It’s safe to assume that Maya Tyler’s defining moment as an author essentially surfaced in the first quarter of 2022.
“After my first book went bestseller in three categories this (past) January, the idea of writing an anthology came to me from a great friend and publishing expert, Ayanna Mills Ambrose,” Tyler, a Washington, DC-based empowerment personality, told Making Headline News this week. “Two months later, I was ready to start my project.”

Her third book to date, Tyler acknowledged that her anthology, more than anything, emerged in the wake of her having diligently sought God for a divine sense of direction.
“After being primed for the idea by Ayanna, I prayed about it, said Tyler, “and the vision God gave me was a book about the truth about recovery after loss — that’s the fact that bouncing back is not a destination or a prize to strive for, it’s a lifelong journey and you do it over and over.”
Interestingly enough, Tyler admittedly didn’t need a considerable amount of time to compose her selected chapter for And Then She Bounced Back.

“I always get this question,” said Tyler, when asked how long it took to assemble her chapter. “And I hate how it sounds to those who struggle with the writing process, but I wrote my chapter in a few hours. I’m a natural writer and pouring out my story the way it needs to be heard, to touch lives and change perspectives, that is my gift. I’m blessed and highly favored in that way.”
An anthology that has created a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms and includes a total of eight co-authors, Tyler emphasized, among other things, she expects people to connect to her candor, humor and what she appropriately refers to as a “widow-bff” vibe.
“Because connection is what helps people trust you enough to internalize the help you have to offer,” Tyler says without hesitation.

Now that her highly-anticipated collaborative book project is on brink of making its national debut, Tyler said she’s just warming up as a visionary author, insinuating that more anthologies are forthcoming, likely much sooner than later.
“I plan to do more anthology projects with many more widowed women and even widowed men in the future…who have a story to tell and wisdom to share,” Tyler, who coaches weekly on via her Instagram page, told MHN. “I also plan to write many more solo books. I love to write, and I have so much to share.”
