MAKING MAJOR STRIDES
DALLAS — Karim Muhammad’s Teachers Appreciation Foundation made it ceremonious debut in June 2014.
To his distinctly unique credit, his rising Oklahoma City-based nonprofit organization has since made some remarkably brilliant strides.
“Inspiring others is very instrumental (in that I’m afforded the golden opportunity) to encourage them to follow their dreams,” Muhammad told Making Headline News during an April 2019 interview.
Interestingly, Muhammad and his staff will have the luxury of helping someone fulfill their long-awaited dream, most notably as the proud homeowner — much sooner than later.
In a statement released this week to media, Teachers Appreciation Foundation officials announced the forthcoming launch of their annual raffle fundraiser, a July 31 event that is centered largely on raising funds to continue the organization’s mission, particularly through honoring and serving dignitaries, educators, and support staff.
The raffle is currently in progress, Muhammad emphasized Thursday night.

Participants who submit $100 for raffle tickets will have the chance to win new home valued at $225,500, according to a statement issued to Making Headline News by TAF officials.
The much-anticipated announcement of the winner will take place in front of the new home, located at 9445 NW 88th Street Yukon, Oklahoma.
“The Teachers Appreciation Foundation is excited to announce it is hosting the annual raffle of a new home,” Muhammad, 42, said in a statement. “Yes! A new home valued at $225,500.”
A native of Oklahoma City, Muhammad is especially grateful of the immeasurable strides he’s made through his organization, which is steadily attracting more of a national presence, most notably through the annual TAF Awards Show, which is considered The Teachers Appreciation Foundation’s main attraction.

Generally, the Teachers Appreciation Foundation annual TAF Awards Show is structured to give accolades and awards to dignitaries, school teachers, custodians, school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, counselors, and administrators in the Oklahoma Metropolitan School Districts and surrounding areas.
“We want the Awards Show to serve as the Grammys to Dignitaries, Educators and Support Staff,” Muhammad said, adding that he’s especially appreciative of the notion that TAF’s local administrators, teachers, and staff interact with the children each day.
“They influence and make a positive impact in the children’s lives,” Muhammad said. “We are always looking for a unique story of someone that has not only made a difference in the lives of our students but is also interested in lifelong learning.”
Teachers Appreciation Foundation’s mission is centered largely on remaining dedicated to the movement of appreciating the school village responsible for teaching the future leaders of the world, as mentioned in a detailed breakdown of this institution at https://www.taf5.org/.

Moreover, this credible nonprofit is widely known for giving back to Oklahoma schools by acknowledging and appreciating educators and support workers in a big way.
Powered by the motto, “The School Village Will Teach The Child” — a catchphrase that was spearheaded by Muhammad’s mother, former longtime educator Miniimah Muhammad — Muhammad was determined to start a foundation that honors school teachers, custodians, school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and everyone involved in the school system as a whole, he emphasized.
TAF’S VISIONARY
Since its inception, TAF officials said the organization has generated a viable presence in China, Dallas/Fort Worth, Kansas, New Jersey, and Africa, among other establishments around the globe.
TAF customarily services people and groups ranging in ages 20 to 80.
“(We are committed to assuring the unsung heroes receive their well-deserved accolades,” said Muhammad, a graduate of OKC’s Northeast High School who studied at Langston University, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Central Oklahoma. “We are committed to helping them catapult self-integrity and self-worth.”
All the while ensuring that TAF remains steadfast in its longstanding commitment to making remarkably brilliant strides.
Seven years and counting.
