t alone, so many people feel like they can’t be used by God because of what they’ve been through, or because life hasn’t turned out the way they expected.”
As Coach Annie vividly recalls, the awe-inspiring vision for her books in the wake of those times during which she spoke to her — as only He could.
“I kept sensing God say, ‘There’s power in what you survived. Someone needs your honesty,’” Coach Annie said. “That’s when the vision became clear. This book isn’t just a devotional. It’s a companion for those who are walking through doubt, disappointment, or silence from God. I wanted to share my personal prayers and the truths that helped me keep going, so others can know they’re not forgotten, and they’re still very much called.”

By all accounts, Coach Annie emphasized, among other things, she felt greatly inspired to compose Kept In The Dark: Finding Faith When You Can’t Feel God. A Sixty-Day Devotional Journal as a strategic way to encourage and empower people who feel like life has disqualified them.
“I wanted to remind them that no matter what they’ve faced — disappointment, delay, heartbreak, or even silence from God — they are still kept by Him,” Coach Annie explained. “This book is my testimony in devotional form. It’s for the person who’s still showing up but secretly struggling…the one who wonders if God still sees them. I needed them to know: Yes, He does. And even in the dark seasons where you feel overlooked or unsure, God’s hand is still on your life. You’re not forgotten. You’re kept.”
Coach Annie’s Kept In The Dark: Finding Faith When You Can’t Feel God. A Sixty-Day Devotional Journal comes a little more than a year after she made her authorship debut with the release of Taking Your Dreams Off Life Support, a riveting, life-altering written work that has created a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms.
JUST A MUSTARDSEED
Coach Annie’s Taking Your Dreams Off Life Support officially hit the market in November 2023.
As for her latest book, Coach Annie suggests it is one she senses has been in the production phase her entire life.
“Because it’s rooted in my life’s experiences, my quiet prayers, and the seasons that shaped me,” Coach Annie said. “I didn’t sit down one day and decide, ‘I’m going to write a devotional.’ It came from years of journaling, praying, crying, and growing.”
For what it’s worth, such “journaling, praying, crying, and growing,” this author discovered, was a season that wasn’t wasted. If nothing else, it was a season that helped steer her towards her destiny.
“Over time, I began to realize that what I was capturing wasn’t just for me. It was for others, too,” Coach Annie said. “While this published version includes 60 days of devotionals, it’s really just a portion of a much larger journey. I’m still writing, still being refined, and still walking with God. This is just the beginning because His work in us doesn’t stop. And neither does the story.”
BEAUTY FOR ASHES

When asked if Book 3 is on the horizon, Coach Annie said:
“Possibly. I’m definitely open to it and allowing God to lead. Right now, I’m just grateful to have released this devotional, but I do believe there may be more to come, whether that’s more faith-based books, devotionals, or even self-help and personal development resources. I’ve lived through a lot, and I know there are still more stories, lessons, and encouragements to share.
“So while I don’t have a set title or plan yet, I’m staying prayerful and available. Whatever God puts on my heart next, I’ll be ready.”
Chances are, she likely won’t waste any time, either.
