Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NIV)
GOLDEN HEART FOR PEOPLE
DALLAS — When it comes to her thriving nonprofit organization, Angel Jameson’s venture has been nothing short of remarkable.
In a nutshell, her business-related strides are such that she customarily exhibits a heart of gold to people from all walks of life.
“We are unique in that not only do we host physical pageants, virtual pageants, and events, we love to encourage servant leadership and serve others in the community,” Jameson, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining in detail Heart of Gold Pageants, a credible organization that is steadily garnering a global presence.
A flourishing organization that “focuses on what really matters — your heart,” Jameson says, Heart of Gold Pageants is a nonprofit pageant system that, by all accounts, does things differently.
An organization that appropriately refers to its participants as “royalties,” Heart of Gold Pageants has become a fixture for inspiring individuals to search inside themselves and discover who they, as well as embrace the passions that drive them, regardless of their age.

In other words, Jameson’s Heart of Gold Pageants is committed to supporting its devoted royalties’ platforms and goals by mentoring, encouraging, rewarding and highlighting them when they go above and beyond what they are called to do.
A native of Houston, Jameson was the 2017 Ms. Texas Sweetheart and Ms. Lone Star State.
As Jameson acknowledged, the success of her organization arose amid an array of achievements, coupled with humble beginnings.
“After I won a couple of titles in 2016 and 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit, and I began to realize that my crown needed to be set aside for work gloves,” Jameson said. “I began to work with my city to build back up what nature had torn apart, and I realized I had a job to not just reign, but to rally others to walk with me and to encourage them to rally others to walk with them…and so on.”
For what it’s worth, that essentially sums up why Heart of Gold Pageants has become thoroughly committed to focusing largely on what Jameson describes as positive personal growth experiences, all the while strategically promoting educational experiences and creating fun events and relationships within the family and the community.
“I love where my own crown has taken me,” Jameson said of the immeasurable strides she’s been blessed to make through her organization. “I love being able to see the elated faces of the royalties when they win. I love seeing them serving in their communities even more.
“We are a natural pageant system, so we don’t focus on what we don’t have,” Jameson added. “We celebrate what we do have. Our royalties are diverse…all ages, and races, male and female.”
A nonprofit that is starting to attract more of a global presence, Jameson is giddy of the fact that Heart of Gold Pageants recently crowned Tilla Weisel Miss Scandinavia, the organization’s first international Queen.
“There is a genuine familial feel when you join Heart of Gold in that while our state lines may separate us, we are all rooting for each other and have a common goal,” Jameson said. “I love our group because the (social media) posts are genuine and fun. Everyone encourages each other and I have seen so much growth within our system.”
A progressive organization that caters to individuals and groups of all ages — “We have royalties as young as six months old and classic royalties 50-and-up,” Jameson said — Heart of Gold Pageants is striving diligently to expand globally and, most importantly, aspiring to change the world, “one person, one family, one experience at a time,” Jameson said.
IN THE PRESENCE OF ROYALTY
“If we connect, serve and support each other, we can change legacies,” Jameson said. “Today we have reached over 10 states and are international! Newly added board member Latoya Ward resides in Tomball, Texas. Heart of Gold Administrative Coordinator Andrea Mosley is from Fort Hood, Texas! She heads the logistics and compliance department. Our new social media team coordinator is Ashley Qi, and she is from New Jersey and already setting trends in the Heart of Gold organization. We have recently added in entire Pennsylvania branch to Heart of Gold, headed up by Shadow Loring, our Miss Pennsylvania State who is working her way up to Lifetime Ambassador.
Jameson added: “We have recently crowned Cecilia and Heather Humes, Ms. Petite & Mrs. Pennsylvania State, our first Mommy & Me team in PA. Representing PA we also have Stacy Stafford (Ms. Pennsylvania State) and Britney Jeschonek (PA Heart of Gold Networking Queen). Ellie-Fae Young was recently crowned Wee Miss Colorado State, Nehemiah Powell out of Victorville, California was crowned Mr. House of Hollywood. Ashya’ Salton hails from Opelousas, Louisiana won Grand Supreme for House of Hollywood last month. Aviana and Mariella Harris from Menomonee, WI are the cutest Sister-Queens. That’s just to name a few. We added a male division and for the first time ever in February of 2020, Heart of Gold crowned J’Ziah Connor (Grand Supreme Winner) and Trushawn Gunter (Mr. King of Heart) at our Queen of Hearts Pageant. The majority of our Royalty are from Texas, but the winds of change are here.”
With the unyielding and fervent support of husband, Heart of Gold Pageants co-founder Keshawn Jameson, and board member Stephanie Gundy, this organization has enjoyed sustained success, largely because it is committed to pouring into each participant and all families, all the while ensuring a safe, carefree environment with all legalities secured and in place.
“The Board of Directors, staff, and leadership teams will continue to grow and train younger leaders while highlighting those who choose to make the most of their Heart of Gold experience,” Jameson said.
Presuming the COVID-19 pandemic passes over, Heart of Gold’s itinerary includes three upcoming pageants later this year: the Yellow Rose Pageant that’s scheduled for August 2 in Houston; the Belle of the Ball Pageant that is slated for October 25 in Beaumont, Texas; the Heart of the Holidays Pageant that is scheduled to take place December 5 in Dallas.
Jameson also announced that the State Pageant is scheduled to take place February 13, 2021 in Houston. The Nationals, she said, are scheduled for August 2021 at a location and date that have yet to be determined.
Also, plans are in the works to hold a pageant in Pennsylvania in the foreseeable future, Jameson said.
