“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)
While conducting an interview on Tuesday afternoon, a reporter jokingly referred to Kent Osbourne as “Dr. Osbourne.”
GOD’S DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN — Atlanta Businessman Kent Osbourne’s soon-to-be-released book entitled, “From Prison To Power,” an awe-inspiring, tear-jerking written document that depicts an integral portion of the life of a man whom, to his credit, has gone from being a high school dropout, to behind prison walls, to a man whom, truth be told, is presently savoring his best life now, all the while reaching back and helping others in the process.
Consequently, Osbourne found it rather amusing.
“You mean Mr.?” Osbourne said with a grin.
For the record, while the reporter was, in fact, joking, that he paid Osbourne such an intriguing pleasantry, in many aspects, carries a great deal of weight, something this accomplished Atlanta-area businessman fully welcomes.
“I guess I am a doctor. I definitely can help people,” Osbourne told Making Headline News this week.
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Osbourne doesn’t seem to mind assuming an honorary role as a doctor, of sorts, look no further than how he has gone about providing spiritual comfort and renewed strength, particularly to those whom, like him, have witnessed God strategically try their faith in ways unimaginable.
Not only that, look no further than how Osbourne has deemed it essential to share before global platform how God miraculously rescued from the depth of a prison cell only to thrust him on arguably the most commendable platform in his young life.
In fact, look — and read — no further than Osbourne’s soon-to-be-released book entitled, “From Prison To Power: Your Prison Starts In Your Mind.”
An awe-inspiring, tear-jerking written document that depicts an integral portion of the life of a man whom, to his credit, has gone from being a high school dropout, to behind prison walls, to a man whom, truth be told, is presently savoring his best life now, all the while reaching back and helping others capture a new lease on life in the process.
For the record, it all begins in the mind, Osbourne appropriately explained.
“The single, most underlying reason I chose to produce this book is to free people out of their mental prisons that have people stuck in life and making bad choices, and to allow people to have power over every aspect of their lives once they are free,” Osbourne said.
For the record, mind you, this is about to become more thought-provoking from the mouth of an ex-prisoner who knows damn well what he’s talking about.
“You don’t have to be locked in a physical prison to be locked up,” said Osbourne, further explaining the purpose of his very first book. “You can be locked up in your mind. The physical prison is just the result from being locked up in a mental prison. I believe by me sharing my story, people will learn valuable information on what not to do in life if they want to be successful.”
COMEBACK STORY FOR THE AGES — To grasp a thorough understanding of why Osbourne doesn’t seem to mind assuming an honorary role as a doctor, of sorts, look no further than how he has gone about providing spiritual comfort and renewed strength, particularly to those whom, like him, have witnessed God strategically try their faith in ways unimaginable.
A book Osbourne began producing back in January 2007, this Melbourne, Florida native needed somewhere in the neighborhood of roughly eight months to complete it.
Now he’s just days away from witnessing his book’s much-anticipated release — July 4 to be exact.
“I believe people will learn from my mistakes, and the goodness of God through my teachings in my book to go on to live a productive, successful, and pleasing life unto God,” Osbourne said. “I produced this book to add value to people’s lives. I want people to know that whatever you have done in life, you still can be successful. If I can do it, anybody can do it. You just have to be willing to make that change.”
ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM — Osbourne has deemed it essential to share before global platform how God miraculously rescued from the depth of a prison cell only to thrust him on arguably the most commendable platform in his young life.
Much to his delight, coupled with the God-appointed calling on his life, Osbourne has, in fact, proven to be one who hasn’t merely allowed prison life to define him.
Heck, if nothing else, life behind bars proved to be the much-needed turnaround he needed to, well, turn around his life, one whereby God is yet using him for His glory.
As expected, the feedback for a book that has yet to hit the market is already garnering favorable feedback, said Osbourne, the proud owner and CEO of K.O Trucking LLC, Generation Changers International LLC, and Prison To Power Inc.
Not to mention a great book by a great businessman and a great motivator, not to mention a great ambassador for the kingdom of God, someone this modern-day church era surely needs for a time such as now.
IN THAT ORDER — As expected, the feedback for a book that has yet to hit the market is already garnering favorable feedback, said Osbourne, the proud owner and CEO of K.O Trucking LLC, Generation Changers International LLC, and Prison To Power Inc.
“I wasn’t supposed to make it,” Osbourne said. “Lost both parents before the age of 10. Homelessness. High school dropout. Abused and sold drugs. In and out of jail. Two prison sentences.”
Still, even after arguably the most trying and chaotic season of his life, Osbourne had sense enough to realize that God was there all the time.
Yep. Too late, devil. You should’ve killed him when you had the chance.
Today, unlike never before, belongs to God, as evidenced by his life’s dramatic comeback for the ages.
COME AS YOU ARE — If nothing else, life behind bars proved to be the much-needed turnaround Osbourne needed to turn around his life, one whereby God is yet using him for His glory.
“I found a greater purpose, although I suffered so much pain,” Osbourne said. “I realized if I wanted better out of life, I had to change and that change started with changing my mindset. I give all the glory and honor to God, my Father, Who gave me the knowledge to go from prison To power. I say to anybody out there that is tired of their current circumstances like I was and want to change, ‘It is possible. If I did it, you can do it. Anybody can do it.’
“You just have to be willing to make that change and it will happen,” Osbourne continued. “I sit here today as the owner of K.O. Trucking LLC, Generation Changers International, and founder of Prison To Power Inc. non-profit. I’m now building my brand as a motivational speaker and transformational speaker, motivating and inspiring others to be the best versions of themselves, teaching them how to go from the prison in their minds to living a life full of abundance. I made it. I’m so glad I made it. I made it through. You can to.”
Well said, Dr. Osbourne.
