Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you; but rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV)
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
DALLAS — Some five years or so ago, God thought it necessary to use someone to pose a rather memorable question to Sarah Johnson.
Once again.
To her credit, she fielded the question as if she expected it.
“I was given the vision to write my book in 2014,” Johnson, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding her newly-assembled written work. “I attended a conference and was asked if I had started writing the book.”
Interestingly, it was a thought-provoking inquiry that essentially rested on Johnson’s brain for an extended period of time.
“I went home that night, prayed to God, and asked for the blueprint,” Johnson said. “I wrote chapters one and two that night.”

And, from that point on, such a remarkable sequence had ultimately blossomed into a remarkable turn of events, a trend that eventually resulted in a full blown book entitled, “Survivor Once, Survivor For Life: Overcomer Of Cancer, Death Of A Marriage And Death Of A Parent.”
Widely regarded as an “award-winning overcomer of challenges and adversities,” Johnson has been appropriately dubbed a mother to “just five” talented, gifted and amazing children.
Her newly-produced book, in fact, depicts the assortment of events involving a fanatical, excited lover and pleaser of God, all the while enduring what she describes as continual challenges, most notably molestation, abandonment, domestic violence, cancer, divorce, even the death of her father or, as this Christian-based, Greensboro, North Carolina author says, “blows from every side.”
But God…
“She counts it an honor to have been chosen by God as His model,” said a spokesperson in a detailed introduction of Johnson’s “Survivor Once, Survivor For Life: Overcomer Of Cancer, Death Of A Marriage And Death Of A Parent” at http://www.survivoroncesurvivorforlife.com/. “Sarah is forever grateful for every opportunity to serve as a model for God’s goodness, grace, mercy, love, unmerited favor, strength, and healing.”
Having garnered a Master’s Degree in Biblical Theological Studies in December 2018 from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in nearby Waxahachie, Texas, Johnson is a native of Dallas/Fort Worth and is currently enrolled in SAG’s Master of Divinity program.
A devout woman of faith whose rash of hardships has fueled her desire to establish a close-knit relationship with Almighty God, Johnson emphasized that new book is designed in large part to encourage individuals, especially women from various walks of life.
“(I want to encourage women) that no matter the lemons you hold in your hand, lemons make the perfect lemonade,” Johnson said. “Obstacles, setbacks, lack of support from family, failed marriages, cancer, being homeless are not excuses to count yourself out. Get back in the fight for life and win it.”
Because she’s thoroughly convinced that God has strategically sanctified her for such a pivotal time as now to help advance the kingdom through her assortment of tear-jerking testimonies, Johnson is pleading with the world to commit to getting this book now — even at the presale order stage.
Why?
“The book will bless the lives of many,” she said without hesitation.
All things considered, Johnson is forever grateful she obeyed the Voice of God at that conference some five years ago.
“God has allowed everything I have encountered — the good, bad and indifferent — to encourage other women that they too can overcome all of the challenges that are before them,” said Johnson, adding that at least two more books are on the horizon. “I am living proof that you do not have to be a statistic, regardless of your profile.
“Often times, the challenges we face have absolutely nothing to do with us, but has everything to do with those individuals we encounter throughout our journey of life,” Johnson continued. “I have survived almost every imaginable trial you could think, to help and encourage others that they can survive each obstacle and thrive.”
Over and over again.
