And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:29/KJV)
GOD-ORDERED STEPS
Because of whom is she and because of where God is taking her, Leah Clement was destined to put her baggage where it belongs.
Behind her.
“For over 27 years, I was unable to let go of this clutter and the writings, which kept me stuck and hindered my ability to move forward in my life and in my relationship with God,” said Clement, recalling the memorable developments surrounding her much-anticipated sophomore authorship adventure. “This year, however, God gave me a vision, instructing me to leave behind all the baggage and share my story.”
And it so it came to pass, Clement gracing the pages of the highly-anticipated release of The Runaway Bride of Christ: Overcoming Church Hurt, Dr. Sherley Lefevre’s latest published masterpiece that, by all accounts, has set off a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Second Annual Woman Evolve Conference that takes place September 26-28 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Clement recalled how back in January she had steadfastly embraced the notion of becoming a published.
“I had accumulated a lot of paperwork and diaries from the past, creating overwhelming clutter,” Clement said. “The most painful of these were the detailed accounts of the deep wounds I had suffered from the faith-based community.”

For Clement, the entire writing process was a massive leap of faith, something she didn’t merely take lightly.
“At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the significance of this, but now, as truth is being revealed, I’m slowly beginning to understand and heal from the deep wounds that the church had inflicted upon me,” Clement told MHN. “The single most underlying reason I chose to produce the book was the deep desire to share my story of healing from church hurt in order to help others who are struggling with similar pain. I wanted to create a space where individuals could feel understood and supported, and to demonstrate that healing is possible through faith and vulnerability. By sharing my journey, I hope to encourage others to confront their own wounds and find the restoration that God offers.”
Interestingly enough, Clement needed roughly a month to complete her selected chapter for The Runaway Bride of Christ: Overcoming Church Hurt, having begun producing in her submission in June and finishing sometime the ensuing month.
Clement’s second book comes after she made her authorship last year with the release of Mind Wellness Champions, an Amazon No. 1 Bestseller anthology that is spearheaded by Visionary Author Ashley Prima.
That collaborative book project was officially published on May 18, 2023.
Other books, Clement said, are currently in the works.
“My upcoming book will be a captivating autobiography, filled with vibrant and exhilarating stories that will leave you amazed and inspired — enough to make even a bald person grow hair,” Clement said. “After earning my Ph.D. from the University of Life’s Adversaries and Storytelling, my second book will focus on overcoming life’s adversities and finding strength through resilience.”
THUS SAID THE LORD
Since the release of her latest book project, Clement has welcomed an assortment of rave reviews.
“Through The Runaway Bride of Christ: Overcoming Church Hurt, I have garnered deeply impactful feedback,’ Clement said. “Many readers have expressed how the book resonates with their own experiences of church hurt, making them feel seen and understood. The transparency and vulnerability in sharing my journey have inspired others to begin their own healing process, with some expressing newfound hope and clarity on how to move forward in their faith.
“Others have shared how the book has helped them confront past wounds they had buried for years, allowing them to start the journey towards divine restoration. Overall, the feedback reflects how the book has been a source of healing, encouragement, and spiritual growth for those who have experienced similar struggles.”
