Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.
. (1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV)
GOD’S LEADING LADY
Because of whom she is and become of the immeasurable anointing that is on her life, God allowed it to happen at just right time for Jean Turner.
In fact, it happened “suddenly,” she customarily says when recalling her life-altering testimony.
“I had a health coaching business that I had to terminate while I was walking through a suddenly health challenge and undergoing chemotherapy treatments,” Turner, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that had ultimately lead to the startup of her featured endeavor. “During that dark time, I was given the opportunity to do a 10-minute health chat on another show and a year and two months later, I was offered the opportunity to host my own show.”
And the rest, as they say, was history for Turner, an Atlanta-area businesswoman who is the face of “Health Chat with Coach Jean,” her globally-acclaimed health radio and podcast show that airs on Positive Power XXI Christian Media.

A show that recently debuted, Turner’s “Health Chat with Coach Jean” has become a fixture for educating, empowering, discussing, debating, and debunking all things related to health, healing, and wholeness, all of which is accomplished through body, mind, and spirit.
“Health Chat With Coach Jean” streams every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST and is aired at http://positivepowerxxi.org/LiveStreamCh-2. Callers can dial in by calling 712.770.4160 (the access code is 895455#).
“I spent years providing health care and education to others,” Turner said of her rise as a radio show host. “My desire to share my passion for health, wellness and wanting to see others healthy and whole is what propelled me to step out into unknown territory.”
A retired military veteran who spent more than two decades in the U.S. Army, coupled with having served as an Army Nurse Corps Officer, Turner strategic mission through her latest endeavor is centered largely on addressing what she refers to as a “pre-health challenge to post-health challenge.”
“Until I became a recipient of healthcare, I was healthy and on zero medications, a marathon/half-marathon runner, and a soldier in the U.S. Army,” said Turner, explaining her personal mission for her newly-established show. “All I knew was how to be healthy, so my mission was solely to teach prevention. Fast forward to post-health challenge, my mission now is to share my testimony of God’s healing, miracle working power, to teach and empower others to be stewards over their health and to provide them the tools they need to walk in and maintain their healing.”

A native New Yorker, Turner is a registered nurse and a health coach whose careers spans 33 years.
“I am about to retire from the U.S. Army after 25 years of total service as an Army Nurse Corps Officer,” said Turner, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso, a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from Troy University, as well as national certifications in OB Nursing and as a Health Coach. “Now that I’ve gone from being a giver to a recipient of healthcare, I’m a witness that health is wealth. We all want to be successful, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, regardless of how we define success or what that looks like to us, it cannot be achieved unless one is strong and healthy.”
An endeavor that services individuals and groups from all walks of life, Turner’s venture is two-fold, she emphasized.
“Before my ‘suddenly,’ the age group my business catered to was 50 years, young and beyond,” said Turner, referring to her credible preventive health program known as “Fitfoxy50&BEYOND.” “While I still offer this signature program, my main focus is on adults — any age — living with chronic illness and/or disease, particularly those either undergoing chemo treatments, those who’ve conquered cancer but want to change their lifestyle to maintain their healing, and those with cardiovascular disease.”
All things considered, Turner’s husband, James L. Turner, for the past two-plus decades has been quite instrumental in the sustained success she’s enjoyed through her selected line of work.
And, although the COVID-19 pandemic has caused several postponements of a number of events on Turner’s itinerary, this accomplished minister-turned-media personality acknowledged she’s still destined to do they very thing she was called to do. That is, educate and empower the importance of possessing and savoring a healthy, carefree lifestyle — through body, mind, and spirit.
“The cost of healthcare and health disparities have created a situation where many are having to decide, ‘Do I purchase my medicine, eat, or pay my rent or mortgage?’” said Turner, adding that she’s seeking physicians, registered dieticians, and bariatric surgeons to join her on her show.
“I believe self-care is a form of healthcare. We’re taught that we’re to be good stewards over our finances and money, but we need to practice stewardship over our health, over our healing. We’ve got one life to live and our bodies are temples. It is imperative that we be good managers of our health if we are to be successful and fulfill our purpose, reach our God given destiny.”
Just as God has purposed us to.
