Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32 NIV)
HAVE YOUR WAY, LORD
Amy Michelle Hayes wasn’t about to offering any excuses as to why she couldn’t extend grace and agape love to those who have wronged and sinned against her.
If nothing else, she was destined to steadfastly assume the mind of Christ, determined to be of good cheer as God’s manual encourages us, according to John 16:33.
To her distinctly unique credit, Hayes deemed it necessary to address her fervent desire to, for a lack of better words, let go and let God in Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred, the highly-anticipated anthology that is spearheaded by visionary and award-winning international multi-bestselling author, Elder Joan T. Randall.
The director of Ames Heart of Love — an Atlanta based nonprofit organization that has been providing meals, supplies and support to the homeless since 2017 — this first-time author composed a chapter entitled, “A Heart Of Love,” a milestone that comes amid humble beginnings, the Atlanta native told Making Headline News this week.

“(The reason I chose to join this anthology is) so that I could free myself of the pain, bitterness, and unforgiveness,” Hayes said. “No matter what you’re going through, just know that you have options and you can make it through.”
As Hayes explains, there were times during which she had nothing on which to rely except the one pivotal thing: her faith in Almighty God.
“You can be going through pure hell, smiling on the outside, and crying on the inside,” Hayes said. “But if you keep the faith and be honest with yourself, God will see you through.”

Fortunately for Hayes, a beloved minister and empowerment extraordinaire in her own right, she can greatly attest to notion that despite her rash of unfavorable circumstances, God has given her beauty for ashes.
According to Hayes, she first grasped the vision to become an author in 2000. A little more than two decades later, such a notable endeavor has come full circle — with God, her Helper, steering the way.
“I hunger each and every day to live my life as if it was my last day on earth,” said Hayes, explaining the divine message for contributing to Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred. “Because of the burning desire that’s inside of me to share my story, I know that my life has purpose. Purpose to let others know that they can be set free. We don’t have to stay silent.”
Since making her authorship debut in February 2022, Hayes has become the beneficiary of an array of rave reviews.

“Some people said, ‘I’m sorry you went through that. Thank you for sharing your story. OMG, that’s deep. I went through something like that also. Oh no! I didn’t know,’” Hayes recalls.
Other books, she announced, are currently in the works, most notably — “I have three other books and journals,” Hayes said — a workbook that is presently in the final production stages.
Since joining Image In The Mirror II: Manifesting A Dream Deferred, Hayes has been afforded the golden opportunity to appear on other platforms, including a recent Facebook Live video during which she shared her life-altering testimony.
“It’s not my problem to save the people who brought trauma to me and my family,” Hayes said. “But sharing my trauma breaks the power of shame and unforgiveness over my life. To all of my readers, it’s okay to tell your story because it brings healing and deliverance where there is no light in dark places. You are not alone.”
More than anything, Hayes expressed her gratitude to the God-ordained connection to Elder Randall, who helped paved the way to her ceremonious authorship debut.
Said Hayes via text message to Elder Randall, an accomplished North Carolina businesswoman and author:
“Thank you for the words (of encouragement) you gave. I really appreciate you. This time I have taken for myself has been very helpful and beneficial, not only for me, but for my family as well. You are just like the Hebrew baby name ‘Joan,’ a gift from God.
“Joan, ever since I meant you and God assigned you to me, you have never given up on me. I want to say thank You. I love you so much. You have kept your assignment to God regarding me. To God be the glory!”
