I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)
PURPOSED FOR PAIN
La Toyia Hampton doesn’t look like what she’s been through.
Need more proof?
Consider, for instance, the turmoil and seemingly insurmountable obstacles she had to face, particularly during a time where it seemed there was no conceivable way of escape.
“In 1998, when my own children were removed from me,” Hampton, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the tumultuous events that gave way to having delved off into the authorship industry. “I realized that I was repeating a cycle set for me by my grandparents. I needed others to know that there is another way.”
For Hampton, a native of Los Angeles who resides in Lancaster, California, her ideal way of escape through that about which she had endured came wrapped up in an awe-inspiring book.

Also known as an accomplished transformational coach, speaker, and empowerment mentor, Hampton is the mastermind behind the book entitled, “Now I Know: The Hidden Victim (If You Can’t Protect Yourself, You Can’t Protect Your Children).”
An inspiring and empowering written work that is comprised of 90 pages Hampton’s “Now I Know: The Hidden Victim (If You Can’t Protect Yourself, You Can’t Protect Your Children)” made its ceremonious debut on the market on July 30, 2019.
In a book that has already garnered an assortment of rave reviews, Hampton deemed it essential to remind the masses that your children are affected by the trauma you experience in your life, as mentioned in a detailed introduction at Amazon.com.
“Even if they have not witnessed a single incident, children are connected to their mother through their very being,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Hampton’s ‘Now I Know: The Hidden Victim (If You Can’t Protect Yourself, You Can’t Protect Your Children).’ “At one point, each child was connected by every breath, every emotion, and every heartbeat to the only life source they know — mother. When mothers are experiencing pain of any sort, their children are hurting as well. Children spend time hurting, not understanding why.”
To her credit, Hampton has gone to great lengths to share a great deal of transparency in a book that figures to have an influential impact for years to come.
“I want every victim of domestic violence to know that as a mother that is the victim, the likelihood is that your child is being abused in some form,” said Hampton, explaining the divine message she aspires to get across to her reading audience. “We often think because our kids are not being physically hit or not seeing us as mothers being abuse that they are not affected by the abuse.”
As Hampton explained, she vividly recalls like yesterday her downtrodden season in the wilderness.
“I was sexually assaulted in bed with my intoxicated mother lying next to me,” Hampton said. “I chose to write this book, because I felt that I was the only one that I have experienced so much trauma as a person. I had such a horrific childhood. I (sensed) I was the only person until it was brought to my attention that other women have these experiences.”
All things considered, Hampton sensed that because she’s shared her assortment of life-changing experiences in her newly-produced book, strongholds have been broken in her life.
Now she’s destined to inspire others to follow suit — with God, her Helper, steering the way.
“Because of (my experiences), I decided to go back and make sure that every person that can hear my voice understands that they, too, can move out of trauma and become a healthy whole woman again, living beyond the past trauma and past experiences.”
Without question, she would know, in large part because this beloved author and devout woman of faith surely don’t look like what she’s been through.
