A TRUE INSPIRATION

There are several reasons Bettina Rogers-Mallett has emerged as one of Texas’ finest philanthropists.
Amongst the biggest reasons is due in large part to Rogers-Mallett’s immeasurable work ethic which, much to her delight, is centered largely on steadfastly empowering youths to become better versions of themselves.
Such was the case last weekend during which Rogers-Mallett, the esteemed founder and director of the San Antonio Career Center Foundation, achieved arguably her grandest milestone to date, having graduated 40 students from a groundbreaking Summer Pilot Program.
LEADING BY EXAMPLE

A highly-anticipated ceremony that took place August 8, each graduate acquired a prestigious Triple Certification in Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, and Basic Life Support (BLS), Rogers-Mallett told Making Headline News this week.
“The Summer Pilot Program is simply a course provided by a school in the summer,” Rogers-Mallet said. “This is rhetorical first time my school facilitated a pilot program.”
Generally, Rogers-Mallett acknowledged, the Summer Pilot Program was established primarily as a strategic way to add educational opportunities to underserved individuals.
“We are partnered with SA Ready To Work to assist with funding for all eligible participants,” Rogers-Mallet told MHN. “The SARTW is amazing and together we have changed many lives.”

In her organization’s strategic partnership with SA Ready To Work, Rogers-Mallett emphasized such a transformative initiative is centered not just on training aspiring professionals.
“It is about changing lives, by opening doors to education, career opportunities, and sustainable job placements, the program delivers measurable, favorable outcomes that uplift entire communities,” Rogers-Mallett. “What truly sets this program apart is its unwavering commitment to underserved and at-risk individuals, meeting them where they are and empowering them to rise.”
Moreover, through her visionary leadership, Rogers-Mallett has become a fixture for educating, employing, and empowering the next generation, thus building what she describes as a “stronger, more resilient future for all.”
“The beautiful thing about this program is that we graduate individuals from 18-to-60 years old,” Rogers-Mallett said. “It’s never too late to thrive. The idea of seeing individuals of all ages, genders, and nationalities truly aligns with our vision.”
The Summer Pilot Program graduation ceremony comes days after SACC hosted consecutive Back To School Stuff The Backpack in two cities (DeSoto and San Antonio) August 1 and 9.
Roger-Mallet’s Back To School The Stuff Backpack is a poplar community-wide empowerment event that is centered largely on meeting the essential needs of youths as they prepare to head back to school for the 2025-26 academic year.
