Flint, Michigan’s Precious Brown walking fervently in her purpose with her ninth published book

During what obviously was an informative and empowering assembly, Precious S. Brown thought it necessary to take it a step further.

“I was given the idea after completing a Tele-Summit titled, ‘IRise Women’s Empowerment Summit,'” Brown told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “On the Summit, we had 17 amazing speakers that helped the audience with life obstacles in the areas of abuse, health, healing, happiness, the inner critic, and so much more.”

EMPOWERMENT EXTRAORDINAIRE — To her credit, Flint, Michigan businesswoman Precious S. Brown would ultimately spearhead what has turned out to be an awe-inspiring collaborative project, one that came wrapped up in a life-enhancing book entitled, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises,” a book that is forwarded by this accomplished Flint, Michigan-based author and empowerment extraordinaire, who is also the founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing.

To her credit, Brown would ultimately spearhead what has turned out to be an awe-inspiring collaborative project, one that came wrapped up in a life-enhancing book entitled, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises,” a book that is forwarded by this accomplished Flint, Michigan-based author and empowerment extraordinaire, who is also the founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing.

An empowering, kingdom-advancing written document that is comprised of a gallery of accomplished writers, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises” is scheduled to be officially released in December.

CREATING AN EARLY BUZZ — Brown and Co. have already become the beneficiaries of some favorable feedback — this for a book that is still weeks away from its much-anticipated release.

A native Mount Morris, Michigan, Brown, 45, has surely paid her dues in this ever-so-competitive professional writing industry, considering she is responsible for having authored what is now nine books, five of which she has written single handily.

As for her latest book, she wasted little time gathering the troops and began collaborating with them to collectively assemble “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

“I begin writing immediately after the summit,” Brown explained. “I reached out to the co-authors for the extended versions of their stories to compile them for the book.”

PUTTING IN SOME WORK — A native Mount Morris, Michigan, Brown, 45, has surely paid her dues in this ever-so-competitive professional writing industry, considering she is responsible for having authored what is now nine books, five of which she has written single handily.

Interestingly and much to her delight, Brown’s latest work of art is scheduled to be complete and released on her birthday, which is December 17.

Talk about counting her array of blessings for such a remarkable time as now.

“I am super excited, because not only is it my birthday, but it is the 10th year anniversary of me living in freedom of trauma and strife – living an empowered life,” said Brown, whose authorship greatness was spearheaded through a God-orchestrated vision.

GO PRECIOUS…IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY Interestingly and much to her delight, Brown’s latest work of art is scheduled to be complete and released on her birthday, which is December 17.

“God gave me the vision to write a book when I was a little girl, but I doubted it was possible,” Brown told MHN during an October 2017 interview.

Because of who she is and because of where God is taking her, she has gone to great lengths to diligently carry out and fulfill such a lofty vision ever since.

Yep. To God be the glory for the things He has done.

“The message is that you can rise above any obstacle manifested in your life. You must believe you can, do the work to get to the next level, and greater will manifest. The authors went to great lengths to encourage, inspire, and motivate the readers to take their power back and grab life by the horns through faith.” — Precious S. Brown

As for her latest book, Brown wasted little time gathering the troops and began collaborating with them to collectively assemble “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

And, as a result, Brown and Co. have already become the beneficiaries of some favorable feedback — this for a book that is still weeks away from its much-anticipated release.

“So far, as we continue to drop seeds of the release people are anticipating another great read,” Brown said. “My audience is used to the quality material I deliver, and they are expecting nothing less than to be taken on a journey ending in empowerment.”

More than anything, though, Brown doesn’t shy away from the notion that her forthcoming book is just another memory in the divine purpose for which God has created her.

As well as for the other contributors to this book.

DESTINY STEPS — More than anything, Brown doesn’t shy away from the notion that her forthcoming book is just another memory in the divine purpose for which God has created her.

“This book adds great value to the purpose in which I was created,” Brown said. “I know my life has been designed to empower others who feel they are undeserving or unworthy. My assignment is to show the less fortunate that no matter the hand they were dealt, they too still have purpose.

“You see, had I allowed the abuses (physical, mental, emotional, drug and alcohol) to define who I am and stop me from seeing that God could use me too, the lives that are divinely connected to me would never be changed,” Brown continued. “That is the reason I continue to move forward in purpose on purpose.”

With God, her Helper, leading the way.

Yep. To God be the glory for the things He has done.

GOD’S LEADING LADY — To grasp a thorough understanding of how vital Thomas’ organization is especially prevalent for such time as now as Making Headline News kicks off its Bishop T. D. Jakes’ 2018 Woman Thou Art Loosed advance coverage, look no further than the staggering numbers amongst suicides in America in recent years.

According to a June 2018 report by The Washington Post, suicide rates rose in all but one state between 1999 and 2016, with increases seen across age, gender, race, and ethnicity, as cited in a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In addition, the organization discovered that of more than half of all deaths in 27 states, the people had no known mental health condition when they ended their lives.

All things considered, these are amongst the reasons Thomas has become especially committed to doing whatever is necessary to impact lives — one life at a time.

“First and foremost, it is because we are commanded to love one another,” said Thomas, explaining why it is imperative that we esteem others highly than ourselves. “Secondly, I want to be the change I want to see. Having been nurturing and mentoring youths for more than 15 years, Thomas’ nonprofit organization caters mostly girls ranging in ages of 10 to 16, although she emphasized that her Family Empowerment Project accommodates families nationwide.

After all, she’s destined to make a difference, determined to have a monumental impact amongst youth all across America.

“After God gave me the vision, I was inspired by Miss Natalie from another nonprofit, 4 Girls, Inc., Charles Reese, Apostle Okose Emmanuel, my prophet, and Rev. Mother Ayomide of Lagos, Nigeria, my mentor,” said Thomas, whose inteniary includes an upcoming speaking engagement at schools in Ghana and Nigeria later this year.

Chicago entrepreneur BreAnna Dante’ Watson’s business is a godly thing of beauty

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES BREANNA DANTE’ WATSON

If, by chance, there was such a thing as placing someone’s face alongside the familiar Biblical passage that is Psalm 139:14, one would be hard-pressed not to erect BreAnna Dante’ Watson’s alongside it.

For starters, Watson could be appropriately described as one who knows full well she is fearfully and wonderfully made in God — which, to her distinctly unique credit, essentially sums up why she routinely exemplifies such a trend through her business-related endeavors.

A native of Chicago, Watson is an accomplished businesswoman as owner and CEO of Dante’ Image Consulting & Beauty and Beauty Is My Ministry.

Having labeled beauty as a ministry, of sorts, Watson is the afforded the golden opportunity to function as a consultant, wardrobe stylist, a professional MUA, as well as a mentor through a business venture whereby she boasts more than a decade of professional experience.

Much to her delight, her ability to bask in the glory of her element generally begins with the notion that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in God.

“I have mastered the physical aspect of the beauty industry, the makeup, the clothing, the hair, etc. But as a minister, it is most important to me to deal with how my clients, mentees, etc., feel on the inside.” — BreAnna Dante’ Watson

“I have always had a love for all things, fashion and beauty, since I was a little girl and it grew into a passion of mine as I got older,” Watson told Making Headline News during an interview this week. “I have always had an eye for putting outfits together, and the Lord blessed me to be very good at what I do. He blessed the work of my hands, so everything I touch, all the outfits I put together, and all the makeup I’ve done, I’ve done them extremely well. That’s why I’m here, to coach in the key areas of visual impact.”

THE PROVERBS 31 FACTOR — A native of Chicago,
BreAnna Dante’ Watson is an accomplished businesswoman as owner and CEO of Dante’ Image Consulting & Beauty and Beauty Is My Ministry.

A business that accommodates people of all ages, Watson acknowledged that amongst her greatest fulfillments as a young entrepreneur is her ability to strategically bring to life the visions of her clients.

“There is no greater feeling for me than seeing a person smile, because they look and feel beautiful and I had something to do with that,” Watson said. “However, it’s more than just the physical outside appearance but, more important, how they feel on the inside, which is why I started Beauty Is My Ministry.”

For what it’s worth, it is a thriving, progressive ministry that has become a fixture, particularly in the Body of Christ.

HOOKIN’ THEM UP — A business that accommodates people of all ages, Watson acknowledged that amongst her greatest fulfillments as a young entrepreneur is her ability to strategically bring to life the visions of her clients.

Because, after all, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with church folk looking as sharp as a tack when preparing for worshipping.

“I have mastered the physical aspect of the beauty industry, the makeup, the clothing, the hair, etc.,” Watson said. But as a minister, it is most important to me to deal with how my clients, mentees, etc., feel on the inside.”

More than anything, Watson emphasized, her work in centered largely on executing her skills and mechanics, according to God’s purpose.

“I don’t want what I do to be a cover up or mask of God’s work, but simply an enhancement,” Watson explained. “I say it all the time that I’d be remiss if I did someone’s makeup or enhanced their wardrobe only for them to look in the mirror and still not feel beautiful or still be broken, because the things that are going on the inside have not been dealt with. So it’s much more than the physical.”

While a majority of her clients are based in Chicago and the surrounding areas, Watson will undoubtedly have the numerous opportunities to expand and promote her business in other parts of the country, particularly when traveling to different states to work and engage in ministerial duties.

“God’s willing, I will be able to touch the nations soon,” Watson, a 2006 graduate of Grafton (Massachusetts) Memorial Senior High School, said. “My vision is to motivate young women to identify and walk in their true beauty and purpose and have a heart like Christ. That is the ultimate beauty and to bring a little more style and class to everyone’s world.”

SPIRITUAL SWAG — While a majority of her clients are based in Chicago and the surrounding areas, Watson will undoubtedly have the numerous opportunities to expand and promote her business in other parts of the country, particularly when traveling to different states to work and engage in ministerial duties.

All the while greatly enabling them to realize they, too, are fearfully and wonderfully made in God.

Having enrolled at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago, where she studied Fashion Design, Watson will be a presenter during “Beauty Camp,” an event for young girls October 20 in nearby Calumet City from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST.

THE PSALM 105:1 FACTOR — “There is no greater feeling for me than seeing a person smile, because they look and feel beautiful and I had something to do with that,” Watson said. “However, it’s more than just the physical outside appearance but, more important, how they feel on the inside, which is why I started Beauty Is My Ministry.”

“I’ve been blessed to have some amazing folks, who have inspired and pushed me to go after my visions and purpose,” said Watson, who credits her Pastor, Prophet Tyree Beard and his wife, Lady Jennifer Beard (The City of David Movement of Chicago), as well as Elder Takaira Milton for having monumental impacts on her sustained success.

“I constantly honor (my spiritual leaders) because had it not been for them and their constant push and prayers and covering, I would not be the woman and preacher I am today. They are the best.”

Iowa author Spring C. Jackson’s latest book inspiring others to conquer fear while pressing toward their destiny

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES SPRING C. JACKSON

She goes by the name of Spring C. Jackson.

How clever, considering her name is a spinoff of arguably one of the most celebrated of the annual four seasons.

Regardless, when it comes to her immeasurable gifts as an author, this remarkably brilliant writer customarily goes to great lengths to display her authorship gifts all year round.

CHI TOWN’S FINEST — Today, Cedar Rapids, Iowa-area author Spring C. Jackson’s name is affiliated with yet another awe-inspiring written document to complement two other books that were officially released this year: “We Are Women of Substance” and “Queendom Diaries: Pages From The Diary of A Queen.”

A native of Chicago, Jackson is the mastermind behind her story in the soon-to-be-released and spiritually empowering book entitled, “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

For Jackson, who currently resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a rather intriguing series of events unfolded leading to her having assembled “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

“I came across the petition for the project, attempting to connect and network with fellow author coaches and looking to build my team as a book project manager,” Jackson told Making Headline News this week. “That is how I stumbled across Ms. Precious Brown.”

Brown, an accomplished author who has published an array of books, is the founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing, a Flint, Michigan-based venture that has made some pretty favorable strides since its inception in March 2017.

“God actually tugged at my heart to be a part of this project,” said Jackson, referring to her partnership with Brown. “I was already on two other anthologies and was thinking to myself that was enough for now.”

GOD’S DOING — For Jackson, a rather intriguing series of events unfolded leading to her having assembled “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises.”

Much to Jackson’s delight, it didn’t take very long for her and Brown to form a solid connection, one that had ultimately given way to a masterpiece that has come wrapped up in a book.

“I initially spoke with her about what she does as a publisher,” Jackson explained. “I ended that call and just shook the thought. However, it just kept coming up in my feed, and I really felt like I was supposed to be a part of this book, so I in-boxed her and asked her if there were any more spots left.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

Today, Jackson’s name is affiliated with yet another awe-inspiring written document to complement two other books that were officially released this year: “We Are Women of Substance” and “Queendom Diaries: Pages From The Diary of A Queen.”

As for “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises, a book that depicts her latest story, Jackson emphasized, among other things, that someone out there — whether it be in the world or in the Body of Christ — has full access to her story, a God-orchestrated connected whereby He’s strategically using her life-changing story to minister to them.

“If I keep it to myself forever, not only do I stay trapped in fear, but I do not fulfill His purpose for what I went through,” Jackson said.

Interestingly, it didn’t take very long for Jackson to get her latest story ready for the latest book that bears her name — somewhere in the neighborhood of two months be exact.

Now that her much-anticipated project has officially made its presence in a third book, Jackson does shy away from the notion that what her reading audience has at its disposal is the spiritual Cliff Notes on how to conquer and outlast the spirit of fear, among other attacks launched by the enemy.

“My message is simply this: Fear does not have to take over your life,” Jackson said. “I shared in this book how I made a permanent decision based on a temporary situation due largely in part by what I thought people would say and what people would think.”

RAISING THE BAR — As for “I Rise, Living Beyond The Bruises,” a book that depicts her latest story,  Jackson emphasized, among other things, that someone out there — whether it be in the world or in the Body of Christ — has full access to her story, a God-orchestrated connected whereby He’s strategically using her life-changing story to minister to them.

But God…

“What I learned much later is that people are people and will always fail you,” Jackson said. “People can know what you are up against and will offer their unwelcomed opinion regardless. The question is, ‘How will you respond?’”

For Jackson, it’s safe to assume that she’s responded rather masterfully to the slew of unfavorable forms of adversity she’s endured leading to her divine calling and assignment for such a time as now.

“This book is part of my purpose in two ways,” Jackson explained. “First, it is developing me as a writer. It is a gift that has been recognized in me since I was a little girl. I have always enjoyed writing and my mother always told me that I should be a journalist.

“The second is helping to develop my ministry and assisting me with the courage not to just tell my story, but show others how they can overcome the fear that keeps them bound and not being able to fulfill purpose in life, love, ministry, business can offer in so many areas,” Jackson added.

Now that her latest book had created an overwhelming sense of enthusiasm, Jackson said other books are surely on the horizon, most notably her premiere independent literary work entitled, “Fearless Faith Foundation: A  90 Day Devotional Journal.”

In this forthcoming book, Jackson will assist others on the importance of changing their mindset by helping them to abandon fear and develop their faith.

IN AWE OF GOD — Now that her latest book had created an overwhelming sense of enthusiasm, Jackson said other books are surely on the horizon, most notably her premiere independent literary work entitled, “Fearless Faith Foundation: A 90 Day Devotional Journal.”

“I also plan to write a book about fear,” Jackson said. “I am the expert on the subject, because it crippled me and choked the life right out of me for years. I unknowingly lived in a negative place, gripped by the fear of people’s opinions, displaying my God given abilities and, ultimately, not walking in purpose.

“Sharing my testimony about what I been through is just the start,” Jackson continued. “Teaching on the subject of fear is a part of my ministry and makes all of my trials and tribulations worth the journey. Glorifying the Father and serving others is the ultimate goal.”

Not just in the Spring.

But rather all year round.

Dallas/Fort Worth-area minister Dytaan Carter conquers jail life, starts a thriving, kingdom-enhancing prison ministry

DALLAS — A little more than a decade ago, Dytaan Carter was widely viewed as just some dude from the hood who was accustomed to running the streets and getting his hustle on.

DOING IT GOD’S WAY — An ex-inmate who was jailed for drug trafficking, Dytaan Carter deemed it essential to erect a Dallas/Fort Worth-area prison ministry whereby he is afforded the golden opportunity to help enhance and change the lives of current and former inmates. Pictured with Carter is his wife Maranda Carter, and their children, Rana, Dytaan, Jr., and Ryleigh.

At the end of the real day, even those rugged, brutally chaotic streets didn’t have what it took to rob him of his young life.

As Carter vividly recalled, the prelude to God strategically positioning him for ministry began to unfold just hours before Resurrection Sunday in 2007.

“(That’s when) God first spoke to me. I wasn’t even saved yet,” Carter told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “I woke up the next morning with a hangover, going to my wife’s cousin’s church in Oklahoma City, Pastor Cedric Pettis.”

As it turned out, that brief visit to nearby Oklahoma City is one about which Carter credits for essentially opening his eyes to bigger and better things opposite those about which the dreaded street life had to offer.

“I told my wife that the Lord spoke to me the night before and that He said, ‘I want you to teach my word,’” Carter recalled.

YEAR OF THE TURNAROUND — He recently started an online conference ministry as well as a weekly Bible study that take place at his home and is held every Tuesday at 8 p.m. CST — a far cry from his disheartening days during which he was jailed behind prison bars, reading on an eighth grade level while the overall landscape of his life seemed very much in doubt.

So much for setting up shop in the streets as his figurative living room, of sorts, his massive, yet sometimes unfair playground, if you will.

“I was still living in the streets at that time,” Carter said. “When we got to the church, I set in the back.”

Carter, in fact, admittedly tried all he could to prevent anyone from noticing that he was struggling with a hangover. Little did he know, though, God noticed which, to his credit, practically explains why he was single-handily picked out and set aside for God’s use.

“Didn’t want pastor to know that I was hung over and falling to sleep,” Carter jokingly said. “Pastor Cedric said, ‘DT Carter, come up here to the front.’ When I got up there he prophesied over my life. He said, ‘God wants you to preach His word’ and, immediately I turned toward my wife and asked, ‘Why did you tell him?’”

SPIRITUAL LIGHT BULB MOMENT — As it turned out, that brief visit to nearby Oklahoma City is one about which Carter credits for essentially opening it eyes to bigger and better things — opposite those about which street life had to offer.

For Carter’s information, his wife, Maranda, had nothing to do with what apparently was a dramatic sequence of spiritual events.

“She shrug her shoulders and said, ‘I did not tell him,’” said, Carter, alluding to the familiar passage of John 10:27. “Yeah, that was my first confirmation that I was called by God. “My sheep know My voice. They know Me and I know them. Amen.”

Fast forward to some 11 years later, and this is where Carter — a much more spiritually mature human being — is steadfastly fortifying his immeasurable kingdom gifts in ways unimaginable, in ways whereby the streets can’t merely assume any credit.

To his credit, although his present ministry is in its infancy stages, Carter, 36, essentially had become passion about ministering to incarcerated individuals inside of a few Oklahoma prisons between 2007 and 2011.

An ex-inmate who was once jailed for drug trafficking , Carter deemed it essential to erect a Dallas/Fort Worth-area prison ministry whereby he is afforded the golden opportunity to help enhance and change the lives of current and former inmates.

To his credit, although his present ministry is in its infancy stages, Carter, 36, essentially had become passion about ministering to incarcerated individuals inside of a few Oklahoma prisons between 2007 and 2011.

A native of Detroit, Carter was once tried and charged with selling drugs and was sentenced to 10 years in prison and one year in a drug rehabilitation program at a local correctional facility.

Today, unlike never before, Carter has witnessed his life change for the better — all because a little more than a decade ago, he gave up street life and sold out completely to God.

GOD’S SPOKESPERSON — Fast forward to some 11 years later, and this is where Carter — a much more spiritually mature human being — is steadfastly fortifying his immeasurable kingdom gifts in ways unimaginable, in ways whereby the streets can’t merely assume any credit.

“When I got into the county (jail), I picked up Rick Warren’s (book) Purpose Driven Life, and that’s when I started telling people about the love of Jesus,” Carter said. “I continued in Bible study.”

Interestingly, Carter managed to grasp a deeper, more intimate relationship with God, courtesy of some much-needed guidance of longtime Dallas-Fort Worth-area Pastor Andrew Jackson, Jr. of West Irving Church of God In Christ.

While a member of Jackson’s church, Carter built a solid rapport with the membership, considering he was a member of the security ministry, as well as routinely assisted worshipers on the parking lot upon their arrival for service.

In addition, Carter taught Sunday School and was active in a prison ministry sanctioned by the Dallas Coalition. Since December 2017, Carter and his family have been attending The Potter’s House of Fort Worth.

TRUE TEAM PLAYER — Interestingly, Carter managed to grasp a deeper, more intimate relation with God with courtesy of some much-needed guidance of longtime Dallas-Fort Worth-area Pastor Andrew Jackson, Jr. of West Irving Church of God In Christ. While a member of Jackson’s church, Carter built a solid rapport with the membership, considering he was a member of  the security ministry, as well as routinely assisted worshipers on the parking lot upon their arrival for service.

“Pastor Jackson helped my family and I come together,” Carter said. “He rehabilitated us. It was hard for me to get back to understanding how to cope with society. He counseled my wife and I and he also married us in June 24, 2007.”

Today, Carter is expanding his ministry just as God commanded him to.

He recently started an online conference ministry as well as a weekly Bible study that takes place at his home and is held every Tuesday at 8 p.m. CST — a far cry from his disheartening days during which he was jailed and housed behind prison bars, reading on an eighth grade level while the overall landscape of his life seemed very much in doubt.

But God…

BACK ON TRACK — Say this about this prisoner-turned-minister: He’s certainly got it and has done it God’s way — all because a little more than a decade ago, he gave up street life and sold out completely to the One Person Who matters most.

“When I went (to jail), I picked up the Bible and, as I read it, I start getting better,” said Carter, who eventually got his GED, then ultimately advanced his education by enrolling at Oral Roberts University, where he studied Theology.

Yep, at the end of the real day, those rugged, brutally chaotic streets didn’t have what it took to rob him of his young life.

“My mother taught me to love and respect women, work for what you want, (love your) family and never hold grudges,” Carter said. “She said, ‘Life isn’t handed to you. You have to go and get it.’”

Say this about this prisoner-turned-minister: He’s certainly got it, has surely done it God’s way — all because a little more than a decade ago, he gave up street life and sold out completely to the One Person Who matters most.

In ways whereby the streets can’t merely assume any credit.

Flint, Michigan businesswoman Shearese Stapleton’s Mothers Of Joy, LLC was birthed amid area’s water crisis of 2014

For what it’s worth, it’s safe to assume that one of Shearese Stapleton’s notable gifts is fortifying the gift of giving.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — A longtime educator, Flint, Michigan-area businesswoman Shearese Stapleton deemed it especially essential to start what is known as The Mothers of Joy University, LLC, a strategic, empowering organization that is geared largely toward providing effective, longstanding services that would greatly inspire families to build and sustain a strong community.

Consider, for instance, how Stapleton, 44, a native of Flint, Michigan, had gone to great lengths to aid her fellow residents the best way she knew how during the Flint water crisis that transpired in the area a little more than three years ago.

“When the city I grew up in became the product of led-infected water, when children could not drink or bath with it, (I was) able to develop tools and provide resources during this time when hope was nowhere in sight to fix a problem that has not been fixed,” Stapleton told Making Headline News this week.

To her credit, not only did Stapleton become a fixture during the Flint water crisis, during which the drinking water source for that city was changed to the Flint River and, as a result, more than 100,000 residents were potentially exposed to high levels of lead in the drinking water.

MOM KNOWS BEST — Accompanied by the theme, “”Where Empowing The family Is A Way Of Life,” Stapleton’s Mothers of Joy University organization is in its infancy stages, yet it is making a solid case that it is a resource from which Flint and the surrounding can benefit mightily, especially in the wake of a water crisis that is expected to be completely resolved no sooner than 2020.

“My children and, most of all, myself, have always wanted to help and be associates to children and other families, said Stapleton, explaining the primary purpose for her community-based organization. (My primary focus is) to give a different perspective on things that don’t seem changeable.”

To her credit, Stapleton certainly possesses the accolades and credentials to oversee an organization that figures to impact countless families in Flint and the surrounding areas.

FAMILY FOCUS — “My children and, most of all, myself, have always wanted to help and be associates to children and other families, said Stapleton, explaining the primary purpose for her community-based organization. (My primary focus is) to give a different perspective on things that don’t seem changeable.”

For starters, she is a proud alumna Flint Northwestern High School — she graduated in 1991 — and, upon earning her diploma, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Child Development from nearby Mott Community College.

Presently, Stapleton is pursuing a Developmental Psychology Degree from the University of Michigan at Flint with a minor in Social Work (with an emphasis in Family Studies).

When asked why it is imperative to esteem and inspire others daily, Stapleton appropriately said, “Because that one thing you say or do could change someone’s life.”

All of which practically sums up why one of her notable gifts is fortifying the gift of giving.

Notable Michigan author Precious S. Brown making her presence felt with seven books, more projects forthcoming

HARVEST SEASON UNFOLDING — A longtime Flint, Michigan-based businesswoman and the Founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing, it’s safe to assume that Precious S. Brown, 44, has surely paid her dues in this ever-so-competitive professional writing industry, considering she is responsible for having authored seven books, five of which she wrote single handily.

To her distinctly unique credit, Precious S. Brown undoubtedly has found her niche in writing.

Need more proof?

“Writing can be a healing tool if used correctly,” Brown told Making Headline News this week. “I believe everyone has a story to tell, but only a few of us will be bold enough to do it, to change lives, to change the world.”

All things considered and because of the passion through writing for which she is widely known, Brown — for those who have followed her rise as an accomplished writer — has gone to great lengths to change the world, if you will.

A longtime Flint, Michigan-based businesswoman as the Founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing, it’s safe to assume that Brown, 44, has surely paid her dues in this ever-so-competitive professional writing industry, considering she is responsible for having authored seven books, five of which she has written single handily.

MAKING THE VISION PLAIN — “My goal is to release a life-changing book once a year,” Brown said.

For the record, Brown’s rise to authorship greatness was spearheaded through a God-orchestrated vision.

“God gave me the vision to write a book when I was a little girl, but I doubted it was possible,” Brown recalled.

As it turned out, she had ultimately proven herself wrong which, much to her delight, wasn’t a bad thing.

Need more proof?

“That vision stuck with me throughout my life, but I always pushed it to the back of my mind,” Brown explained of having discovered her passion for writing. “After my divorce, (God) brought it to my remembrance and began to lay out exactly what I needed to share and provided the relationships to make it happen.”

It was in large part because of her act of obedience to her Creator, coupled with those who share a similar passion that have greatly enabled Brown to emerge as one Michigan’s finest authors.

It all began with Brown’s workbook series entitled, The Process Of Change, which is comprised of three volumes: Vol. 1: A Look At Me; Vol. 2 – Love Yourself; and Vol. 3 – Moving Forward.

Each of those written documents are used in Brown’s frequent workshops, she said and, according to the longtime writer, her “newest creation” entitled, Souls Untied, is scheduled to be released sometime in December.

In addition, Brown has engaged in a collaboration series known as: Transition 1: Create The Life You Desire and Transition 2: Ashes Emanating Beauty. As if that isn’t enough to generate the kind of exposure that has attracted a national presence, Brown has contributed to two other books, first Releasing The Fear: Walking In Faith and Shift Happens.

Both projects have been dubbed Amazon Bestsellers, she said.

All things considered, Brown’s journey as a notable author began in 2009, during which she composed her first book.

“It started as a journal to get my emotions under control,” Brown explained. “I would put it on the shelf and took it off from 2009-2012.”

Then a strange, but favorable sequence of events had unfolded the following year.

Need more proof?

ROUND OF APPLA– USE — For the record, Brown’s rise to authorship greatness was spearheaded through a God-orchestrated vision. “God gave me the vision to write a book when I was a little girl, but I doubted it was possible,” Brown recalled. As it turned out, she had ultimately proven herself wrong which, much to her delight, wasn’t a bad thing.

“I finally released it after I was challenged in September 2013,” Brown said. After that, the words kept flowing, and then I released Volumes 2 and 3 in 2014, the first Transition in 2016 and the second in 2017.”

All of which have practically fueled Brown’s creative drive to adopt what has become a personal, yet indefinite ambition, as far as she is concerned.

“My goal is to release a life-changing book once a year,” Brown said.

As always, whenever she finds herself sharing of her remarkably amazing story, chances are she will reflect back on how it all started with a vision, one that has changed the overall landscape of her life.

All things considered, Brown’s journey as a notable author began in 2009, during which she composed her first book.

“My sole reason for writing the books is two-fold,” Brown said. “I knew the vision was given to me by God, and the one thing I didn’t want to do was disappoint Him. In not disappointing Him, my purpose was birthed…to help women define themselves, relationships, and success on their own terms…to shift their mindset to align with their definition and to create the life they desire.”

Here’s more proof.

“By being very transparent in my stories and giving a lot of my personal story, trials, and triumphs, I believe the divine message is you can overcome anything is if you put your mind to it,” Brown said. “Make the decision on what you want life to be, knowing that you deserve the best and nothing can stop you.”

BASKING IN GOD’S GLORY — All things considered and because of the passion through writing for which she is widely known, Brown — for those who have followed her rise as an accomplished writer — has gone to great lengths to change the world, if you will.

As expected, the rave reviews, to Brown’s credit, are steadily pouring in which, by all accounts, are only adding to her immeasurable vision, one of which she has grabbed a firm hold.

Need more proof?

“I get all kinds of feedback from…I can’t believe you share so much,’ to ‘Thank you for sharing your story…it blessed me,’” Brown said. “Most times, I get positive feedback. Some people don’t believe the storyline, because by the grace of God, I don’t look like what I been through.”

And for the record, the proof in the pudding, mind you.

That’s because to her distinctly unique credit, Precious S. Brown undoubtedly has found her niche in writing.

Flint, Michigan businesswoman Precious S. Brown’s Kilgore Publishing Company steadily having a national impact

FOR SUCH A PRECIOUS TIME AS NOW — Precious S. Brown’s Kilgore Publishing was formally organized in March 2017. To her credit, this Flint, Michigan-based venture has made some pretty favorable strides since its inception.

During a weekend interview with Making Headline News, Precious S. Brown was asked to explain her business in detail.

“Initially, I started the company as a personal development firm named Power-N-You, and it was established in July 2014,” Brown recalled.

To her credit, it wasn’t long after her business-related discovery that God had allowed her to — for a lack of better words — discover the power within herself.

That’s because Brown’s Kilgore Publishing was formally organized, a Flint, Michigan-based venture that has made some pretty favorable strides since its inception in March 2017.

A compellingly resourceful company that was originally jumpstarted when the Kilgore Publishing Founder and CEO began writing and publishing her books, mostly The Process of Change, coupled with workbooks for workshops to help women overcome what she described as traumatic life events, Brown’s began to thrive mightily in her element when she had ultimately realized how writing and empowering others not only provided a way for the women to overcome the bondage of failure but, most of all, to enhance their self -worth, let alone their outlook on life, a trend that would eventually give way to their healing process.

HAVING AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT — It wasn’t until March 2016 that Brown has elected to shift her business-oriented focus solely on writing and publishing books for herself and others. The rest, as they say, was history.

“As I continued on the healing journey with women, I continued to write,” Brown explained.

Consequently, it wasn’t until March 2016 that Brown had elected to shift her business-oriented focus solely on writing and publishing books for herself and others.

The rest, as they say, was history.

Look at this progressive and accomplished businesswoman today, steadfastly walking in her divine purpose with God, her Helper, leading the way.

“I wanted to create a platform where women across the globe could use and launch their dreams,” Brown, a native of Mount Morris, Michigan who have authored seven books, five of which were written exclusively by her.

For starters, Brown’s greatness through entrepreneurship essentially started when she formed a gallery that was comprised of 16 women, all of whom composed a collaboration book entitled, Transition: Create The Life You Desire.

To their distinctly unique credit, it wasn’t long thereafter that this remarkable written document had emerged as the first Amazon Best Seller under Kilgore Publishing umbrella.

And, as Brown gratefully tells it, “The company continues to grow with authors being birthed every day.”

AN INFLUENTIAL IMPACT — A compellingly resourceful company that was originally jumpstarted when the Kilgore Publishing Founder and CEO began writing and publishing her books, mostly The Process of Change, coupled with workbooks for workshops to help women overcome what she described as traumatic life events, Brown’s began to thrive mightily in her element when she had ultimately realized how writing and empowering others not only provided a way for the women to overcome the bondage of failure but, most of all, to enhance their self -worth, let alone their outlook on life, a trend that would eventually give way to their healing process.

A proud 1991 honors graduate of Flint’s Beecher High School, Brown would enroll at the University of Michigan at Flint, but withdrew after learning she had become pregnant.

Just like her steadfast commitment of expanding her business, though, she ultimately resumed her higher educational ambitions and eventually earned an Associate’s Degree in Business from nearby Indiana Wesleyan University.

Credit her competitive drive to defy arguably the grandest of odds for greatly fueling her desire to not just possess a degree but, most importantly, to put it to favorable use by establishing a business venture that is steadily being embraced by those with whom she crosses paths.

AIN’T NO STOPPING HER NOW — A proud 1991 honors graduate of Flint’s Beecher High School, Brown would enroll at the University of Michigan, but withdrew after learning she had become pregnant. Just like her steadfast commitment of expanding her business, she ultimately resumed her higher educational ambitions and eventually earned an Associate’s Degree in Business from nearby Indiana Wesleyan University.

“I am very competitive with myself,” Brown said. “I do not like to feel defeated. That has driven me define success by my own terms, and it has allowed me to begin living my dream life.”

For what’s it worth, while she realized years ago that establishing a business would not be a simple task, Brown doesn’t shy away from the notion that it was well worth the hustle and bustle.

“I knew starting the business was not going to be easy,” Brown said. “I (knew) I would have a lot to learn and I would probably fail a time or two and, that alone, thrust my drive to succeed more. What I knew is if I didn’t try, I would definitely be defeated and I could not allow that to happen.”

A business she acknowledges caters largely to individuals ranging in ages 35 to 54, Brown is now being afforded the golden opportunities to share of her inspiring story on a variety of platforms around the country.

SAVORING THE FRUITS OF HER LABOR — For what’s it worth, while she realized years ago that establishing a business would not be a simple task, Brown doesn’t shy away from the notion that it was well worth the hustle and bustle.

On November 11, she has a speaking engagement scheduled in nearby Ypsilanti, Michigan. Also, she is scheduled to appear at the upcoming She’s Winning Tour and a book signing on October 21 in Atlanta.

Which, as a result, is indicative of just how much God is using her mightily while she continues to bask in the glory of her element.

“When I was at rock bottom, being inspired was like grasping at straws,” Brown explained. “I felt like I was drowning in despair. When I got to the other side, I knew I never wanted another woman to go through that process alone. I knew I could not have gone through all of that for naught. I knew there was purpose in it and I decided to use social media as an avenue to reach the masses.

“I decided a long time ago I would not wait on the phantom 40 acres and a mule,” Brown continued. “I had to go take my own, and I thrive to do it every day. Generational wealth will not be a myth for my family…it is becoming a reality.”

Talk about a detailed description of a business venture that is steadily catching this ever-so-competitive publishing industry by storm.

Gulfport, Mississippi-area ministers/entrepreneur Christopher and Amanda Upchurch impacting lives through their flourishing ministry

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM — Today, unlike never before, Christopher Upchurch and his companion, Amanda, have collectively joined forces to advance the kingdom through their progressive, thriving ministry called, The Upchurch’s Ministry. Powered by their Kingdom Healing And Deliverance Ministries International and KOR Ministries, the Upchurch’s have been birthed to bring together the lost souls, wounded, rejected, angry and misunderstood individuals back into reconciliation to the Kingdom Of YAHUAH.

GULFPORT, Mississippi — Apostle Christopher J. Upchurch said something funny recently.

Well, sort of.

“We made it to church as much as possible, but we weren’t a churchy family even though believed in God,” Upchurch told Making Headline News during an exclusive interview when describing his upbringing in his native hometown of Flint, Michigan.

Churchy. How clever.

And for the record, it wasn’t merely a play on words of Upchurch’s last name, mind you.

Regardless, for someone who was raised in what he referred to as the “number one murder capital in the U. S.,” amongst the vital trends about which Upchurch’s mother steadfastly embraced was keeping her son in a mostly Christian-oriented environment and out of harm’s way.

MAKING MUCH KINGDOM NOISE — The Upchurch’s ministry is comprised largely of a vast variety of purposes in the Body of Christ, as well as through media, marketing, and a fivefold ministry with what the Upchurchs refer to as “evident miracles,” signs, and wonders.

While his upbringing was also what he deemed “very scattered,” considering he and his family had become a part of a variety of denominations, the primary focus in the Upchurch’s household undoubtedly remained the same.

That is, they kept Jesus Christ as the Focal Point of their lives, something that greatly prevented the young Christopher from becoming a product of the crime-infested community in which he grew up.

Today, unlike never before, Upchurch and his beloved companion, Amanda, have collectively joined forces to advance the kingdom through their progressive, thriving ministry called, The Upchurch’s Ministry.

Having sold out wholeheartedly unto God 17 years ago, Christopher Upchurch has been actively involved in ministry for more than 12 years. Amanda’s notable experience in ministry spans a little more than 17 years.

Powered by their Gulfport, Mississippi-based Kingdom Healing And Deliverance Ministries International and KOR Ministries, the Upchurch’s have been birthed to bring together the lost souls, wounded, rejected, angry and misunderstood individuals back into reconciliation to the Kingdom Of YAHUAH, according to a spokesperson for their ministry at www. http://theupchurchs.com.

HARVEST SEASON FORTHCOMING — Both of whom will be the recipients of honorary doctorate degrees from St. Thomas Christian University later this year, the Upchurches don’t shy away from the notion that the formation of their ministry undoubtedly had come to fruition out of total obedience unto God.

Interesting enough, the Upchurchs’ slew of ministries are life-changing and self-sustaining and selflessness.

Not only that, their ministry is comprised largely of a vast variety of purposes in the Body of Christ, most notably through media, marketing, and a fivefold ministry, or what the Upchurches refer to as “evident miracles,” signs, and wonders.

Together, the Upchurches — given the immense strides they’ve made with their ministry in recent years — has put satan right where he belongs — on the run.

Having sold out wholeheartedly unto God 17 years ago, Christopher Upchurch has been actively involved in ministry for more than 12 years. Amanda’s notable experience in ministry spans a little more than 17 years.

Together, the couple — given the immense strides they’ve made with their ministry in recent years — has put satan right where he belongs.

On the run.

“I’d say in 2005 as well, I was baptized with the infilling of the Holy Ghost,” Christopher Upchurch recalled.

For what it’s worth, his testimony had become even more intriguing particularly in his ministry’s infancy stages.

“One day after work, I asked God to lead me to someone,” Christopher Upchurch explained. “I didn’t have any prophetic training from a leadership or leader.”

GROUNDED AND ROOTED — While his upbringing was also what he deemed “very scattered,” considering he and his family had become a part of a variety of denominations, the primary focus in the Upchurch household undoubtedly remained the same. That is, they kept Jesus Christ as the Focal Point of their lives, something that greatly prevented Upchurch from becoming a product of the crime-infested community in which he grew up.

Because God was heavily involved, it’s not as if he actually needed such prophecy experience. Rather, he was commanded by God to — you know — go with the flow for the most part.

MORE ABOUT THE CHRIS AND AMANDA’S MINISTRY: http://theupchurchs.com/

“By faith, I prophesied and gave words of knowledge to a lady sitting in a break area outside of Kroger…who was at work, but she was homeless, sleeping in her car with her daughter,” Christopher Upchurch recalled. “A night or so before, I came to tell her God saw that night. She burst into tears!”

And just like that, his God-orchestrated gift of prophecy had effectively come to pass and, to his and Amanda’s credit, their ministry hasn’t endured any signs of a drop-off since.

Not on God’s time watch.

Like her husband, Apostle Amanda Upchurch has endured and overcome her share of challenges during her quest to walk in her divine purpose in ministry alongside her mate.

Amanda, in fact, recalled like yesterday those downtrodden, dark encounters whereby she had to fight vigorously to overcome rejection, being victimized by rape, even the spirit of hopelessness. Her notable spiritual gifts include having raised the dead from aids, having been apart of local jail ministry for 10 years as well being a fixture for a prayer team from the comfortable confines of various residences.

Widely known for having erected a 24-hour prayer ministry at Grace Temple in her native establishment in 2012, Apostle Amanda also conducted a local Vacation Bible School where 70 youth and parents received salvation, and her books,  “Broken Chains” and “Challenged Leadership” are presently in the works.

“But you can (still) have deliverance and healing from the Lord Christ Jesus,” Amanda said. “It brought me to my true identity. It made me see God in a different way.”

All things considered, Christopher’s journey — though much differently than that of his wife’s — had ultimately persuaded him to fully grasp the notion of the realism of God.

And that, in any shape or form, isn’t being churchy, mind you.

As for his beloved wife’s assessment of their rise in ministry: “I was truly amazed at how real God is to me…not just others, but me,” Amanda, a McComb, Mississippi native who is the founder of Amanda’s Upchurch Ministries And KOR Ministries/Oracle Management Group Inc., said. “It had me realize God is alive and that the words we speak or preach carry life or death. I had to take God more seriously about my purpose and being chosen unless something worse could come back upon me.”

COUNTING HER BLESSINGS — Said Amanda: “We’re excited for the businesses and the creativity of the Kingdom to bless us all with the many gifts He has given us to be a blessing to others.”

“We thank the God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost for allowing us to share our lives,” Christopher Upchurch said. “God does desire for his Kingdom, Power, and Glory to reign in the earth like we’ve never seen or been reported.”

Said Amanda: “We’re excited for the businesses and the creativity of the Kingdom to bless us all with the many gifts He has given us to be a blessing to others.”

For the record, there’s nothing churchy about that, mind you.
