SARAH JAKES ROBERTS’ ‘WOMAN EVOLVE’ ADVANCE NATIONAL COVERAGE: Florida faith-base writer Janet Harrison miraculously defies rash of odds, makes her ceremonious authorship debut in Spring 2023

Andre Johnson July 23, 2023

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned, but time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV)

AND IT CAME TO PASS

GOD’S PURPOSE PUSHER — As part of Making Headline News’ advance coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ inaugural Woman Evolve Conference September 14-16 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Florida author Janet Harrison emphasized, among other things, her featured book is centered in large part on the very trend that has changed the overall landscape of her life: perseverance. Harrison is the mastermind behind Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over, her awe-inspiring written work that became a much-anticipated reality in Spring 2023.

For Janet Harrison, the late 1990’s could be appropriately described as a series of defining moments, of sorts.

Perhaps she could explain it better.

“It all started by journaling some of my painful experience and my way of coping,” Harrison, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding the production of her featured book. “This was in the late 90’s.

Also, after going through some failure in nursing school, sickness and finally disability. In 2010, after my diagnosis of heart failure and the doctor told me that I could no longer work, I thought, ‘How would I occupy my time? This might very well be a book.’ Every now and then I would enter bits of information.”

Approximately a decade removed from her life-altering diagnosis, Harrison would ultimately possess the breakthrough she diligently thought.

“In 2020, I started writing more and attempted to reach out to a publisher,” Harrison recalls. “The cost was not affordable, so I put my book on the back burner.”

Still, despite periodic delays, Harrison was destined to keep her focus aligned with her God-mandated assignment, one that would ultimately come to fruition courtesy of Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over, her awe-inspiring written work that became a much-anticipated reality in Spring 2023.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ inaugural Woman Evolve Conference September 14-16 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Harrison emphasized, among other things, her featured book is centered in large part on the very trend that has changed the overall landscape of her life: perseverance.

LORD, GUIDE US

“After all I persevered throughout my life’s journey, I thought, ‘Why not share it to encourage someone else?’” Harrison told MHN. “(I’m determined to inspire other to) never to give up on themselves in spite of their current circumstances.”

Generally, Harrison’s Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over is widely regarded as a portrait of one woman’s true story, detailing her unwavering spirit of perseverance, known to be embedded in her by God, according to a detailed synopsis of this Apopka, Florida-based author’s book via Amazon.com.

“Janet Harrison can attest that life does indeed feature many challenges,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over. “Throughout a lifetime of struggles, her resilient faith in God would allow her to handle many of life’s hardcore situations. As you will come to find within these pages, there are a great many of them. With the staunch believe that God never gives us more than we can handle, Janet persevered.

“Often, she recites Philippians 4:13: ‘I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.’ Knowing that she cannot do anything without the help of her Maker, Jesus Christ, she carried with her great confidence that she would persevere through any and all of life’s trials and tribulations. Special emphasize on the word ‘all’ is very significant in that passage.”

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — “I would love to see various age groups reading my story and take away that ‘Yes,’” Harrison said. “They can do anything they desire in their lives, from college age to senior citizens. For college students, it is very important to never quit because a quitting never wins, and a winner never quits.”

In essence, Harrison vividly reminds her readers that, “No matter the circumstances, I have that confidence in my God to strengthen me through them. So, with each setback, I am so confident that those failures are never final. My God has the final say in my life.”

A book that is comprised of 178 pages, Harrison has become the beneficiary of an array of rave reviews — most notably via Amazon and Barnes & Noble — since making her authorship debut.

“I also got personal positive comments for a few other people,” Harrison said. “One minister told me that he was amazed of the various circumstances that I overcame and very inspired by my determination. Another person told me that, ‘Not me. I couldn’t do it. I don’t know how you survive.’”

Interestingly enough, Harrison, through her writings, eloquently unveiled what she deems the “passion” God put on her heart for drug-exposed babies, a discovery that subsequently empowered her to consider implementing a program to help in this crisis.

“When my health crisis presents itself, I realized this was never going to happen,” Harrison said. “I believe that God redirected my life with this book, from a nurse to an author. It’s my hope that when someone read Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over, they will realize that they, too, can overcome life’s problems, no matter what problems they face.”

A MASSIVE MUST READ — Approximately a decade removed from her life-altering diagnosis, Harrison would ultimately possess the breakthrough she diligently thought by way of her first book.

Now that her first book has hit the market, Harrison announced that her sophomore authorship is currently in the works, this one entitled, Born To Inspire Through The Lens of A Nurse, an anthology that is spearheaded by New Jersey Visionary Author Avalon S. Brown.

As for her featured written work, Harrison is hopeful — and prayerful — her book will help advance the kingdom and enrich lives for years to come.

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE

FOR STARTERS — “It all started by journaling some of my painful experience and my way of coping,” Harrison, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding the production of her featured book. “This was in the late 90’s.

“I would love to see various age groups reading my story and take away that ‘Yes,’” Harrison said. “They can do anything they desire in their lives, from college age to senior citizens. For college students, it is very important to never quit because a quitting never wins, and a winner never quits.

“No matter what, never give up on your heart’s desires. I call it your passions. It’s okay to take a detour and do something else, but it is crucial to accomplish what God puts on your heart.”

Amen, sister.

Amen.
