And the God of all grace, Who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10/NIV)
HER LOVING HERO

Every now and then, Rachelle Boyd-Huff deems it essential to issue that pivotal self-reminder.
Such a mental cue came back up once again Thursday evening.
“I am trying to make my dad proud,” Boyd-Huff said. He left a legacy of service in ministry and with youth. Such an amazing man.”
Boyd-Huff’s father passed away in March 2024 after what she describes as a “short but intense” battle with pancreatic cancer.
“He died three weeks and one day after diagnosis,” Boyd-Huff recalls. “I watched him start his transition on my birthday. Being a hospice nurse, I couldn’t turn off the clinical brain and just be a daughter because I know what each stage was. My father was my best friend. He saw things I never saw in myself.”
A little more than two years removed since her “best friend” descended to glory, this esteemed Texas grief coach has gone to great lengths to steadfastly pay homage to her father’s memory by way of When Grief and Faith Collide: Trusting God Even When Your Heart Feels Shattered, her featured authorship project that, much to her delight, has set off a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage ahead of Bishop T. D. Jakes’ Good Soil Forum in Dallas October 8-10, featuring special guest, Tyler Perry, Boyd-Huff, a Houston, Texas-based medical professional-turned-accomplished-author, vividly recalled how God had strategically infused within her the awe-inspiring vision to pen When Grief and Faith Collide: Trusting God Even When Your Heart Feels Shattered sometime in November 2025.
Vision exposed, mission accomplished for this incredibly-gifted writer who relishes the notion that she has been blessed mightily to honor the big-hearted man who has altered the overall landscape of her life, most notably through a book that comes amid humble beginnings.
“After walking through the loss of my father-in-law, my dad, and my childhood best friend, while also watching my husband be diagnosed with three types of cancer, I found myself in one of the hardest seasons of my life,” Boyd-Huff, an Indianapolis, Indiana native, told MHN. “I quickly realized that grief doesn’t come one loss at a time. It can pile up in ways you never expect. I wrote this book because I wanted others to know they are not alone, and that even when life feels overwhelming, God is still present in the middle of the pain.”
An intriguing, informative published masterpiece that is accompanied by 137 pages, Boyd-Huff’s When Grief and Faith Collide vividly enlightens her audience that some books are read while others are felt, according to a thorough synopsis via Amazon.com.
“When Grief and Faith Collide is one of those books,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Boyd-Huff’s featured book. “If you have ever cried in silence, questioned God in the dark, cared for someone you loved until your heart was exhausted, or wondered how to keep living after loss, these pages will meet you there. With raw honesty and deep compassion, Rachelle Boyd-Huff writes from the powerful lens of both hospice nurse and grieving daughter. She understands the sacred moments at the bedside, the ache after the last breath, and the struggle of holding on to faith when life feels shattered.”

In other words, Boyd-Huff’s When Grief and Faith Collide, by all accounts, is more than words on a page.
“It is comfort for broken hearts, strength for weary souls, and hope for anyone trying to find their way through grief,” said an Amazon spokesperson. “It reminds readers that grief and faith can exist in the same space, and even in pain, God is still near. You may pick up this book because of loss, but you will carry it with you because of the healing it offers.”
FAITH, FAMILY & FAVOR

For Boyd-Huff, it didn’t take very long — approximately three months to be technical — to compose a book that figures to help enrich and empower grieving families for years to come.
“The message God placed on my heart is that grief and faith can coexist,” Boyd-Huff explained. “Losing someone you love doesn’t mean you have to lose your faith. It simply means your heart has been deeply impacted and you must adjust to the new normal. Even in the middle of heartbreak, God is still present, still providing, still comforting, and still writing your story, even when you can’t see the next chapter.”
Boyd-Huff’s When Grief and Faith Collide is her fifth book to date.
She witnessed her authorship debut come full circle in April 2022 with the release of Caregiver Journal. Consequently, her sophomore written work, Finding Freedom in Relationships: 30-DAY COUPLES JOURNAL, made its ceremonious debut approximately one month later.
Then in January 2025, Boyd-Huff released her third book, this one entitled From the Eyes Of A Daddy’s Girl: 30 Day Interactive Grief Journal, then followed that up with the debut of The Missing Piece Journal: For Youth Walking Through Loss, which made its ceremonious debut approximately eight months later.
Additional book projects, Boyd-Huff said, are on the horizon.
“I’m planning on writing From the Eyes of A Daddy’s Girl: A Daughter’s Perspective On Loss, which tells my personal story and will serve as the companion book to my interactive grief journal,” Boyd-Huff said.

As for When Grief and Faith Collide, her newest book that seemingly has emerged as massive must-read, Boyd-Huff has garnered her share of favorable feedback as she prepares for the book’s official hardcopy release.
“Although the book is available online, I haven’t officially launched it yet,” said Boyd-Huff, adding that plans are in the works to launch the From The Eyes of a Daddy’s Girl podcast on August 1. “The people who have had the opportunity to preview it have shared that they felt encouraged, seen, and understood.
“Many have told me it feels like someone is walking beside them instead of talking at them, offering them both practical support and spiritual hope. My prayer is that every person who finishes and even touches this book walks away knowing they are seen, understood, and never have to walk through grief alone.”
Thank God for the pivotal reminder.
Once again.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
