“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24)
GOD’S PURPOSE PUSHER
DALLAS — Clearly, there is a valid reason why the above passage is one by which Tiffany Lockett has adopted as her favorite.
Come to think of it, there are a variety of reasons why such a familiar Biblical verse is prevalent to her daily living.
Take, for instance, how some 17 years ago, when Lockett — who was married at the time — had bolted her native establishment of Tulsa, Oklahoma and relocated to Michigan and Indiana during which her estranged husband that they separate.
Consequently, she relocated to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
THE PSALM 3:3 FACTOR
Hampered by a slew of unfavorable circumstances that had ultimately given way to a broken marriage, Lockett, a mother of five, recalled the days during which she was left to do what a devoted woman of faith was taught — press and navigate and persevere through life’s greatest of adversities.
Consequently, the destruction of her marriage eventually gave way to her having to uproot in Texas and move back to nearby Tulsa.
Surely, while her faith appeared bleak and she seemed on shaky ground, it was the solid, unyielding support of her family that greatly fueled her desire to, you know, say whatsoever she desired.
And so it came to pass what apparently was a rather thorough, redefining chapter in the life of a preacher’s kid whom, to her credit, managed to put her tumultuous encounters where they belong.
Behind her.
FAITH & FOCUS
Today, unlike never before, what transpired a little more than a decade-and-a-half ago evidently has blossomed into a dramatic comeback for the ages for Donald, a Tulsa Central High School alum and rising author whom God has anointed to compose Provoked To Purpose, her debut book that’s designed to inspire and empower a downtrodden, oppressed people to never neglect the purpose for which God created them.
In essence, Lockett’s book, as she explained this week during an exclusive interview with Making Headline News, is a real-life story designed to reach the hurting, abused, neglected and the rejected men and women of our society.
“Many obstacles occur and are inevitable, but if one keeps pushing into purpose they will not terminate their destiny,” said Lockett, sounding as confident and assertive as she’s been in quite some time.
According to Lockett, God had given her the vision to write her book months after it was apparent that her marriage was headed for divorce.

Approximately 10 years later, she began composing her book, but not before arguably the grandest turning point occurred right before her very eyes.
Her son, Princeton Donald, a freshman at Oral Roberts University, was responsible for coming up with the title for the book — another chapter, of sorts, to a life of an up-and-coming author whom, because of the divine calling on her life, has been infused with the light of the Holy Spirit to share her story in such a way that it will draw others to Christ.
Besides, in case you forgot, this is a story about being provoked to purpose.
“I thought I was finished (writing the book) in September 2016, but the Lord saw fit for me to continue writing and adding more details to my story,” Lockett explained. “My divine message is to keep pushing through the obstacles of life until you meet purpose.”
A book that is comprised of eight chapters and is accompanied by a journal, a section for note-taking, a crossword puzzle, and overall rating scale, Provoked To Purpose is currently in the final publishing stages and is expected to be officially released in the coming months.
Fortunately for Lockett, the daughter of the late Bishop John Vincent, a renowned Tulsa-area pastor who died in May 2013, several individuals with whom she’s established close ties have inquired about her book, which is available for presale.
“Many are interested in the book, because they have observed some challenges in my life and they are interested in knowing the steps I took to overcome them,” said Lockett, adding that plans are underway to begin a sequel for her latest project and that her next manuscript is currently in the works.
A book in which she acquired the endorsements of her father, her mother, Pastor Barbara Vincent, and a host of family members and well-wishers, Lockett has already fielded three speaking engagements, and the possibility exists that she will be offered more.
Besides, in case you forgot, this is a story about being provoked to purpose.
“My message for every reader is to pursue purpose, so you won’t abort your destiny,” Lockett said. “Obstacles are inevitable and reaching your destiny is influential with purpose.”
This, after all, practically sums up why the above passage is prevalent to her daily living.
