DALLAS — A gallery of heavy hitters will be on hand for a notable event that is geared toward bringing about awareness to Lupus.
Organizers for Bosses Brunch have announced they will host their Fifth Annual Derby Days In Dallas, an event that is scheduled for May 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. CST in Lone Star Park’s Dash For Cash Event Room, located at 1000 Lone Star Parkway in Grand Prairie.
Tickets to Derby Days In Dallas can be purchased via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/5th-annual-bosses-brunch-for-lupus-tickets-135060187657.
Powered by Bosses Brunch, in conjunction with a number of sponsors, Derby Days In Dallas has been suitably dubbed a “Lupus Charity Event” that will co-hosted by author/influencer Titia Owens and longtime DFW radio personality John Koutsakis, widely known as “J-Kruz.”
Widely regarded as a singer, homeless advocate, accomplished makeup artist, national host, and radio emcee, Owens’ music customarily covers the Christian, classical, and Jazz genres with poise and style. Having attracted a global presence through her music, Owens currently sings around the world, serving as a homeless advocate while using her voice to bring about change.
“J-Kruz,” meanwhile, boasts a wealth of experience as a radio personality and comes to Dallas/Fort Worth after a well-publicized stint for Pittsburgh’s urban radio at WAMO 106.7 FM.
A native of Queens, New York, “J-Kruz” is an on-air radio personality for a Dallas urban radio station, 97.9 The Beat FM. As a respected member of the Dallas/Fort Worth community, “J-Kruz” is committed to not only entertaining, but serving as a notable advocate in the community.

Generally, inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems, including the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.
Also, Lupus can be difficult to diagnose because its signs and symptoms often mimic those of other ailments. The most distinctive sign of lupus — a facial rash that resembles the wings of a butterfly unfolding across both cheeks — occurs in many, but not all cases of lupus.
According to medical experts, some people are born with a tendency toward developing lupus, which may be triggered by infections, certain drugs or even sunlight.
While there is no cure for Lupus, treatments can help control symptoms.
