And the Lord answered me, and said, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV)
OWN YOUR WORTH
DALLAS — Aaron Jordan Jr. recalls like yesterday how an intriguing, thought-provoking interview involving Tyler Perry unfolded approximately a decade ago.
“Tyler Perry did an interview about 10 years ago or so, and he stressed the fact of having ownership and being in control of your work,” Jordan Jr. told Making Headline News during a weekend interview. “That interview stuck with me all these years. One of the most important things this means is that it cuts out the middleman and opens up the opportunity for leverage and negotiations if interest is peaked by networks and/or major producers.”
By all accounts, Jordan Jr. deemed it essential to heed the wise counsel Perry, the renowned actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and Forbes’ highest-paid man in entertainment whom, in 2015, acquired a 330-acre former military base Fort McPherson located in Atlanta, which he converted to studios.
Suitably named Tyler Perry Studios, this venue is widely regarded as one of the largest film studios in the nation and established Perry as the first African-American to outright own a major film studio.
Interestingly enough, the blockbuster Marvel film, Black Panther, was the first to be filmed on one of the new stages at Tyler Perry Studios as announced by Perry via Instagram on February 19, 2018.

Famously known as “Mr. Know Your Worth,” Jordan Jr., meanwhile, was destined to pull off what many would label the unthinkable just like Perry.
A Nashville media personality who was named Making Headline News Man of The Year for 2020, Jordan Jr. announced that he has assumed full ownership and copyrights of his globally-acclaimed show, Cafe Conversation With Mr. Know Your Worth.
During a six-month stretch in 2020, Cafe Conversation With Mr. Know Your Worth aired in approximately 1.9 million households on Christian Television Network WHTN.
“Having 100 percent ownership of the copyrights of my TV show means leverage and legacy,” Jordan Jr., a native Memphian and Whitehaven High graduate, told MHN. “Purpose of (pursuing full ownership and copyrights) is making sure that my work cannot be stripped away from me.”
Most importantly, Jordan Jr. stressed, given he has reaped sustained success as an accomplished media mogul, gaining full ownership of his brand means he won’t run the risk of encountering the kind of mishaps others in similar line of work have made.
“Over the years of me building my brand, I have seen and witnessed a lot of people taking the easy road and doing things quickly which, in turn, comes back to bite them in the butt because things were not done correctly on the frontend,” Jordan Jr. explained. “There is power in ownership and having leverage. Oftentimes, we sacrifice the time for the right now.”
For Jordan Jr., his notable sacrifices are predicated in large part on his fervent quest of leaving a legacy — and passing down wealth, in putting it more bluntly — to the pride and joy of his life.
“Because of this, I have created an opportunity for my daughter to be able to partake in this as well,” Jordan Jr. says without hesitation. “Creating an opportunity for my daughter has always been a dream of mine, no matter what space I am in. My strategy and mission are to get the show in position for acquisition. Whether it is inking a deal with Bounce TV, CLEO TV, Aspire TV, or whatever network is willing to talk. Currently, we have an outstanding relationship Christian Television Network. | WHTN has blessed our team with the ability to impact the lives of over 1.9 million households across the middle Tennessee area in 59 counties, 26 cities, and on ROKU with approximately over 50 million monthly subscribers.”
Jordan Jr. is the mastermind behind Revamp The Podcast, to which he also owns copyrights, a credible venture that’s also fixture both nationally and internationally.
RAISING THE BAR
From 2014 and 2017, Jordan Jr. hosted the Know Your Worth Radio Show.
“After my last show in April 2017 on traditional radio, I began to notice a digital trend taking place,” Jordan Jr. recalls. “A lot of people were moving to the podcast format, but still holding onto a traditional feel. I was thinking to myself, ‘How can I fit this space to my liking and to my feel?’ I’ve noticed that in my niche of dating and relationships, there was no quick hit, go to nuggets of motivation in the dating space…something where you can get a quick five-minute nugget or inspiration in this space to provoke thought, but straight to the point. (Eventually, Revamp The Podcast (was born), revamping your thoughts on how you view dating and yourself in this dating realm.”
Looking ahead, amongst Jordan Jr.’s strategic ambitions is to steadfastly impact the lives of millions across the country through his assortment of business endeavors.
“(I’m also determined to) become a serious contender in the TV entertainment industry without losing focus on being impactful and encouraging,” Jordan Jr. said. “My primary focus is continuing to create my own seat at the dinner table and creating opportunities to be recognized on a national level in this TV entertainment space.”
All things considered, this beloved media-mogul-turned-resourceful-author isn’t merely allowing the unprecedented global pandemic to stop that about which he’s destined to accomplish.

“COVID has caused a lot of companies to pause and cease things by re-establishing their COVID-19 restrictions,” Jordan Jr. said. “I am a man of prayer who believes in the gifts my Creator has placed inside of me to manifest.”
Much sooner than later.
In putting it more bluntly.
