Baltimore businesswoman Allison G. Daniels defies a slew of odds, emerges as a Christian-based entrepreneur

Andre Johnson July 22, 2020 6 min read

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard; She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. (Proverbs 31:16-17 NIV)

GOD-ORDERED STEPS

GOD’S LEADING LADY — A native of Washington, D.C., Allison G. Daniels, 53 is the owner CEO and Publisher for AGD Publishing, her Upper Marlboro, Maryland-based company that has become a fixture for customarily offering a wide range of publishing services, most notably professional custom interior layout, professional cover design, one-on-one author support, formatting, editing and ghostwriting, among other entities.

With all due respect, Allison G. Daniels was wrong.

“For a long time, I did not know that I could own my own business,” Daniels, a Baltimore-area businesswoman, said during a recent interview with Making Headline News.
Fortunately for Daniels, a devout woman of faith, God had other plans — plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future.
In that order.
That’s because not only has Daniels been blessed mightily to have delve off into the ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship, but given the remarkably brilliant strides she’s made in recent years, she could be appropriately described as a serial entrepreneur, of sorts.
A native of Washington, D.C., Daniels, 53 is the owner CEO and Publisher for AGD Publishing, her Upper Marlboro, Maryland-based company that has become a fixture for customarily offering a wide range of publishing services, most notably professional custom interior layout, professional cover design, one-on-one author support, formatting, editing and ghostwriting, among other entities.

“Provide us your manuscript and we will move forward with your vision to turn writers into authors,” said a spokesperson for Daniels’ AGD Publishing.

For Daniels, a longtime paralegal specialist for the federal government who tenure spans 36 years, her rise to achieving entrepreneurship success has come amid humble beginnings.

“I did not grow up hearing that I could become an entrepreneur,” Daniels said. “I only saw the ups and downs of failed marriages, failed relationships, and children trying to understand the concept of building a family and making a difference against all odds.”

Still, despite having been exposed to a life opposite that of a successful entrepreneurship, amongst the things about which Daniels discovered is that God had strategically set her aside for His use, as evidenced about how she’s diligently gone about helping advance the kingdom.

“One day my purpose was revealed during a season of trials, tribulations, setbacks, disappointments, and uncertainties about life,” Daniels recalls. “During those trying seasons of my life, God gave me the assignment that now was the time for me to move forward in launching my publishing company and sharing my story of hope with the world.”

MOM KNOWS BEST — A business endeavor that mostly services clients and groups ranging in ages 35-and-up, Daniels credits her mother for instilling within her the spiritual and natural qualities that have contributed fervently to her success as a progressive businesswoman.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

And so it came to pass, the construction of an entrepreneurship tenure for the opportunistic Daniels, who has added to her illustrious resume a slew of accolades and milestones — an awe-inspiring summary that essentially reads like a names on graduation ceremony program.

As Daniels emphasized, though, her mission for functioning in her divine purpose is centered largely on helping women to become a better version of themselves in Christ.

“My personal mission for doing this is to see women healed, delivered and set free,” Daniels said. “(I want them to be able to be) free to write their story, share their story, and publish their story…and to regain the love, peace and hope that they so desire.”

The Founder of Allison Daniels Ministries, LLC, Daniels holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Legal Studies. Also, she acquired a Certificate of License, which led to her being christened “Reverend Allison G. Daniels,” and she is a recipient for the Women’s Issues and Diversity Certification Award.

Interestingly, Daniels has authored nearly three dozen books, 10 of which she has co-written.

A business endeavor that mostly services clients and groups ranging in ages 35-and-up, Daniels credits her mother for instilling within her the spiritual and natural qualities that have contributed fervently to her success as a progressive businesswoman.

“My mom is my greatest inspiration for me,” Daniels said “She wanted me to keep pressing on and pursuing my dreams, so I want to thank her for a job well done.”

To Daniels’ recollection, her rise to entrepreneurship greatness was discovered as a child, she said.

“One day, I had the opportunity when I was a young child to speak in front of people at church, during conventions, workshops, and in whatever capacity my parents told me to while involved in church,” Daniels recalls. “But, little did I know, when I was speaking in front of others, teaching Sunday School and writing poems and short stories, that I was becoming the person that God purposed for me to become.”

A “BUT GOD” MOMENT — For Daniels, a longtime paralegal specialist for the federal government who tenures spans 36 years, her rise to achieving entrepreneurship success has come amid humble beginnings. “I did not grow up hearing that I could become an entrepreneur,” Daniels said. “I only saw the ups and downs of failed marriages, failed relationships, and children trying to understand the concept of building a family and making a difference against all odds.”

Much to her delight, such a notable trend has given way to Daniels having evolved as an accomplished globally-acclaimed businesswoman.

“Throughout my professional career, I have had numerous opportunities to speak, whether it was at a school, in a board room, conference room, in a church, at a community organization, at different businesses, on the campus of colleges or universities, at a community event, or for any special occasion or event that requested my services,” Daniels said. “Those experiences I take with me today because I am teaching and speaking at different venues. So, now I will continue to share my life experiences and my professional journey with others to make a powerful impact in the lives of others.”

Because, after all, God had other plans all along — plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future.

In that order.
