Moreover, Dr. Rodgers acknowledged the purpose of her book is to partner with her audience, particularly by journeying through singleness to the altar of God to be married supernaturally.
“To do so, you must be willing to submit through obedience to the Trinity, die to your flesh daily, pull down strongholds (negative thoughts and imagination) live Holy (be set apart and consecrated), have the willingness to put on the full armor of God to engage in spiritual warfare, and conquer ownership of your soul through prayer, mediation, and worship,” Dr. Rodgers writes. “Hear me with spiritual ears and listen with eyes of the Spirit. We serve a supernatural God, and when He does a thing for His daughters, like presenting her to a husband to be his wife, He goes big.
“So big that no man or woman can take credit for bringing the two together. With a supernatural marriage, it is clear to all that it is a miracle, a divine intervention by our Father in Heaven. The story becomes a testimony to the covenant made with Abraham. As Dr. Rodgers recalls, the vision for composing Altered To The Altar : A Journey Through Singleness To Marriage emerged when God began “stirring the vision” for this project during “my personal season of deep refinement” as a single woman.
“He began revealing the sacred process of transformation required to prepare for marriage,” Dr. Rodgers recalls. “The vision came through years of ministering to women and walking out my own faith journey of waiting, healing, and preparation.”
