EMPOWERMENT GAME CHANGER

**OWNING THE MOMENT —** Rising Businesswoman Amanda Jagwandan has made as the face of Beyou Woman Empowerment, her Orlando, Florida-based featured endeavor that has become a fixture enabling women to boss up, become what Jagwandan appropriately describes as a “superwoman,” all the while loving the notion of being a young woman and seeing the importance and the value of her youth as well.

Every so often, Amanda Jagwandan is asked how she was christened with the nickname, “MOONMOON.”

“(The name was) given by my dad. I guess he knew my personality changes like the moon phases,” Jagwandan, 23, jokingly told Making Headline News this week. “You never know what to expect from me.”

In actuality, what you can expect from Jagwandan is the fact that she will customarily go to great lengths to become a better a version of herself, all the while steadfastly empowering others to follow suit.

VISION FOCUSED — “I have chosen to become someone in this world that will make a positive change to our society,” Jagwandan, who turns 24 March 12, said. “I know that through my coaching, with life skill experiences, I can make a change in the world. Once I reach my desired dream goals in life, I will spend my time giving back to my community and helping others reach their dream goals.”

**THE TASSEL WAS WORTH THE HASSLE —** “The biggest hurdle I had to overcome was moving all the time during my childhood years and not having a stable life,” Jagwandan, who was raised in Slatington Pennsylvania, said. “No matter how hard it was, I never stopped getting good grades and made sure to still try and finish college.”

“My life’s passion and purpose are to be of service to women who want to become empowered to alter the course of their lives,” Jagwandan told MHN. “I thought I would be able to motivate other women because, throughout my years growing up, I went through a lot of things and I felt that I could help other women, even young adult women who are now growing up. I (sensed I) would be able to relate to them because of what I went through in my life.”

In many cases, Jagwandan recalls, empowering like-minded women to buy into her vision was often jumpstarted by her declaring, “Listen, I went through the same thing.”

“And I think that every woman goes through so much, so many things, and sometimes they get to a point where they want to just give up on themselves,” said Jagwandan, explaining the purpose for Beyou Woman Empowerment. “So, they might go and do drugs, alcohol, partying, and have multiple sex partners, even trying to commit suicide because of their dysfunctional family life or being peer pressured into doing things that they don’t want to do. And I knew for myself that’s something that I never wanted to deal with: drugs, alcohol, and sex.”

MAKING DREAMS A REALITY

**GOING ABOVE AND AND BEYOND —** In actuality, what you can expect from Jagwandan is the fact that she will customarily go to great lengths to become a better a version of herself, all the while steadfastly empowering others to follow suit.

No matter what, Jagwandan emphasized, her primary focus while pressing and navigating towards her God-ordained destiny was to get an education.

“I would focus on my education,” Jagwandan — who holds an Associate’s Degree and is pursuing a Project Management certificate and I undergraduate degree — says without hesitation. “Nobody’s ever going to take away my education from me, no matter what, (regardless of) anything I went through in my life. And that’s how I came to want to empower other women just like myself. When growing up, I recognized later in life that those experiences were blocking me from what I really wanted to experience in life.”

**SOLID SUPPORT SYSTEM —** “My mentor CEO Lance London, a serial guru entrepreneur who is the
owner of a successful soul food restaurant chain called the Carolina
Kitchen in the DMV and Network Marketing of Nevetica Pet Health
Company who is also dedicated to helping others unlock their personal
potential and launch entrepreneurial business.”

**MORE ACCOLADES —** Jagwandan was featured on a billboard in Downtown Atlanta on Peachtree in February 2022. Also, in March, she will be featured on a billboard in Downtown Washington, DC, the DMV area, and Las Vegas for the Women Who Boss up Book Tour. Jagwandan will grace the cover of Scars Of Survival magazine, which releases March 8, a story that depicts her life changing story, from traumas to success. Jagwandan said she’s also working on her own mugs and T-shirts, which she will launch soon. “My father always use to say to me to rise above him but not expecting to see his daughter on a billboard. Now I tell him he has to rise above me with the billboard to reach the empire building,” Jagwandan jokingly said.

For Jagwandan, her rise to overseeing the day-to-day operations of a credible empowerment endeavor comes amid humble beginnings.

“I remember speaking to my uncle about all the struggles I went through in my young childhood life…also the abuse and how it affected me really badly.” Jagwandan explained. “I will never forget what he said to me. One of my family members told him if I went through so much and the abuse, I shouldn’t be getting good grades.”

As far as Jagwandan was concerned, that about which her family member suggested had essentially fueled her desire to adopt a new lease on life.

For the rest of her life, to put it more precisely.

“From that point, I realize a lot of children who go through traumas in their life led them to making bad decisions in their lives without continuing their education,” Jagwandan said. “I wanted to be an example to young adults that no matter what in life you go through, you don’t have to take that path. By teaching individuals and groups of women to develop a healthier and happier lifestyle, I am able to help others recognize and acknowledge past obstacles and barriers that are holding them back from living a more fulfilled meaningful life.”

Interestingly enough, Jagwandan has always sensed it was more beneficial to, for a lack of better words, think outside the box.

“Growing up, I always wanted to be unique in my own ways,” she explained. “I come from a business family background. Anything I wanted to do, I had to keep hearing from them. I followed their footsteps and that I was the only reason I wanted to do it.”

Not only that, even while battling through a serious illness in the wake of this global pandemic, Jagwandan was determined to never place her dreams by the wayside.

It was the most traumatic event that could happen in a young child’s life when you know home is supposed to be your safe haven and stability.”

All things considered, Jagwandan undoubtedly seems well on her way to making good on her personal, life-altering pledge.
