MAKING HEADLINE NEWS MOTHER’S DAY 2018 SPECIAL REPORT
There is one major reason why Shay Bond is so destined to reach the top.
“I’m pushing to get to the top because the bottom is too crowded,” Bond, an accomplished Mid-South-area businesswoman, told Making Headline News this week.
Having acknowledged, among other things, that she’s empowered to learn and utilize the concept of leverage to gain residual income as a strategic avenue that will greatly enable her to become successful, Bond, 34, has become a fixture as Regional Vice President for Primerica Financial Services.

A Duluth, Georgia-based insurance and financial services company that uses a hybrid model of direct selling, franchising and distribution, Primerica was comprised of a reported 116,827 independent representatives in 2016 whereby it conducts business primarily in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, according to spokesperson for the company.
Moreover, this globally-acclaimed business is widely known for its commitment to helping families get out of debt, save money, protect their income and work towards being financially independent.
“We are the only company that teaches middle income families how to build generational wealth,” said Bond, who became affiliated with Primerica two years ago. “The company has 86 millionaires and over 4,000 people making six figures yearly. I’m in a fight to be the 100th millionaire in the company.”
Given the immeasurable and aggressive strides she has made since joining Primerica, it’s safe to assume that Bond is making a strong case that she’s destined to become one of the company’s big name personalities much sooner than later.
Amongst the notable reasons, Bond said, is that she aspires to garner financial independence after coming to a realization that being an employee or self-employed “was not going to get me there,” she said forthrightly.
“Primerica is teaching me how to build a business within a business, and teaching me financial concepts to teach my family and others to build wealth,” Bond said. “I love educating families, putting together a game plan for them to get on track with them finances, and helping them to create a brighter future for themselves and generations to come after them.”
Interestingly, that Bond is afforded the golden opportunity to pass the knowledge she’s acquired through Primerica to others is, by all accounts, priceless.
“I also enjoy hiring new agents and teaching how to do what I do for families so that I can have more people in the city helping with the agenda of financial independence,” Bond said.
A native of Memphis and a 2001 graduate of the historic Whitehaven High, Bond advanced her education at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned a Bachelor of Art in Education and Behavioral Science in 2006. Four years later, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Memphis.
Since joining Primerica, Bond is afforded the luxury of traveling at least twice a month throughout the U.S., during which she is allowed to train agents she hire.
In addition, she frequently hosts financial workshops and seminars, and has become a fixture, particularly at various conventions sanctioned by the company hosts, during which Primerica reps teach its consultants how to help families more efficiently.
“My mission is to teach and educate families about personal finance and put a plan in place suitable for that family to improve their finances which can make family dynamics and relationships stronger,” Bond said.
As she eloquently explained, there are a few vital reasons why she deems it essential to take such an awesome approach as it pertains to possessing financial freedom.
“Due to a lack of a financial education in my childhood and my early adult life, I felt defeated, depressed, and ashamed, because I couldn’t win in life financially, and I don’t want others to feel that pain of dealing with relationship and family challenges due to being uneducated about money,” Bond said. “And by me growing my business, it allows me to serve an entire family, including the children, by being educated financially, to helping their goals and dreams to come true and to maintain strong family relationships.”
In a nutshell, Bond doesn’t shy away from the notion that since joining Primerica, she’s empowered to help rescue families rid themselves of financial adversity.
One family at a time.
“I will become an influence in households across the country through seminars, workshops, webinars, one-on-one consultations and social media outlets,” Bond said.
Surely, it was her children who greatly inspired Bond to move forward with her current business venture. There’s no turning back — no turning back for all the right reasons.

“I want them to live a different life than I liked financially, so I decided to retire from teaching to work in this company full time and push to get to where I am, which is a Regional Vice President of one of the top Financial Services Firms in North America,” Bond said.
Amongst her primary objectives moving forward: Inspire others to become successful through this globally acclaimed company.
“I have the ability to hire people to work with our company full time and part time,” Bond said. “This is the opportunity that was given to me and I didn’t know it existed. So many people are taught that they only have four options when they complete college, which is go to college, trade school, military, or get a job. No one tells us that we can become an owner of a business.”
All of which practically sums up why she is steadily defying the greatest of odds.
All of which practically sums up why there is one major reason why she is so destined to reach the top.
Given the immeasurable strides she’s made in such a brief timespan, she seems well on her way.
