To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory. (Isaiah 61:3/NLT)
SPEAKING IT INTO EXISTENCE

DALLAS — Because of the divine calling on her life, Dearice Spencer-Shackleford is fully persuaded that life — as she knows — isn’t merely centered on the assortment of obstacles that have surfaced to challenge and test her faith.
More than anything, she knows full well her life is predicated largely on whom she’s becoming.
“My drive (in life) did not come from competition with others. It came from a deep determination to overcome,” Spencer-Shackleford, 46, told Making Headline News this week. “Life presented me with significant challenges, including profound loss and seasons of adversity that could have silenced my purpose. Instead, those experiences ignited a relentless commitment to healing, growth, and service. I was determined not only to survive, but to transform my pain into purpose — and to help other women do the same.”
To her distinctly unique credit, Spencer-Shackleford has gone to great lengths to empower like-minded women from various walks of life to become better versions of themselves, courtesy of DeariceSpeaksLife LLC, her Texarkana, Texas-based featured business endeavor that comes amid her more-than 10 years of experience in the ever-evolving empowerment sector.

A native of Brooklyn, New York who currently resides in Northeast Texas, Spencer-Shackleford holds an Associate’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Texarkana College and has studied Organization and Leadership at Texas A&M University at Texarkana.
She currently holds certification as a certified master life coach with specialized training in spiritual transformation, trauma-informed healing, and holistic personal development.
For what it’s worth, she boasts a wealth of immeasurable experience in her professional line of work, supported by formal education in Behavioral Science, as well as advanced training in leadership and spiritual transformation.
“For several years, I have led DeariceSpeaksLife LLC, where I deliver evidence-informed, faith-centered coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements focused on healing, personal development, and leadership for women,” Spencer-Shackleford said.
Interestingly enough, Spencer-Shackleford doesn’t take lightly her solid gallery of supporters, many of whom steadfastly empowered her to diligently pursue her lofty goals and ambitions, particularly through an empowerment endeavor that has emerged as one of the finest of its kinds.
“I draw inspiration from many sources, but the most profound influence came from my grandmothers, both of whom were trailblazers in their own right,” Spencer-Shackleford said. “During a time when opportunities for women, particularly women of faith, were limited and leadership spaces were demanding and often unwelcoming, they led with strength, integrity, and unwavering resolve.
“From the late 1950s through the 1980s, my grandmothers served in leadership roles that required resilience, excellence, and courage. They balanced the responsibility of raising children, providing for their families, and navigating male-dominated and high-pressure environments, all while maintaining a steadfast faith in God. Their lives were a living testimony of what it means to lead with conviction, discipline, and moral clarity.”
NEW BOOK ALERT

Continued Spencer-Shackleford:
“What inspired me most was their refusal to waver in their faith or compromise their values, regardless of the challenges they faced. They modeled perseverance, dignity, and purpose long before those qualities were celebrated or supported for women in leadership. Their legacy laid the foundation for my own calling to lead, to serve, and to help other women rise with both faith and fortitude.”
Spencer-Shackleford said she will continue her variety of notable works, most notably speaking engagements, workshops, and virtual experiences throughout the year, during which she will focus primarily on leadership, healing, and personal transformation.
Also, she announced that plans are in the works to release her new book entitled, Healing The Abandoned Heart: A Woman’s Path To Wholeness.
This book reflects the “heart of my work in guiding women toward emotional restoration and wholeness,” Spencer-Shackleford explained.
WOMAN OF DESTINY

Much to her delight, the longtime Texas empowerment guru announced she is a contestant for Ms. Corporate America Texas.
“I am leveraging as a leadership platform to further advocate for faith-centered leadership, healing, and the empowerment of women,” Spencer-Shackleford told MHN, adding that “Healing is not a destination — it is a journey. My work exists to remind women that they are not broken, behind, or disqualified. With the right support, grace, and tools, wholeness is possible.”
