She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16 ESV)
HOLDIN’ IT DOWN
KILLEEN, Texas — To her distinctly unique credit, Avriel DuVerney could be appropriately described as a woman of many hats.
Consider, for instance, DuVerney’s assortment of notable roles as a progressive, thriving entrepreneur.
By all accounts, this esteemed Texas-based businesswoman has enjoyed a considerable amount of success in recent years, most notably while assuming capacities as an accomplished real estate agent, real estate investor, short sale and foreclosure specialist, and general contractor.

Also, DuVerney serves as a licensed agent with Mammoth Realty, as well as a licensed general contractor in Texas.
As part of Making Headline News’ 2024 Essence Music Festival advance coverage leading to the “the party with a purpose” event July 5-7 in New Orleans, DuVerney emphasized, among other things, what she likes mostly about being a business owner is that she afforded the golden opportunity to routinely carve out her own schedule, all the while and helping others create financial freedom using what she suitably deems “the vehicle of real estate.”
“My personal mission is to show others it’s not impossible to start your journal in real estate,” DuVerney told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “With the right coach or mentor, you, too can become a successful investor.”
A native of Fort Mill, South Carolina — also known as Fort Mill Township, a rural York County establishment that rest in the suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina — DuVerney doesn’t shy away from the notion that it undoubtedly took a village to help empower — and point her in the right direction — to entrepreneurial success.
The ringleader, she credits: her beloved uncle, Jackie Steele.
“He inspired me,” DuVerney told MHN.

An assortment of business ventures that customarily services individuals and groups ranging in ages 30-and-up, DuVerney deemed it essential to delve in the ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship some seven years ago.
Much to her delight, she’s been nothing short of remarkable in the process.
A 1996 graduate of Fort Mill (South Carolina) High School, DuVerney would ultimately acquire an undergraduate degree in 2012.
Consequently, she earned her first Master’s Degree in March 2014, this one in Criminal Justice (with a concentration in Homeland Security).
She would follow up that milestone by earning an MBA in September 2015.
Interestingly enough, DuVerney’s entrepreneurial success has given way to her putting her immeasurable skills on display in a variety of U. S. markets, notably California, Chicago, Atlanta, and Texas, among others.
“I desire to inspire others daily because I knew what it felt like sitting on the sideline thinking I could never get started in real estate,” DuVerney told MHN. “My goal is to show them it’s possible if you just start. Most are fearful because of the unknown but I am here to show them it’s possible if they just take the first step. So daily I look to share my journey with those who are willing to sit and listen.
“I would like to add I am a real estate coach looking to help a 1000 people by the end of 2025 get started in real estate.”
Given the slew of success she’s enjoyed in recent years, she certainly seems well on her way to accomplishing such a feat.
