For Pastor Jay Vinson, it wasn’t long after the global pandemic had changed the overall landscape of our world that God subsequently introduced him to a life-altering vision.
“After my first book, Pain to Purpose, was published March 10, 2020, I knew I had wanted to write another book, which would connect with my first book,” Vinson told Making Headline News this week. “So, as I was visiting my parents in Montgomery, Alabama after my job went remotely late in March 2020 due to COVID-19, that’s when I saw God give me the vision to write this second book.”
The book to which Vinson is alluding is Stepping Into Greatness: From Pain To Purpose & Promise, his sophomore written work that is scheduled to debut on November 28, 2020.

Comprised of 110 pages in length, Vinson needed approximately two months to compose a book that is as good as advertised.

In essence, Vinson — a beloved pastor, educator, and transformational life coach — emphasized that Stepping Into Greatness: From Pain To Purpose & Promise is designed to encourage people — “particularly young people,” he acknowledged — to find their purpose serving God, even through adversity and pain.
A native of Montgomery who currently resides in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Vinson is the Lead Pastor of the True Life Church (Tuskegee campus) and has become a fixture as a certified spiritual, health and wellness life coach, as well as CEO of JJV Enterprises, JJV Vinson Corp, and founder of Jay Vinson Ministries Inc.
Having found his niche in the ever-so-competitive world of authorship, amongst the things about which Vinson is grateful is that his latest book aligns with the divine purpose for which God has created him.

As for his sophomore project, Vinson said: “This book, Stepping into Greatness, is for individuals who enjoy daily devotionals, formatted in fifty short, bite-sized devotionals. Young people will relate to the author’s experiences recounted in the book. The devotionals are drawn from the author’s personal experiences — or those people he knows — as a pastor, teacher, and from sports.
“Each devotional ends with an affirmation, which gives a positive, affirming thought to be embraced by the reader, summing up the message of the devotional.”
