Mid-South Pastor Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer’s banner year continues with the forthcoming release of his second book

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. (Psalm 119:71 KJV)

Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer is an accomplished Mid-South-area Pastor.

Add to his illustrious resume “extraordinary author” as well.

That’s because days after being named National TAP Author of the Year, Dr. Spencer announced the forthcoming release of his new book entitled, “Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary.”

An 80-Day Devotional Journal, Dr. Spencer’s “Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary” is his second published book and is scheduled to make its official release on December 15.

THE PSALM 119:71 FACTOR — Days after being named National TAP Author of the Year, Dr. Spencer announced the forthcoming release of his new book entitled, “Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary.”

A native of Chicago, who currently resides in Jonesboro, Arkansas — though he was raised in nearby Blytheville — Dr. Spencer’s “Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary” will debut a little more than 15 months after he made his authorship debut, courtesy of his initial written document entitled,  “Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.”

“I chose to write this book because I love to encourage others, and I felt I could give them these same quotes that challenged and encouraged me during some of life most challenging times,” Dr. Spencer told Making Headline News during an interview in mid-February.

As for his soon-to-be released book, Dr. Spencer doesn’t shy away from the notion that while this project will be accompanied by more encouragement, he also felt compelled to explain in detail why various forms of adversity — or turbulence, if you will — had to find its way to our lives.

DR. ALANDRUS P. SPENCER’S NEW BOOK COMING 12.15.18

“The single, most underlying reason I choose to release this book is because we need to recognize that we have the unique ability on the inside to encourage ourselves and others, just as David encouraged himself in the Lord,” Dr. Spencer, the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministries, Inc. in Blytheville, told MHN this week.

As Dr. Spencer specifically acknowledged, it didn’t take him very long to catch the vision to compose his second book. In fact, he said that God had strategically given him the assignment to assemble Book No. 2 immediately after he made his authorship debut.

“God gave me the vision to write this book immediately after I released the first book,” Dr. Spencer recalled. “He also explained to me that this book would be a part of a three-book series. My first book, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment was released in late 2017, so I will have one more to write in the sequel.”

STANDING OVATION — Dr. Spencer’s first book, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment, is a spiritually-driven written document that has been effectively anointed an award-winner.

How’s that for the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost).

“God has always given me a heart to encourage others,” said Dr. Spencer, explaining the purpose for his upcoming book. “In fact, it’s my call and purpose.”

Add to the fact that he’s greatly empowered to customarily encourage the hearts of God’s people from behind a sacred desk, and it’s no wonder that such a fruit of the spirit essentially has become a lifestyle, of sorts, for this seasoned clergyman.

“It’s hard for me to pass someone up that having a bad day,” Dr. Spencer said. “I always feel I have a word of encouragement to help them overcome.”

That, after all, practically sums up why second book makes all of the sense in the world, not to mention explains why weeks before its release, Dr. Spencer’s “Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary” is already attracting favorable feedback.

“The feedback has been tremendous and people have expressed the high demand for me to give them more,” Dr. Spencer said. “Some have said it is the daily dose of encouragement that gets them through their day.”

IN THAT ORDER — “God gave me the vision to write this book immediately after I released the first book,” Dr. Spencer recalled. “He also explained to me that this book would be a part of a three-book series. My first book, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment was released in late 2017, so I will have one more to write in the sequel.”

As for Dr. Spencer, his forthcoming book could very well be the prelude to emerging as another award-winning piece.

So stay tuned.

“I am planning to write the last book in this series, and I am writing alongside my beautiful wife a children’s book,” Dr. Spencer said.

Making plans to add to his illustrious resume that already includes “extraordinary author.”

Arkansas author Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer named National TAP Author of the Year

Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer isn’t just a Pastor, who often preaches to his congregation about enjoying the fruits of its labor.

Much to his delight, he’s steadfastly savoring his.

His latest installment of fruit came courtesy of a much-anticipated milestone, one by which he had diligently sought for the past six months.

A native of Chicago and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministry, Inc., Dr. Spencer was named National TAP Awards Author Of The Year during Saturday night’s second annual ceremony from Jonesboro, Arkansas.

ONE SHINING MOMENT — A native of Chicago and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministry, Inc., Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer was named National TAP Awards Author Of The Year during Saturday night’s second annual ceremony from Jonesboro, Arkansas. Pictured with Dr. Spencer is wife, Veronica.

Dr. Spencer’s latest honor comes a little more than a year after the release of his first book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment, a spiritually-driven written document that has been effectively anointed an award-winner.

An event that was established by Jonesboro-area public speaker and award-winning author Terrell Jenkins, the National TAP Awards are designed to acknowledge individuals in a variety of categories for their hard work and valiant contributions to the community.

Fellow author Tyneisha Collins of Osceola, Arkansas was named the National TAP Author Of The Year during last year’s inaugural ceremony.

An event that was established by Jonesboro-area public speaker and award-winning author Terrell Jenkins, the National TAP Awards are designed to acknowledge individuals in a variety of categories for their hard work and valiant contributions to the community.

For Dr. Spencer, he said being named National TAP Awards Author Of The Year is a testament of his overall body of work as a relatively newcomer to the authorship industry.

“The feeling was one of shock and a very humbling experience, because I knew I was listed in a category that had great authors who have written some very good books,” said Dr. Spencer, who learned of his nomination for the award back in mid-May.

A spiritually gut-checking and life-enhancing written document that is comprised of 90 pages, Dr. Spencer’s Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, approximately two years after God had revealed to him the vision to write it.

All things considered, his first book has since been nothing short of amazing.

“I leaped on the inside,” Dr. Spencer recalled the moment his name was announced that he was named TAP’s latest Author Of The Year. “Because somehow deep on the inside of me, I knew I stood a good chance. I put the work in alongside of my words, because that’s what faith does.”

Never mind the mixed reactions that had ultimately surfaced amid the release of Dr. Spencer’s book.

WINNER’S CIRCLE — Dr. Spencer’s latest honor comes a little more than a year after the release of his first book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment, a spiritually-driven written document that has been effectively anointed an award-winner.

At the end of the real day, this Christian-based preacher-turned-author knows full well there are all sorts of perks that come with serving and being spokesperson for Christ.

“Authors are different and unique and, while I had some to criticize my simplicity in my writing style, I knew that the world is in need of encouragement in its simple form,” Dr. Spencer said. “I love to encourage folks, and I think (because of this award), I am on the right track.”

Amongst those who have helped keep Dr. Spencer on the right track — both in the natural and spirit — is Veronica Spencer, his lifelong companion of 13-plus years.

AND THEN THERE WAS ONE — At the end of the real day, this Christian-based preacher-turned-author knows full well as that there are all sorts of perks that come with serving and being spokesperson for Christ.

“The special thing about my wife is she knows deep inside (my sentiments) before I say anything about how I arrived at that position,” said Dr. Spencer, whose second book (Encouraging Moment: The Turbulence Was Necessary) will be released in the coming weeks. “She is amazingly intelligent and blissfully beautiful and, while it may not be religiously correct to say this, I don’t care. She is my boo and babe.

“To all of my supporters and my manager (Latonya Sanders), I say thank you,” continued Dr. Spencer, who was raised in nearby Blytheville but resides in Jonesboro. “You all know I could not have pulled this off without you and this is simply a win for the team.”

Little Rock’s Andre’anna Hampton to celebrate her authorship’s one year anniversary on August 17

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS SALUTES ANDRE’ANNA HAMPTON’S AUTHORSHIP’S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Boy, does Andre’anna Hampton have some major goals and ambitions on the horizon.

So major that she has elected not to disclose them, even with the mainstream media.

“Honestly, I have great plans underway, although I really don’t want to disclose them in this interview,” Hampton, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said while chuckling, though she surely meant what she’s suggested. “What I will say is that God, my readers, and my new readers have played a great role in my career. With that being said, there are great things ahead the closing year (this year and into) 2019.”

WHO IS ANDRE’ANNA HAMPTON? https://andreannahampton.com/

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED — On August 17, Andre’anna Hampton will celebrate her one year anniversary as an accomplished author which, according to this Little Rock, Arkansas-based writer, is a monumental achievement for someone who is just a tender 26 years of age.

While Hampton feels it is in her best interest to remain tightlipped about her assortment of forthcoming opportunities, there is one notable milestone about which the general public will become enlightened — much sooner than later.

On August 17, Hampton will celebrate her one year anniversary as an accomplished author which, according to this Little Rock, Arkansas-based writer, is a monumental achievement for someone who is just a tender 26 years of age.

“My (authorship) anniversary will be very special to me, because it’s still very unbelievable that I’ve earned my title,” Hampton said. “Honestly it is. I’m not only a published author, but an international author.”

As Hampton vividly recalls, she envisioned years ago while in a local bookstore that her name would ultimately become embroidered on the front cover of a book.

Mission accomplished.

“I remember those days at Barnes & Noble and passionately wanting my name to be placed at the bottom of one of those books,” Hampton said. “It was all a passion and a dream for me.”

Much to her delight, her long-awaited dream has become a reality, courtesy of her very first book that’s entitled, “Every Woman Is Powerful” a compelling written document that is powered by J. Kenkade Publishing and was officially released on August 17, 2017.

As Hampton recalled, God had given her the awe-inspiring vision to write “Every Woman Is Powerful” sometime in February or March of last year.

What a difference one year has made for this remarkably brilliant author, a young gifted writer who has made continuous strides since her book’s much-anticipated release.

So much, in fact, that she can’t merely share those forthcoming major plans. At least, not right now.

“To me, the title means everything to me,” Hampton said of her book. “If it wasn’t for God, I wouldn’t be standing in this situation today. I thank Him every day for it all.”

A book that is comprised of 110 pages, Hampton’s “Every Woman Is Powerful” focuses on influencing women from all walks of life, most notably stay-at-home moms and wives, businesswomen “and so forth,” according to a detailed breakdown of her book at Amazon.com. The book is also available for purchase at Barnes And Noble online.

“This book encourages women to keep their love and faith in God while battling their everyday lives and finding a balance between family, ambitions, marriage, and finding a true friend in (this) author,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Hampton’s book. “While the author is sharing her actual life occurrences, she also encourages readers to be closer to God and she provides inspirational advice on how to stay the most powerful.”

As Hampton recalled, God had given her the awe-inspiring vision to write “Every Woman Is Powerful” sometime in February or March of last year.

Consequently, she needed just a few months to compose a book that is steadily having an immeasurable impact, especially amongst her fellow millennials.

WOMAN OF POWER — Much to her delight, Hampton’s long-awaited dream has become a reality, courtesy of her very first book that’s entitled, ““Every Woman Is Powerful” a compelling written document that is powered by J. Kenkade Publishing and was officially released on August 17, 2017.

“Honestly around (that) time (last year), I was battling several issues in my past and I was also battling some issues during that current time as well,” Hampton explained.

Still, despite the assortment of hurdles about which she had to clear, Hampton was determined not to allow her faith to waver.

If nothing else, she was determined to make her dream of witnessing her name be thrust on the front cover of a book a reality.

Mission accomplished.

“I believe that God has created this book just for me,” Hampton said. “The great belief I have is that God held this position of purpose for me to demonstrate strength, awareness, and self-love. During the time of the (book) release, I have inspired many, and not only by reminding others of the word. The fact of proving a testimony of my own, (readers have discovered) they’re not alone in their experiences or in life in general.”

A book that is comprised of 110 pages, Hampton’s “Every Woman Is Powerful” focuses on influencing women from all walks of life, most notably stay-at-home moms and wives, businesswomen “and so forth,” according to a detailed breakdown of her book at Amazon.com.

Looking ahead, Hampton said other books are surely forthcoming.

“There are definitely other writings in the works and that will be disclosed at a later time,” said.

But first thing’s first: It’s time to bask in the glory of having reached one full year as a professional author.

Which, after all, is a pretty amazing feat for someone who’s just a tender 26 years of age.

DEFYING THE URGE TO QUIT — Despite the assortment of hurdles about which she had to clear, Hampton was determined not to allow her faith to waver.  If nothing else, she was determined to make her dream of witnessing her name be thrust on the front cover of a book a reality.

“My audience thus far has given me great applause, because of this book (is filled with) words of encouragement,” Hampton said.

That, as a result, practically sums up why on August 17, this gifted writer is almost certain to be the beneficiary of a slew of words of encouragement.

Arkansas Pastor Alandrus P. Spencer honors his wife’s valiant support amid his nomination for National TAP Author Of The Year

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS MOTHER’S DAY 2018 SPECIAL REPORT

Who says a Pastor can’t have a boo thang?

Regardless, Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer would be the first to admit that he has one.

A really good one, too, mind you.

WIFE KNOWS BEST — Interestingly and much to Dr. Alandrus Spencer’s delight, it was  his wife, Veronica, who provided him with the much-needed push he needed to make his authorship debut, one that was culminated with the much-anticipated release of his book entitled, Encouraging Moment Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment. A book that has enjoyed sustained success since it officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, Dr. Spencer recently fielded yet another remarkable achievement amid his published masterpiece when he got word of having been nominated for Author Of The Year in the Second Annual National TAP Awards that will place in the coming months from Jonesboro, Arkansas.

“It would take me all day to talk about Veronica Spencer, the love of my life,” Spencer told Making Headline News this week. “Simply put, she has been my diamond, my rock, my boo thang.”

While Dr. Spencer could barely refrain from laughing out loud when referring to his companion of nearly 13 years as his “boo thang,” he acknowledged that it is due in large part to his wife’s unyielding love and tireless support that have contributed mightily to his faith walk with God, thus greatly enabled him to walk boldly in his divine purpose with God, his Helper, leading the way.

“Veronica brings a unique love to the table and has patiently been a solid mom in our blended family of two,” Dr. Spencer said while paying homage to his beloved wife as Mother’s Day 2018 looms.

Interestingly and much to his delight, it was Veronica who provided her husband with the much-needed push he needed to make his authorship debut, one that was culminated with the much-anticipated release of his book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.

A book that has enjoyed sustained success since it officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, Dr. Spencer recently fielded yet another remarkable achievement amid his published masterpiece when he got word of having been nominated for Author Of The Year in the Second Annual National TAP Awards that will place in November from Jonesboro, Arkansas.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY — “Veronica is who inspired and encouraged me to write Encouraging Moment, because she saw it in me long before people were saying it,” Dr. Spencer said. “She saw a person who would go to any length to encourage someone, even when I would face my own set of challenges.”

An event that was established by Jonesboro-area public speaker and award-winning author Terrell Jenkins, the National TAP Awards are designed to acknowledge individuals in a variety of categories for their hard work and valiant contributions to the community.

For Dr. Spencer, a native of Jonesboro and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministry, Inc., many of his peers sensed that his nomination for such a commendable award is a huge testament to his overall body of work, most notably as an accomplished minister, author, as well as an ambassador to his community.

“The special thing about this award is it helps to highlight the work the home team has put in,” Dr. Spencer said. “My team and covenant partners are the best and the support has been immeasurable, so most of all, I would like to win this award that is right in my home state and for the (home) team.”

MONUMENTAL MILESTONE AWAITS — For Dr. Spencer, a native of Jonesboro and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministry, INC, many of his peers sensed that his nomination for such a commendable award is a huge testament to his overall body of work, most notably as an accomplished minister, author, as well as an ambassador to his community.

All things considered, it was because of his wife’s unwavering support, Dr. Spencer is swift to point out, that has especially proven beneficial, particularly for such a time as now.

“Veronica is who inspired and encouraged me to write Encouraging Moment, because she saw it in me long before people were saying it,” Dr. Spencer said. “She saw a person who would go to any length to encourage someone, even when I would face my own set of challenges.”

All of which essentially explains why it is fair game for a Pastor to have a boo thang.

Let the church say Amen.

“Veronica is captivating because, she simply knows who she is and is confident in being herself,” said Dr. Spencer, around here laying it on thick while saluting his bride, as only he could. “Her smile simply lights up the room.”

Hush your mouth…and keep on talking, Reverend!

“Veronica and I work well in ministry together and, as we continue to grow in grace, we have learned this very important principle,” said Dr. Spencer, who couldn’t seem to run out of words while discussing his wife and alluding to the familiar passage that is housed in Matthew 18:19. “And that is the power of agreement. “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”

GODLY LOVE BIRDS — While Dr. Spencer couldn’t refrain from laughing out loud when referring to his companion of nearly 13 years as his “boo thang,” he acknowledged that it is due in large part to his wife’s unyielding love and tireless support that have contributed mightily his faith walk with God, thus greatly enabled him to walk boldly in his divine purpose with God, his Helper, leading the way.

Well, that’ll surely preach.

As for having been nominated for TAP Author of The Year, Dr. Spencer said he would be mostly appreciative of his longtime supporters if he emerges victorious, thus comes away with the crystal trophy.

“If I am named Author of the Year, it will certainly speak to several areas, but the very first is how the grace of God has allowed me to get to this moment,” Spencer said. “It would speak to the impact my wife has on my life through her prayer life, love for God, love for me and others. It would speak to the support I have from the home team, family, friends and covenant partners.

“I believe it would speak to people just like me that all things are possible to them that believe,” Dr. Spencer added. “Finally I would like to say thank to Terrell Jenkins and the TAP Award (family) for being a success and helping others to be a success story.”

Something to which his boo thang can greatly attest.

Let the church say Amen.

And then vote.

Arkansas author Alandrus P. Spencer to host much-anticipated book signing in Jonesboro as sales continue to soar

Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer’s got a lot going on in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

For all the right reasons, too.

For starters, Spencer has stiff ties to Jonesboro, considering it is his native establishment, a college town that is comprised of approximately 71,551, according to the latest U.S. census.

Not only that, Spencer and his wife, Veronica, are proud homeowners in Jonesboro, which is the fifth most populous city in the Natural State (the Jonesboro metropolitan is comprised of around 121,026 residents).

“We are in the process of establishing Touching Lives Ministry, INC (Jonesboro location),” Spencer, a longtime Pastor, told Making Headline News this week. “I really enjoy Jonesboro, because there are a lot of people that I have come in contact with that have prosperous mentalities.”

And, in the coming weeks, Spencer’s itinerary will include hosting a booking signing in Jonesboro to promote his inspiring book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.

“Book sales are growing and open doors are on the rise and, as evidenced, I have been blessed with five major book signings in the Big Apple of New York.”

The book signing will take place on May 5 from Noon to 3 pm CST at Christ Ambassadors Ministries International, located at 5114 East Nettleton Avenue.

A spiritually gut-checking and life-enhancing written document that is comprised of 90 pages, Dr. Spencer’s Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, approximately two years after God had revealed to him the vision to write it.

“People in Jonesboro love strong and support their very own, and I am happy to be a part of this awesome display of God’s love and encouragement,” Dr. Spencer said.

“I chose to write this book because I love to encourage others, and I felt I could give them these same quotes that challenged and encouraged me during some of life most challenging times,” Dr. Spencer told MHL during an interview in mid-February.

As for hosting the book signing in his native hometown, Dr. Spencer attributed his decision to the valiant support he customarily receives from residents of the city.

“People in Jonesboro love strong and support their very own, and I am happy to be a part of this awesome display of God’s love and encouragement,” Dr. Spencer said.

What’s even more intriguing is that sales of his new book sales are on the rise. Dr. Spencer said.

HOMECOMING FORTHCOMING — In the coming weeks, Dr. Alandrus Spencer’s itinerary will include hosting a booking signing in Jonesboro to promote his inspiring book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.

“Book sales are growing and open doors are on the rise and, as evidenced, I have been blessed with five major book signings in the Big Apple of New York.”

Surely, he couldn’t have enjoyed sustained success without a solid supporting cast.

“My team and I are working to do a few book signings in Jonesboro,” said Dr. Spencer, adding that his book can be purchased at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Xilbris. “But I keep books with me at all time, because I like to deliver them, to give that personal touch, to build fellowship  and possibly pray for those who may be in need. I live every day to encourage someone in a world that’s missing the importance of encouragement every day.”

Especially in good ole Jonesboro.

For all the right reasons, too.

Arkansas Evangelist Rhonda Hodges on her inaugural empowerment conference: ‘There was standing room only’

For Rhonda Hodges, those slew of electronic messages, accompanied by some rather harm-warming words of encouragement came in at an increasingly rapid trend.

KINGDOM TREND SETTER — Evangelist Rhonda Hodges’ Denim And Pearls And Empowered Girls Conference that took place on March 9 at Touching Lives Ministries in Blytheville, Arkansas drew a standing-room-only crowd and was a success, she told Making Headline News this week. (Photo Credits: BLAIR)

“I have received numerous calls, text, inboxes, and emails from women who attended the conference as well as those who watched from live video, stating that they have a whole new mindset in how they see themselves,” Hodges, during an interview with Making Headline News this week, said while recalling the events of an event she hosted and figures to host for years to come.

The event to which Hodges is alluding of her inaugural Denim And Pearls And Empowered Girls Conference that took place on March 9 at Touching Lives Ministries in Blytheville, Arkansas.

A one-night conference that was powered by Rhonda Hodges Ministries, Hodges was also featured psalmist during an event that amassed a standing-room-only crowd and left a majority of the attendees in awe by the time the benediction had been given.

“I was there, and it was beyond amazing,” said Osceola (Arkansas) High School instructor and accomplished author Tyneisha Renai Collins. “Beautiful atmosphere from beginning to end!”

A one-night conference that was powered by Rhonda Hodges Ministries, Hodges was also featured psalmist during an event that amassed a standing-room-only crowd and left a majority of the attendees in awe by the time the benediction had been given.

Generally, such an assessment was echoed time and again hours, even days after Hodges’ inaugural event.

A Joiner, Arkansas native who accepted her calling into the ministry in April 2000, Hodges was officially ordained as a licensed minister under the leadership of Pastor Theodis Rucker.

To her credit, coupled with the fact that God has strategically set her aside for His use, her kingdom-based contributions have been nothing short of amazing since she sold out completely as a spokesperson for the Body of Christ.

Need more proof?

Look no further than what unfolded last week in Year No. 1 of her conference.

CAMPAIGNING FOR JESUS CHRIST — A Joiner, Arkansas native who accepted her calling into the ministry in April 2007, Hodges was officially ordained as a licensed minister under the leadership of Pastor Theodis Rucker.

“There was standing room only with over 125 women registered and (we sold) 230 I Am An Empowered Woman T-shirts,” Hodges a longtime Arkansas registered nurse, said. “This may sound small, but for an area where poverty is evident, it seldom happens. Not to mention, I don’t have my own church and neither am I a Pastor. Bur for outreach ministry, I was very satisfied with the turnout.”

As were the overflow crowd that showed up with a lofty expectation that Christ would be lifted up mightily for a time such at that one-day conference.

An event that was dedicated to women and girls of all ages, Hodges’ conference was centered largely on empowering them to understand their value as women as well as inspire them to focus on the importance of not throwing “your pearls to the swine,” as Hodges appropriately summed up.

“In other words, when they understand who they are and whose they are, then they are not so quick to settle for anything or anyone less than what God has instructed,” Hodges explained. “We are created with purpose, and I want women girls to know they must love themselves first.”

More than anything, Hodges emphasized, there’s this thing called respect, and she wasn’t merely referring to the classic song by iconic pop singer Aretha Franklin.

An event that was dedicated to women and girls of all ages, Hodges conference was centered largely on empowering them to understand their value as women as well as inspire them to focus on the importance of not throwing “your pearls to the swine,” as Hodges appropriately summed up.

“Respecting themselves and the call of God upon their lives are of extreme importance to me,” Hodges said. “It is my heart’s desire to empower them to walk in obedience for such a time as this and creating a movement that is contagious all across the land which, in turn, overpowers mind, body and soul.”

Because of the overwhelming response to her inaugural conference, Hodges has announced that plans are effectively underway for Year No. 2 of her Christian-based, kingdom-advancing event.

Given the outpour of support and positive feedback following last week’s conference, hosting it in 2019 practically was a foregone conclusion.

Let the church say Amen.

STAY TUNED — Because of the overwhelming response to her inaugural conference, Hodges has announced that plans are effectively underway for Year No. 2 of her Christian-based, kingdom-advancing event which.

“I plan to host this event again next year as I felt it was one of the best conferences I have ever sponsored,” Hodges said. “I will definitely look for a venue with more space. I hope to have a luncheon if finances allow. I would love to add more vendors to allow women to see the services that are offered in our county and, possibly some type of follow-up training or an open forum 30-to-60 days afterward as a follow-up to help these women and young girls to reach their potential.

“Many women stated how beautiful I made them feel, and that my passion for the young girls and women made them want to live, because they felt ugly and just wanted to die,” Hodges added. “Another lady sent an inbox stating, ‘Rhonda, you are a powerhouse, and I am so proud to know you.’”

For what it’s worth, those who turned out for the empowerment conference practically encouraged the mastermind behind the event.

“(The lady who sent the email) encouraged me to stay focused and went on to say how I was an inspiration to many,” Hodges said. “Another woman stated, ‘I love your realness and how you’re not ashamed to share your story and that you give your heart to those who you encounter.’”

Let the church say Amen.

Once again.

Accomplished Mid-South businessman Oginga Carr: ‘It is my destiny to help 10,000 people achieve their dreams’

Earlier this week, Oginga Carr was asked why it is imperative that he esteem and inspire others daily.

To his credit, Carr fielded the question as if he expected it.

MAKING MAJOR STRIDES — Much to his delight, Oginga Carr has evolved as an efficient and resourceful businessman, most notably through Epiphany Consulting LLC, a Mid-South-area company that is widely regarded as an organizational structure venture that customarily helps with coaching and consulting for businesses and individuals so that they could appropriately find compliance and clarity.

“Without inspiration, there is no life,” Carr said during an interview with Making Headline News this week. “We need to be not only inspired, but edified.  When we edify one another we grow.  I really don’t care about your what or your why. I care about your how.  We help people find their how.”

Indeed he does.

Carr, in fact, has evolved mightily as an efficient and resourceful businessman, most notably through Epiphany Consulting LLC, a Mid-South-area company that is widely regarded as an organizational structure venture that customarily helps with coaching and consulting for businesses and individuals so that they could appropriately find compliance and clarity.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas who has been dubbed “One of America’s Top Trainers,” according to various media pundits in a detailed description of Carr’s venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com/, Carr doesn’t shy away from the notion that Epiphany Consulting is unique, in large part because human resources is something we all need.

“Our unique proposition is that we offer you help at developing structure in your organization and your life,” said Carr, whose immense entrepreneurship track record spans a little more than a decade. “Many times business owners are great at a skill, but aren’t very good at the business.”

NATIONAL PRESENCE — A native of Little Rock, Arkansas who has been dubbed “One of America’s Top Trainers,” according to various media pundits in a detailed description of Carr’s venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com/, Carr doesn’t shy away from the notion that Epiphany Consulting is unique, in large part because human resources is something we all need.

For what it’s worth, this is where Carr’s progressively effective business comes into play.

A proud of alum of Little Rock Parkview High School — where the former multi-sport athlete lettered in football, basketball, and baseball — Carr also is an accomplished author, a national seminar leader, as well as an organizational structure expert and consultant.

Interestingly, this Henderson State University graduate is armed with roughly 17 years of experience in sales, management, and Human Resources.

“His passion is in the dynamic of change…dealing with it, working through it, and preparing for it,” said a spokesperson in a detailed description of Carr and his venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com.

Not only that, Carr’s professional resume is solid and diverse, considering he has worked in the telecommunications, flooring, and print industries. For those reasons, he has been appropriately labeled a “serial entrepreneur,” of sorts.

Carr’s primary focuses are geared largely on productivity through structure and human capital development, and he has trained tens of thousands of HR professionals in approximately 49 U. S. states.

Which, much to his delight, is mostly befitting, considering Carr has even had a hand in functioning as a magazine publisher, radio and television show host, not to mention having assumed the role as executive director of a non-profit foundation, among other capacities.

Moreover, Carr’s primary focuses are geared largely on productivity through structure and human capital development, and he has trained tens of thousands of HR professionals in approximately 49 U. S. states.

“My mission is to develop more clarity, content, and consistency in our lives,” Carr said. “If we are clear about our goals, then content of those goals are achievable and we can be consistent in our actions. We can be successful in our lives.”

REMARKABLE TRACK RECORD — Carr’s professional resume is especially diverse, considering he has worked in the telecommunications, flooring, and print industries. For those reasons, he has been appropriately labeled a “serial entrepreneur,” of sorts.

Carr credits the bulk of his success as a thriving businessman to his father, whom he said was undoubtedly one of the biggest inspirations in his life.

Though Carr’s father passed away in 2007, he acknowledged that “he lives with me every day in my actions. He believed that we are a family related by affinity, if not through consanguinity.”

“That means that people who are striving to achieve goals in life are related by their love and passion to improve, even if they are not related by blood,” Carr added. “I welcome all Dream Achievers to my family.”

There is, by all accounts, a valid reason for which Carr essentially has rolled out the figurative red carpet to those who aspire to connect with him.

LISTEN TO HIM — “Our unique proposition is that we offer you help at developing structure in your organization and your life,” said Carr, whose immense entrepreneurship track record spans a little more than a decade. “Many times business owners are great at a skill, but aren’t very good at the business.”

“We live by a hashtag, #teamcrushingit,” Carr said. “That means that we are crushing those obstacles that are in front of us.  We are getting to our goals faster than we thought we could.  We are crushing life.”

In the foreseeable future, Mid-Southerners — Memphians in particular — will be afforded the golden opportunity to learn more about Carr and Epiphany Consulting in a trio of informative events:

  • I Dream I Achieve: The Business Blueprint.  This event is geared toward developing the mindset and the business structure to succeed in business.  “It is the best business development conference in the Mid-South,” Carr said. “We develop events that are all about giving you the skills that you need to be great.”
  • DAD KNEW BEST — Though Carr’s father passed away in 2007, he acknowledged that “he lives with me every day in my actions. He believed that we are a family related by affinity, if not through consanguinity.”

The Breakthrough Accelerator Bootcamp. “This event is all about accelerating those breakthroughs in your life,” Carr said. “In that event, we celebrated the rebirth of your dreams. How can we cultivate those dreams and be ready to be great?”

  • The Limitless Summit.  “This event is all about creating a limitless life and limitless business,” Carr explained. “What are the keys to living limitless?  We develop those there.”

Also, Carr announced that two new events are presently in the works: Limitless Summit in Fort Worth, Texas and the IDIA Mastermind Retreat in Mexico, where attendees will engage in a five-day experience, during which they will, as Carr said, make those quantum leaps in our lives.

“It is my destiny to help 10,000 people achieve their dreams in 2018,” Carr said. “We are helping people achieve those dreams through products, events, coaching, and consulting, and we are so happy about the outcomes.”

Accomplished Arkansas Minister Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer ‘Touching Lives’ through his book blanketed by encouragement

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV)

Upon crossing paths with Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer, it wouldn’t take very long for anyone to discover that he’s armed with encouragement.

A whole lot of it, for the record.

HANDPICKED BY GOD — A proud Navy veteran and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministries, Inc. in nearby Blytheville, Arkansas, Dr. Alandrus P. Spencer is the mastermind behind the book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.

Consider, for instance, how Dr. Spencer, an accomplished Jonesboro, Arkansas-area minister, wasted little time taking to his Facebook page Saturday morning, during which he staged a brief post to — you guessed it — encourage the masses.

Said Dr. Spencer just before 10 a.m. CST in a thought-provoking catchphrase once uttered by Texas Empowerment Strategist Franco Charles: “What you fail to announce will be ignored.”

Out of fairness to Dr. Spencer, there is, by all accounts, a rather favorable reason why he deems it essential to encourage people mightily as often as he could.

For starters, he answered the divine call long ago when he became a spokesperson for Christ.

Secondly, he’s grasped a thorough concept of what it means to build up his spirit man, regardless of how challenging or bleak circumstances become in his life.

Thirdly and most importantly, he routinely encourages others because, well, God practically commands us to.

And so it came to pass that Dr. Spencer acted out of obedience unto God by composing an awe-inspiring book that — you guessed it again — figures to encourage people from various walks of life.

A proud Navy veteran and the Senior Pastor of Touching Lives Ministries, Inc. in nearby Blytheville, Arkansas, Spencer is the mastermind behind the book entitled, Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment.

A spiritually gut-checking and life-enhancing written document that is comprised of 90 pages, Dr. Spencer’s Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, approximately two years after God had revealed to him the vision to write it.

Much to his delight, Dr. Spencer didn’t just write down the vision. He took it and ran with it.

Not only that, it is a foregone conclusion why he produced the book to begin with.

“I chose to write this book because I love to encourage others, and I felt I could give them these same quotes that challenged and encouraged me during some of life most challenging times,” Dr. Spencer said.

Interestingly, he appropriately used the familiar Biblical passage that is 1 Samuel 30:6 as the feature scripture from which his book was birthed.

“David encouraged himself,” Dr. Spencer said without hesitation.

Speaking of hesitation, given the passion with which Dr. Spencer speaks when promoting his book, it’s safe to assume that Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment was assembled without hesitation.

“The divine message is that God wants us to experience a healthy dose of encouragement whenever and wherever possible, and that we have the built-in capacity to encourage ourselves,” said Dr. Spencer, explaining the purpose for his new book.

As expected, the feedback since the release of Dr. Spencer’s book has been favorable.

Touching Lives Ministries Co-Pastor and First Lady Veronica L. Spencer

“The feedback has been tremendous,” Dr. Spencer said. “People mostly appreciate it. It’s not a wordy book. It’s simple but impactful and it challenges their faith while encouraging them to strive for better.”

All things considered, as it pertains to composing his book, exemplifying a sense of passion was extremely key, Dr. Spencer emphasized.

“God created me with the gift to have passion for and to encourage others,” he said. “And this book is a direct display of my heart toward people.”

A spiritually gut-checking and life-enhancing written document that is comprised of 90 pages, Dr. Spencer’s Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment officially hit the market on September 20, 2017, approximately two years after God had revealed to him the vision to write it.

While Encouraging Moment: Live Life By An Encouraging Moment is an ideal read for people who are lost spiritually and desire to return to Christ, Dr. Spencer acknowledged his book is especially prevalent for the modern-day church, where the spirit of discouragement has rid its ugly head unlike never before.

“The world as we know it is lacking strongly in the area of encouragement and, yes, even in the church,” Dr. Spencer said. “I believe if we can start to embrace and harness the energy of encouragement, we can make the world a better and a more promising place.”

After all, he’d be the first to tell you that, “What you fail to announce will be ignored.”

Surely, that goes for encouragement.

A whole lot of it, for the record.

Arkansas award-winning author Tyneisha Collins named 2017 Making Headline News Woman Of The Year

All this week, Tyneisha Collins found herself crying and asking, “Why me?”

SHE EARNED IT — A Mid-South-area educator who is widely known as an award-winning author, Tyneisha Collins was unanimously named Making Headline News 2017 Woman of The Year, adding yet another accolade to what undoubtedly has been a banner year for the 28-year-old native of the Bronx, New York.

All things considered, the more appropriate inquiry, quite frankly, should be, “Why not me?”

“I’ve got to stop crying so I can get to work, but it’s hard not to cry because it’s been such a rough year and I am so grateful for this,” Collins said.

That to which Collins is alluding is her latest milestone, one that essentially caught her off guard for all the right reasons.

A Mid-South-area educator who is widely known as an award-winning author, Collins was unanimously named Making Headline News 2017 Woman of The Year, adding yet another accolade to what undoubtedly has been a banner year for the 28-year-old native of the Bronx, New York.

YEAR IN REVIEW — “If I could sum up this year, “I’d some it up with this scripture: Proverbs 3:5,” Collins, an Osceola (Arkansas) High instructor, told Making Headline News this week.

“If I could sum up this year, “I’d some it up with this scripture: Proverbs 3:5,” Collins, an Osceola (Arkansas) High instructor, told Making Headline News this week.

Consequently, she wasted little time going into full devotional mode.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding,” Collins said.

For what it’s worth, it was in large part because of her relentless, resilient, bend-but-don’t-break faith that Collins — the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring book, I AM QUEEN — is thoroughly convinced that God had strategically provided for her a way of escape this year.

Time and time again.

Today, unlike never before, it is because Collins deemed it essential to stand toe-to-toe with her fears that she can boldly profess that she’s destined to possess and savor a carefree, fearless life — in 2018 and beyond.

How else to explain the array of success she has enjoyed in 2017 despite — though she didn’t say this on the record — what has been a roller coaster year, of sorts.

“I developed a closer relationship with God and learned my true worth,” said Collins, appropriately breaking down her year as only she could.

That’s not all that transpired this year for Collins, whose March 2017 released book — by way of Little Rock, Arkansas-based JKenkade Publishing Company — depicts her array of life’s struggles, most notably those during which she recalled having been constantly shunned and abandoned by her mother as a little girl without any knowledge of the identity of her father.

A compelling, informative 194-page written document that was officially released in March of this year, “I AM QUEEN” is a provocative, attention-grabbing story that depicts Collins’ array of life’s struggles, most notably those in which she recalled having been constantly shunned and abandoned by her mother as a little girl without any knowledge of the identity of her father.

Aside from having “found the strength and courage” to compose her first book, Collins assembled a website that bears the name of her remarkably compelling written document.

Having had a continuous influential impact on countless lives young girls and women throughout the country through her book, Collins started what she describes as the I AM QUEEN Movement, which is comprised of her offering I AM QUEEN T-shirts and other products.

As if that wasn’t enough to turn heads, Collins was recently named Author of The Year during the recent inaugural TAP Awards that were held at Arkansas State University, her college alma mater.

Having had a continuous influential impact on countless lives young girls and women throughout the country through her book, Collins started what she describes as the I AM QUEEN Movement, which is comprised of her offering I AM QUEEN T-shirts and other products.

“This year will go down as the most memorable year for me, because I never really realized the true meaning of success or felt successful until this year,” Collins said. “This year has taught me that success is simply doing what God instructed you to do regardless of the cost or consequences. God had giving me an assignment to write my book a long time ago, but my own fears kept me from doing so.”

Today, unlike never before, it is because Collins deemed it essential to stand toe-to-toe with her fears that she can boldly profess that she’s destined to possess and savor a carefree, fearless life — in 2018 and beyond.

GOD’S CHOSEN ONE — For what it’s worth, it was in large part because of her relentless, resilient, bend-but-don’t-break faith that Collins — the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring book, I AM QUEEN — is thoroughly convinced that God had strategically provided for her a way of escape this year. Time and time again.

“When I finally decided to stop running from my assignment — my calling — and walked in obedience, God blew my mind in the most unimaginable ways, and I feel so rich in God’s love, which is something money can’t buy,” Collins said. “Obedience in my eyes is the ultimate key to success.”

All of which practically explains why the appropriate inquiry should be not “Why me?”

Rather, it should be, “Why not me?”

‘Credibility and character’ ultimately led to Arkansas educator Tyneisha Collins being named TAP Awards Author of The Year

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

DALLAS — Say this about Tyneisha Renai Collins: Her labor is not in vain in the Lord.

For starters, despite having weathered arguably the greatest of obstacles in that she grew up being victimized time and again by rejection, Collins steadfastly held fast the profession of her faith without wavering.

SUPER BOWL CHAMPION OF AUTHORS — An Osceola, Arkansas-area educator, Tyneisha Collins, 28, was named Author of The Year during last week’s inaugural TAP Awards that was held at her college alma mater, Arkansas State University.

Given the immense and immeasurable strides she’s made over the year — particularly since she relocated to the South from her native establishment that is the Bronx, New York — it’s safe to assume that for Collins, the sustained success she’s acquired was well worth the hassle.

“Yes, it was definitely worth the hassle, because it humbled me and made me really appreciate the amazing blessings that I already had prior to this experience, because they were the very things that placed me in this position, Collins told Making Headline News this week.”

The “experience” to which Collins is alluding is her latest achievement, one that is indicative of her resourceful body of work, particularly in the ever-so-competitive authorship industry.

An Osceola, Arkansas-area educator, Collins, 28, was named Author of The Year during last week’s inaugural TAP Awards that was held at her college alma mater, Arkansas State University.

CREAM OF THE CROP — Collins was amongst 700 nominees selected for Author Of The Year, in large part because her family, friends, and peers sensed she is worthy of such a notable honor.

An event that was organized by Jonesboro-area public speaker and award-winning author Terrell Jenkins, the TAP Awards acknowledged individuals in a variety of categories for their hard work and valiant contributions to the community.

Collins was amongst 700 nominees selected for Author Of The Year, in large part because her family, friends, and peers sensed she is worthy of such a notable honor.

After the votes were cast and finally compiled amongst the three candidates for Author of The Year, Collins had ultimately emerged victorious after having amassed the most votes.

Collins’ latest milestone comes approximately eight months after the release of her book, “I AM QUEEN,” a provocative, attention-grabbing story that depicts her array of life’s struggles, most notably those in which she recalled having been constantly shunned and abandoned by her mother as a little girl without any knowledge of the identity of her father.

“This award means everything to me, because I went through so much and this is evidence that all my hard work is not in vain,” said Collins, explaining her initial reaction upon being named Author of The Year. “Writing a book about your life is not an easy task.”

As Collins explained, neither was the process that eventually put her in the discussion for seizing such a commendable honor.

An event that was organized by Jonesboro-area public speaker and award-winning author Terrell Jenkins, the TAP Awards acknowledged individuals in a variety of categories for their hard work and valiant contributions to the community.

“The process began when the founder of the TAP awards announced the categories via social media,” Collins explained. “He asked his Facebook friends to nominate people that were well-deserving in each category. The top people in each category would earn nominee spots. Seven-hundred people were nominated in over 20 categories. Next, all the nominees went on a month-long campaign, convincing our peers, family, and friends to vote for us. Voting lasted about a month and 14,000 votes were placed. It was a very humbling process for me.”

It is, in fact, a process by which Collins didn’t merely take lightly, considering she was up against two crafty and resourceful authors in a campaign that seemed to be a nail-biter until the voting phase had ended.

SIGN OF THINGS TO COME — All things considered, her quest for named being named Author of The Year essentially started last year some time when Collins announced “to the world” that she would write a book that depict her assortment of struggles and obstacles. Next up, she said: Book No. 2 is expected to be released in early 2019, just in time for her 30th birthday.

“I truly believe that the reasons why I won are No. 1, because of my willingness to live for God, my drive, the raw and transparent content of my book, and the way I carry myself on a daily basis,” Collins said.

All things considered, her quest for being named Author of The Year essentially started last year some time when Collins announced “to the world” that she would write a book that depicts her assortment of struggles and obstacles.

LONELY AT THE TOP — Given the immense and immeasurable strides she’s made over the year — particularly since she relocated to the South from her native establishment that is the Bronx, New York — it’s safe to assume that for Collins, that sustained success she’s acquired was well worth the hassle.

Next up, she said: Book No. 2 is expected to be released in early 2019, just in time for her 30th birthday.

“I’ve been soaring ever since,” Collins said. “The fact that I had a dream and actually executed it and then accomplished it, help me earn a lot of respect and admiration from my peers and the people in my community.

“Also, I will continue to make sure Queens have access to my I AM QUEEN products.”

Oh…and she admittedly would be remiss if she didn’t offer this vital suggestion.

“Credibility and character can take you a long way,” Collins said.

Spoken like a true champ.
