I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)
ANSWERED PRAYERS
As far as preparation meeting opportunity goes, Nova Walton-Marriott wasn’t about to let nothing stop her from achieving success.
Not even a seemingly discouraging encounter that was mired by her having vacating grade school prematurely.
“I attended high school in New York, dropped out in the 11th grade, and acquired a GED in July 1991,” Walton-Marriott, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the downtrodden season of life, one that had ultimately fueled her desire to persevere unlike never before.
And persevere she did, considering Walton-Marriott not only resumed her education and completed the requirements necessary to obtain a diploma, but she steadfastly persevered in such a way that she presently has a pair of Master’s Degrees behind her name.
To her credit, Walton-Marriott is steadily making favorable strides, most notably through the ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship.
A native of Queens, New York, Walton-Marriott, 44, is the owner and CEO of Hier Self LLC.

A business whose name was coined from the words, “HIER,” — the abbreviation of the word, “hierarchy,” — Hier Self LLC, as Walton-Marriott explained, means “upper echelon” or “point of authority.”
There is, by all accounts, an intriguing reason she deemed it essential to establish such a venture that’s based in Baltimore.
“I wanted a name that represented strength, tenacity, leadership and self-actualization,” Walton-Marriott said. “My services will focus on helping people realize their greatest potential, taking guidance from Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It will be multi-functional and open to any business venture paralleling its purpose.”
A business venture whereby her immeasurable philanthropic deeds are often put on display, amongst Walton-Marriott’s key objectives is centered in large part on promoting her forthcoming book entitled, “The Sleeper Has Awakened,” a project she commenced to assembling back in May.
In addition, Walton-Marriott’s Hier Self LLC is widely known for offering life and parent coaching, conducting workshops that are centered on anti-bullying, vision and self-awareness, as well as parenting.
An accomplished businesswoman, Walton-Marriott said plans are currently in the works to erect a hoodie and t-shirt line, one that will be centered on her unique slogan, “Aiming For My Hier Self.”
Walton-Marriott’s catchphrase is currently seeking copyrights, she told MHN.
“My long-term goal is to publish a children’s book I wrote on autism, open a few transitional homes, focusing on teen-aging out of foster care, domestic violence victims, and formerly incarcerated women,” said Walton-Marriott, disclosing the various entities her business will offer. “I also wish to teach abroad, start a travel blog, and air a podcast.”
Generally, Walton-Marriott’s desire to establish Hier Self LLC was fueled largely because of her keen passion for developing people, she emphasized.
“In the past, I worked in training and development as an instructor at a training academy and taught for a short tenure at a local college,” Walton-Marriott explained. “After 12 years of working in the Criminal Justice field, I became burned out and felt complacent.”
It wasn’t long thereafter that Walton-Marriott had taken what she describes as “a leap of faith” in December 2018, a development that eventually gave way to her having resigned without a new job.
Never mind that was she jobless for approximately a quarter of a calendar year.
“I was unemployed from January 2019 to April 2019 and drove for Uber and Lyft to make an income,” Walton-Marriott recalled. “During that time, I saw how it felt to have freedom to pursue my interests. I began brainstorming about possible business ventures, started writing my books, obtained a life coach certification, and wrote three workshops with hopes of using them in entrepreneurship at a later date. I have since returned to the workforce, but anticipate venturing out on my own again.”
Talk about an effective and strategic agenda that, much to her delight, has proven beneficial to her lofty quest to fulfill her purpose.
“My venture is still new,” Walton-Marriott said. “Thus far, I have initiated a very successful fundraiser to assist in donating to a local shelter (Code Blue Shelter, Baltimore, MD) and food pantry (CARES-Govans, MD).”
Walton-Marriott said she has garnered $1,000 in monetary donations to date toward her initiative and plans are in the works to hold an annual drive of some sort.
“I am currently promoting my book that just went up for pre-sale on November 12, and am currently developing the hoodie and t-shirt line, working collaboratively with a graphic artist,” Walton-Marriott said of other efforts that have enabled her to push her latest endeavor. “Currently, I am local with this venture, but hope to expand across the United States and abroad.”
Given the immeasurable strides she’s made thus far as the face of Hier Self LLC, chances are Walton-Marriott’s venture figures to attract a global presence much sooner than later.
My personal mission is to inspire and develop,” Walton-Marriott said. “I want to use my life experiences as a blueprint to help others head their mistakes up at the pass. I want to use my life, education, and professional skills to make a difference.”
After all, as far as preparation meeting opportunity goes, she wasn’t about to let nothing stop her from achieving success.
