Surely, there are number of definitions to describe what a people person is.
For Elizabeth Norris Jackson, she has provided a uniquely intriguing twist to such a term.
Consider, for instance, how Jackson, a longtime Houston-area entrepreneur, routinely goes to great lengths to achieve her customer service goals and objectives.
“Meeting people, enjoy building relationships, as well as having an opportunity to promote healthy hair,” Jackson, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said when asked what she loves the most about being the owner and CEO of a variety of business ventures. “I also love the freedom and flexibility in being a business owner whereby I set my own hours. Lastly, I use my business as a platform for Christ to spread the Word and to encourage and comfort others.”
Given she is the proud owner of Houston’s Interactive Hair Studio Salon, as well as the mastermind behind Ez Needle Multi Threader, “M’Bracing Beauty Christian Magazine, not to mention an accomplished photographer, graphic designer, and videographer and editor for a talk show, Jackson is surely presented with the golden opportunity to encourage people from various walks of life.

“My personal mission, I believe, is to not only take care of women’s (hair) glory, which is how the Bible describes it, but also introduce the lost to Christ and encourage the save to trust and follow Him,” said Jackson, 54, a native of Houston who’s currently enrolled in Therapon Biblical Institute College, where she’s pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biblical Doctrine.
While she’s fully aware that competition is extremely key as it pertains to enjoying sustained success as a business owner, Jackson doesn’t shy away from the notion that her willingness and passion for lifting up and promoting Christ essentially has set her business endeavors apart from others in the beauty industry.
“In this industry, competition stands out, but I come not in a competitive spirit, but to make a difference with the knowledge and understanding that God has given me a gift, so I must do it in love,” Jackson explained. “I believe in working hard and operating in excellence, knowing that it will return a great harvest in due season.”
Much to her delight, it seemed that Jackson is effectively basking in the glory of her long-awaited harvest season.
Amongst the reasons is that even as a successful businesswoman, she has grasped a thorough concept of what it means not to become complacent. Rather, she’s one who has appropriately adopted a mindset that suggest never is it too late in life to enhance and upgrade one’s endeavors, particularly through entrepreneurship.
“It’s never too late to learn new things, obtain different degrees and knowledge, and desire great success in life,” said Jackson, a graduate of Houston’s Forest Brook High School and College of Biblical Studies with an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Christian Counseling. “Remember, being a Christian does not mean you have to be physically poor. You’ve got to empty out what God put in you so that others may be blessed, in order that they may be a blessing.”
For what it’s worth, Jackson’s reputation is such that many have deemed her a blessing, courtesy of her immeasurable entrepreneurship gifts.
A huge blessing, that is.
“I’m excited about future opportunities to go out and share new ideas, trendy hairstyles, and to promote healthy hair,” Jackson said. “I’m grateful to the Lord for giving me the ability to teach new innovative techniques across the nations.
“It’s imperative for me to esteem others for our future generations,” Jackson added. “It’s my desire to make a difference in the lives of others through the gifts that God has given me and to leave a legacy to my generation and for generations to come.”
