During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Jarden said the vision for composing Removal of The Mask 2.0: Unfiltered: Nothing Left To Hide surfaced amid the death of her mother in May 2025.
“For so long, I had been the strong one — the person everyone could depend on,” Jarden told MHN. “I kept the façade in place and repeatedly told people, ‘I’m okay’ even when I wasn’t.”
By all accounts, Jarden vividly recalls in the aftermath of mother’s passing how she subsequently commenced to experiencing a rash of emotions, many of which she admittedly she could no longer ignore.
“Including anger, sadness, and isolation,” Jarden recalls. “I had spent so much time appearing strong for everyone else that I had to confront a difficult truth: I was hurting, too. That season forced me to face my pain honestly and became the beginning of this book.”
