A REAL GAME CHANGER
DALLAS — During an interview this week with Making Headline News, accomplished Houston-area businessman Kevin D. Walls was asked to introduce his latest venture.
“Well, first of all, I’m in the business of helping make people’s lives better,” Walls said. “That’s the irreducible basics of business…if your business is not doing that, in my opinion, you’re not in business. “
To his distinctly unique credit, Walls’ entrepreneurial resume is such that he’s destined to help people reap and savor carefree lives, most notably as a deal architect and the proud co-founder of the credible real estate investing mastermind group, Real Estate Cash Flow Hunters.
“We are a community of real estate entrepreneurs and real estate investors working together to accomplish two things: Accelerate the cash flow for members who do have experience and/or resources to participate in real estate cash flow projects, and to level the playing field for members who don’t yet have the experience and/or resources to participate in real estate cash flow projects on their own.”
Most importantly, Walls’ real estate investing group is centered around what he appropriately labels five core values:
- Vision: Purpose and mission aligned with goals and desires = clarity of intent. When both individual and organization have clarity of intent, passion and creativity become inevitable, Walls said.
- Collaboration: Working together intelligently, creates possibilities and amplifies our growth opportunities. This is what we do and irrefutably who we are,” Walls emphasized.
- Empowerment: “Without exception, we demand win-win results in all projects,” Walls said.
- Accountability: “Individually, we are determined to take action and be held accountable for specific winnable results,” Walls said and,
- Communication: “We cultivate an environment of open and honest expression inspires trust, and we believe it’s the most effective path to growth and innovation,” Walls said.
Interestingly, Walls acknowledged he often fields inquiries regarding wholesales, fix and flips, build and flips, not to mention buy and holds, commercials, and multi-family.
“My answers are ‘Yes,’” Walls says without hesitation. “I do all of the above, but I also do new developments, new construction, buy and create notes and even opportunity zones. Here’s what I will share with you. It’s one of my secrets and it won’t cost you a dime. That secret is my creative approach to real estate investing and is much different than what is taught in mainstream real estate investing education.”
In a nutshell, Walls stressed: “I sell high first, then I buy low. I know that might have confused some of your readers. I’m able to do that through collaborative investing. See, we can achieve a lot more and faster, working together than we could ever do working alone, which is what most investors do.’
Generally, these strategic and pertinent observations customarily are addressed during Walls’ weekly mastermind meetings every Thursday at 7 p.m. CDT along with what he deems “a couple of other secrets.”
A native of Missouri City — a suburban Houston establishment — Walls is a graduate of Willowridge High School. Consequently, he enrolled at nearby Prairie View A&M University and Howard University, tradition-rich historically black institutions (or HBCUs).
When asked how his competitive drive in life greatly propel him for his featured business venture, Walls said: “Well, I don’t know if it was a competitive drive, because I am competitive. I think it was more so my spirit of wanting to share my real estate investing knowledge and experiences with others so they can know that they too can win financially using real estate to build wealth.”
Walls’ professional expertise services mostly individuals and groups ranging in ages 25-to-65. Also, modern technology, he said, has proven to be a constant game-changer in his profession.
“Because of technology and my strategic partnerships — with realty teams, builders and rehabbers, title companies, mortgage companies etc. — our venture has taken me throughout the state of Texas and every state that touches Texas,” Walls said. “Because of that, I am getting offers to do projects in California, Illinois, Mississippi, New York and Florida.
“My personal mission for doing what I do is to provide real real estate opportunities for middle America — accountants, engineers, IT, middle management, nurses, pharmacists, lawyers, physicians, etc.,” Walls added. “Middle America is the financial backbone for this country, yet there are no real investment opportunities for them. I want to do my small part in providing a way as well as add value to this group. I know I can complete this personal mission with real estate.”
Walls routinely works alongside Eric Parish, his business partner whom he’s known him since the mid-90s and, according to this longtime Texas businessman, “I have learned most of what know about real estate and real estate investing because of him.”
Suitably known as “The Millennials,” Walls’ mastermind group is comprised of: Stephen Lewis and Lewis Legacy Properties LLC, Jason Williams, Greg Booker, Shaun Card, Cody Thomas, Mikial Onu, and its newest member, Jamal James.
“They inspire me because of their hunger for knowledge and wanting to secure not only their future, but those of the next six-to-10 generations,” Walls said.
MAKING DREAMS A REALITY
Armed with more than two decades of experience in his selected industry, Walls hosts the Real Estate of Mind podcast during which various real estate investing topics at REOMPodacast.com.
“We also do interviews with different guests and field questions from the listeners,” said Walls, who added:
“One of the challenges an investors face in investing alone is balancing project flow and resources to participate in those projects. In our real estate investing mastermind group, our members never have to worry about projects.
“We have enough projects for the next five-to-10 years,” Walls continued. “See, our mastermind is more than a place to network with other investors. We practice collaborative investing, so we crush the risk while making high returns and building a big real estate portfolio easier, safer and faster.”
