Interestingly enough, Dr. Hobson’s Leading While Bleeding has been nominated for The Author Award For Outstanding Literacy Work. The winner will be announced at The Author’s Award Ball Dinner in Washington, DC on March 23.

FAITH LEADER-TURNED ENTREPRENEUR

Having become a fixture in ministry for over 35 years — including 24 years of pastoring “God’s people” between Baltimore and Brockton, Massachusetts — Dr. Hobson ultimately founded The Reconstruction Church, which in 2018 merged with Prayer Love Tabernacle under Pastor Audrey Rhodes’s leadership.

After the leading of The Lord and due to water damage, we had no place of worship until we met Bishop John A. Bridges, Sr. of New Fellowship Christian Ministries, Brockton,” Dr. Hobson recalls. “After our first meeting and by the leading of the Lord, the Bishop and I decided to merge both churches to become one as a beacon light to the community we serve.”

(UFCCM) under the leadership of Presiding Prelate, Bishop Henry A. Tindal, Sr.

“Also, in 1.6 years, I took the vision of a business from nothing to a 1.6-million-dollar business, Southern Comfort Restaurant,” Dr. Hobson said.

Southern Comfort Restaurant was voted one of the Top 10 restaurants on the South Shore in 2023.

“Also, during the pandemic, the food ministry expanded and continues to feed those in need in our community,” Dr. Hobson said. “As an entrepreneur, author, father, and spiritual leader, I endeavor to continue to help the needy and bring them out of darkness into the light of Jesus Christ. Serving is what I do. It’s who I am.”
