DALLAS — Five and counting.
That is how many awe-inspiring books accomplished empowerment extraordinaire Sylinda Mumphery has written over the past 12 years.
GOD’S LEADING LADY
Her latest: The Heartbeat Of A Woman, an inspirational and informative written document that made its much-anticipated presence on the market Mother’s Day weekend.
For Mumphery, a native of Cordele, Georgia who resides in Atlanta, her latest book was composed in large part because her primary desire is for women to understand that their hearts are delicate and that they must be careful of whom they allow to hold it.
“When we were created, our hearts became one with God and it is the most precious gift on the inside of us,” Mumphery told Making Headline News this week. “Everyone is not capable or equipped to carry the weight, power or the magnitude of love that flows from our hearts.”
Having grasped the vision last September to produce her latest book, Mumphery needed just a few months to complete The Heartbeat Of A Woman, a rather brief project that was released less than a year after her previous book, The Secrets Within.
Widely known amongst her peers as “Sylinda D,” Mumphery is owner and CEO of SylindaD, LLC and is widely known as the founder of Removing The Bandages Women Movement.
Besides The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within, Mumphery is the mastermind behind the books: Malcolm And Peanut, a children’s book that was released in 2006), In The Name Of Love, a book that designed for teens that was released that same year, and Heal My Private Parts, a project that hit the market in 2014.

As for her latest book, Mumphery is extremely appreciative of the favorable feedback she’s garnered in such a brief timeframe since its ceremonious release.
“I have received positive feedback so far,” Mumphery said. “Several women have told me that they can relate to the chapters and have found themselves in at least one or two (occurrences).”
Asked in what ways is her latest book a part of the purpose for which God has created her, Mumphery, without hesitation, said: “There is so much that I can say in regard to this question. I have experienced a lot of heartbreak in my lifetime; however I now understand that my pain was for my purpose. This book speaks of several types of heartbeats and I can relate to each one.”
Which, as a result, practically sums up why Mumphery is thoroughly persuaded that The Heartbeat Of A Woman is especially prevalent for such a time as now?
All things considered, there mere fact that she’s conquered and outlasted her assortment of hurtful encounters, she’s destined to help others follows suit.
“I want to see every woman win and be the best that she was created to be,” Mumphery said. “I realized that if I continued to hold onto my pain and carry it on the inside of my heart, then I would never be a complete woman or walk in my purpose. I went through the fire and endured the pain, so that I could reach back and pull my sisters out, to let them know that even though their heart may have experienced trauma, they did not flat line and that they too can make it.”
With a few scheduled public appearances, during which she will promote and speak in detail about her new book, Mumphery has announced that Part 2 of The Heartbeat Of A Woman and The Secrets Within are presently in the works, as well as “many more books to come,” she acknowledged.
Besides being a notable and accomplished author, Mumphery is a mentor, motivational speaker, and an Atlanta-based radio talk show host.
As for her latest project, she doesn’t shy away from the notion that offering a great deal of transparency, coupled with viewing obstacles from God’s perspective, have benefited her mightily as a longtime and thriving author.
Five books and counting.
For the record.
“We must guard our hearts and be careful that we don’t allow others to cause it to bleed,” Mumphery said. “When we discover who we are and what’s on the inside of us, then we will understand that not everyone is worthy of entrance into the place that produces life within us.”
