Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
RUNNIN’ FOR JESUS

Arguably no one, quite frankly, can tell it like Elder Nodella Sacajawea Jordan.
No one, in fact, can possibly sum up how her competitive drive during the course of her life has greatly equipped and empowered her to reap success in ministry.
Sustained success, to put it more precisely.
“Despite growing up in public housing and witnessing economic struggles and varying abuse, I was determined to forge a different path not just for myself but for my children and grandchildren,” Elder Jordan, a Baltimore, Maryland-based faith leader, told Making Headline News as part of its national coverage during Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Third Annual Woman Evolve Conference July 31 through August 2 from Atlanta. “My refusal to become society’s statistics further fueled my competitiveness in succeeding in showing them that no matter the odds one faces, if you don’t give up anything is possible. Today, I have proven this to be.”
Indeed, she has, considering Elder Jordan had made a pledge to retire from her notable profession at an early age — 46, to be technical.
SALUTING WOMEN WHO SHAPE OUR WORLD
“Reflecting on my many years of professional experiences, it prepared me for conducting church business, negotiating transactions, and mentoring colleagues, which further shows that I’m not only a successful businesswoman but also a natural leader and an inspiration to others,” explained Elder Jordan, who returned to the workforce as a senior administrative assistant and is on the brink of commemorating 37 years as an esteemed administrative professional.
“One of my greatest desires is to pass on my strong work ethics and competitive drive to my children and grandchildren, emphasizing the importance of being driven to succeed.”
A native of the Bronx, New York who spent a majority of her life in nearby New Haven, Connecticut, Elder Jordan is the face of Nodella S Jordan Ministries (formerly NSJ Ministries).
“My passion is to be a ministry leader with integrity and excellence, which is passed on through every connection creating lasting relationships,” Elder Jordan told MHN. “When people seek me out for ministry, the one thing they express is my integrity and professionalism.”
Since the inception of Nodella S Jordan Ministries, Elder Jordan has enjoyed a considerable amount of success, all the while functioning fervently in her divine calling.

In January 2024, she launched the A Healed Mind (…is an Empowered Mind) Virtual Conference, a faith-based empowerment assembly that aims to assist believers overcome traumatic experiences starting with the mindset.
Then in October 2024, Elder Jordan’s She Breathed Women’s Ministry was launched and hosted its inaugural She Breathed Women’s Conference.
“Our mission and purpose is to Resuscitate Women With Purpose, God’s ordained purpose for their life,” Elder Jordan said.
Consequently, in May 2025, Elder Jordan’s She Breathed Women’s Ministry hosted its first Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch, which was a “huge success,” she recalls.
“There will be other activities added in the coming months to further guide women on fulfilling their purpose,” Elder Jordan said.
To her credit, Elder Jordan’s rising ministry is steadily attracting a widespread national presence, most notably in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida, California, Indiana, and Texas, among others.
“I know there are many more state lines I must cross in the coming days, months, and years and welcome it,” Elder Jordan said.
As for her strategic mission through Nodella S Jordan Ministries, Elder Jordan doesn’t shy away from the notion that her kingdom work is centered largely on steadfastly glorifying God.
“(This) truly is what God has called me to do,” Elder Jordan, Making Headline News Woman of The Year for 2019, said. “All that I desire to do, He has given me as one who had no prior church experience or relationship with Him as a child. It wasn’t until I became a young adult — around 19 or 20 years old — that I was introduced to Jesus and have been on that path ever since. I recognize the lives that can be changed through and by the Word as I, too, live out my life as an example. Knowing how the Word has transformed my life, I know it can do the same for others.”
Having become a licensed missionary in November 1997, Elder Jordan was officially ordained as a minister in the Lord’s church in June 1998. Consequently, she became an ordained evangelist in August 2014 then an ordained elder in August 2022.
Much to her delight, she enjoyed a ministerial tenure than spans more than three decades, a faith-based stint that includes having taught Sunday School and Youth Bible Study years before she accepted her divine calling.
When asked why it is imperative to esteem and inspire others daily, Elder Jordan said:
“The Word of God tells us to. There’s no need for ministry if we are going to be passive about the impact we have on the lives of others as well as our own. Jesus tells us in Matthew 28 that we’ve been called to be His disciples going to the nations baptizing those who would believe and receive. When I see the conditions of this world and the people, I get emotional because this is not the will of God nor the reason Jesus gave his life.
GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

“Some people believe the life they’re living is how God intended, which is not when we speak of sickness, disease, poverty, war, hatred, and everything else negative,” Elder Jordan continued. “However, this does not mean we were to live a problem-free life, but with Christ we can truly do all things and achieve greater. If I can just reach one person at a time, then I am fulfilling one of my purposes. That’s why I share my testimony when led by the Spirit of God to let people know you can overcome what seems to be impossible. Just thinking about how I overcame and continue to overcome makes me a little emotional.
“There was a time in my life where I thought I was broken beyond repair, but Jesus showed He is who He is because of what He can do and proved me wrong, and for that I rejoice daily.”
After all, arguably no one, quite frankly, can tell it like Elder Jordan.
