Another season, another remarkably brilliant milestone for Dr. Jennifer Bryant.
Just recently, Dr. Bryant was named a recipient for The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award during a luncheon honoring community leaders and heroes in Flowood, Mississippi.
An empowerment assembly that was spearheaded by the Jackson, Mississippi metropolitan area, Dr. Bryant was officially honored January 29.
Generally, The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is widely considered one of the highest honors presented to individuals who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve impressive accomplishments, thus dedicated their lives to advocating for the most vulnerable among humanity and acted with bravery to drive change in their communities — and across the world — while blazing trails for generations to come.
For Dr. Bryant, it’s safe to assume that no one, really, can assess — and embrace — her latest achievement the way she can.
“I am excited to announce that I was awarded The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award as a trailblazing leader and for my unwavering commitment to personal and professional leadership coaching and mentoring to thousands in the community and the Federal, State, and Local governments,” Dr. Bryant, the mastermind behind Reaching Within, An Empowerment Journey LLC, told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “I held various positions in the Federal government, from clerk typist to Executive Director, until retirement in 2019. My dedication to the community over the last 35 years has focused on giving others visibility and a voice to own their career journey so they can live their lives with purpose, confidence, authenticity, and success. I’ve led, supervised, and coached and mentored students in High Schools, Colleges, Universities, Federal Government employees, and Corporate associates worldwide.”

Making Headline News Woman of The Year for 2021, Dr. Bryant is well-respected Mitchellville, Maryland-based philanthropist whose notable contributions to her community include, but are not limited to:
- Got hundreds of people back to work, transitioned to new jobs, or promoted by partnering with the Maryland Small Business Development Centers and holding workshops to teach about goal setting, resume, and interview preparation. - Viewed as a community influencer for my contribution to the Homeless through in-kind donations and speaking engagements to motivate them. Some organizations and non-profits organizations I worked with, including The New Royal Family led by Jennifer Galencia, and Trinity Global Empowerment Ministries, Inc. led by Dr. Mary J. Huntley
- Partnered with Doorways For Women and Families and held Dance for a Cause for Domestic Abuse Victims to end domestic violence and family homelessness
- Hosted Career Acceleration Panels during the pandemic with topics including interviewing skills, resume review, networking for professional development, and goal setting
- Served as Ambassador for empowering and advancing women’s speakers
- Served as Licensed Chaplain of Love to many in communities
- Gave back/Volunteer community service, including several organizations
- Advocated for mental health by partnering with Dr. Mary J. Huntley to host a Professional Mental Health Panel series to equip people with the knowledge and resources to take action for their mental wellness
- Served as a member of a Card Ministry with a local church to be a source of strength for members by sending them get-well, sympathy, and encouragement cards during their time of need and,
- Facilitated classes at a local church for women that are designed to help them grow deeper and more intimate in their relationship with Christ.
As for her latest honor, it is one by which Dr. Bryant doesn’t merely take lightly.
“The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the highest honors presented to individuals who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve impressive accomplishments, dedicated their lives to advocating for the most vulnerable among us, and acted with bravery to drive change in their communities – and across the world – while blazing trails for generations to come,” said Dr. Bryant, who has become the beneficiary of a rash of congratulatory shout outs and feedback.

As Dr. Bryant recalls, she learned she had been named a recipient for The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award days after Thanksgiving.
“It was a surreal moment,” Dr. Bryant said. “And I reflected on how grateful my impact has been on others and was thankful to my friends, family, mentors, champions, and sponsors who have influenced, inspired, and invested in me.”
