Georgia single mother of three, Kenyatta Bell confident ‘justice will be served’ amid home-buying deal gone bad

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you; But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12-13 NIV)

THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS

BUT GOD — For Kenyatta Bell and her family, it seemed that buying a home by Freddie Mac had been a mostly discomforting and disheartening experience, to say the least. In 2018, Bell was informed that her home was sold to her illegally through Freddie Mac.

Terry Jermaine Compton and Kenyatta Nichelle Bell enjoyed a mostly healthy marriage, a union that lasted nearly two decades — 19 years and two days to put it more precisely.

Even when the coupled deemed it essential to go their separate ways, amongst the things Terry and Kenyatta agreed is that they wanted what was best for their children, particularly a safe and comfortable place to call home.
“I was so excited for getting my dream home for Mother’s Day from Terry,” Bell, during a recent exclusive interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the joy and splendor that essentially had overtaken her family when the Comptons moved into their 2,700-square-feet dream home years before the untimely passing of her former husband at the age of 44.
While savoring their home at 20 Fairway Oaks in suburban Waverly, Georgia undoubtedly was a dream come true Bell and her children, such an awe-inspiring fantasy was all but shattered amid an unlikely discovery, one that, by all accounts, essentially haunts Bell and Co. to this day.

In 2018, Bell was informed that her home was sold to her illegally by Freddie Mac.

A government-owned corporation that buys mortgages and packages them into mortgage-backed securities, Freddie Mac’s official title is the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (or FHLMC). According to a report at https://www.thebalance.com/what-is-freddie-mac-3305985, banks typically use the funds received from Freddie Mac to make new loans to homebuyers.

As a result, that essentially boosts the housing market and allows more Americans to become homeowners.

WE ARE FAMILY — “I was so excited for getting my dream home for Mother’s Day from Terry,” Bell, during a recent exclusive interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the joy and splendor that essentially had overtaken her family when they moved into their 2,700 square feet dream home years before the untimely passing of her former husband, Terry Jermaine Compton (far right in image) at the age of 44.

Generally, the report cites, FHLMC gives banks the ability to create 30-year mortgages, and without Freddie Mac, the banks would have to keep the loans on their books for 30 years, thus tying up too much money — something mortgage experts say is “too risky.”

Bell and her then-husband purchased their home in May 2011 and were represented by longtime licensed realtor Kimberly Watson of Magnolia Realty, which is owned by Cecily Hill.

“We purchased our home from Freddie Mac, which was represented by a local realtor…whom I cannot recall,” Bell said.

The closing attorney for the home was former attorney and current judge, Robert Sweat, and the home was financed by Silverton Mortgage, which sold to BB&T and is considered guaranteed by the VA, Bell said.

‘IT’S ABOVE ME NOW’

Asked what was her initial reaction upon learning that a certificate of occupancy never emerged, Bell said: “I didn’t understand how this could happen to us, because we hired professionals. Our real estate company was owned by a previous state representative.

“We had all of these licensed and/or licensed professionals representing our family in the purchased of our home which was not inspected, did not have a final inspection, did not and currently doesn’t have a certificate of occupancy, has always and remains to be unlivable, and has been and currently illegal to live in,” Bell acknowledged.

For Bell and her family, it seemed that buying a home through Freddie Mac had become a mostly discomforting and disheartening experience, to say the least.

“Freddie Mac sold us the home without a certificate of occupancy and didn’t tell us,” Bell told MHN. “To make it worse, they are trying to hide behind (this ordeal), but (they’ve) put my family’s lives in danger for seven years.”

According to Bell, Heritage Bank officials executed the construction loan and that the Bank of Georgia in Augusta was the first lending institution that was responsible for having originated the mortgage without a certificate of occupancy.

As Bell explained, the rash of issues surrounding her home purchase was initiated by Heritage Bank, located at 392 Charlie Smith Sr. Highway in nearby St Mary’s, Georgia.

According to Bell, Heritage Bank officials executed the construction loan and that the Bank of Georgia in Augusta was the first lending institution that was responsible for having originated the mortgage without a certificate of occupancy.

Bell recently met with John Myers, an attorney for Camden County, about the ongoing issues surrounding her home. To no avail, she senses that things are at a constant standstill.

Calls by Making Headline News to Myers on Monday and late last week weren’t immediately returned.

As if the ongoing and seemingly insurmountable problems surrounding the certificate of occupancy weren’t enough to frustrate Bell and her family, they began to discover a variety of damages inside of their residence.

As if the ongoing and seemingly insurmountable problems surrounding the certificate of occupancy weren’t enough to frustrate Bell and her family, they subsequently began to discover a variety of damages inside of their residence.

“Actually, we couldn’t see damages, but we started experiencing problems with the HVAC unit and other small things within a few months, but we thought it was because no one had ever lived there,” Bell said.

All things considered, the entire matter surrounding Bell’s home purchase was a bad deal that apparently had become worse.

Asked what was her initial reaction upon learning that a certificate of occupancy never emerged, Bell said: “I didn’t understand how this could happen to us, because we hired professionals. Our real estate company was owned by a previous state representative.

“Our closing attorney is now the probate judge,” Bell continued. “Our lender had the inspection completed and our loan is a VA loan. After all we’ve been through and now we can’t live in our home. I began begging for help, but I had to research and get knowledge and understanding myself.”

While Bell believes that something will ultimately be done about an ordeal that resulted in her and having her family having to live at a local hotel and then with her “spiritual sister,”  Gina Fernandez Beverly, this accomplished Georgia businesswoman is confident “justice will be served” and that she will eventually reap some much-anticipated beauty for all of her ashes.

“I want to bring awareness to what happened to our family, but I also want to encourage people to trust God, keep the faith, and be strong no matter what their situation looks like,” said Bell, whose has two sons, both of whom are college football players. “My daughter was writing her book while our family was going through this situation and my boys were fighting through producing on the field and all three in the (college) classroom. During this storm is when Epic Life was birthed.”

A native of Gay, Georgia, Bell is the catalyst for the Epic Management Group, an Atlanta-area ministry that was spearheaded on an area radio station and is aired by way of a slew of airwaves.

Widely regarded as Epic Life Ministry, this company has also launched a social media teaching — a segment that’s collectively conducted by Epic Life staffers: Gina Beverly, Danielle Sunderhouse and Corey Watts — whereby it has garnered a global audience.

Interestingly, Epic Management Group has partnered with St. Marys radio station to host an array of what company officials describe as “epic life experiences,” most notably for middle and high school students.

Texas author Patrice Starks writes second book after doctors said she had 90 days to live

Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine. (1 Samuel 17:40 NIV)

GIANTS DO FALL

GIANT FAITH — A native of Athens, Texas, Patrice Starks authored “Five Smooth Stones: Diary Of A Modern Day Giant Slayer,” a spiritually-empowering written work that is currently available for presale ordering.

DALLAS — Six words essentially changed the overall landscape of Patrice Starks’ life.

Seriously.
As Starks recalls vividly, she witnessed her life change considerably some two years ago, to put it more precisely.
“In 2017, six words transformed my life,” Starks, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling when her oncologist informed her that she days on earth were practically numbered to put it more bluntly.
“My oncologist told me I had 90 days to live,” Starks said. “Although each of us has an appointment with death, being given 90 days to live was a blessing.”
Given the turbulent, tear-jerking circumstances surrounding Starks’ situation, who would’ve thought that she’d subsequently view her pending appointment with death as a blessing, of sorts?

“My children’s father was killed in a tragic car accident on Christmas Day 2000…a healthy officer in the Army,” Starks recalled. “No one expected it.  I also wrote a book about that ordeal and it became a local best seller and a stage play.”

For Starks, a Dallas/Fort Worth-area author, the possibility exist that history could very well repeat itself — much sooner than later.

That’s because Starks has yet another book on the horizon, one that will recall her continuous battle with a potentially fatal illness.

A native of Athens, Texas, Starks authored “Five Smooth Stones: Diary Of A Modern Day Giant Slayer,” a spiritually-empowering written work that is currently available for presale ordering.

FLEXING HER SPIRITUAL MUSCLES — As Starks told MHN this week, what is known as the “companion journal” for her latest books is nearly complete.

Having learned of her cancer diagnosis six years ago, Starks latest book comes approximately 16 years after her initial project: “When Water Was Free” (which took somewhere in the neighborhood of about six months to complete).

Starks began composing “Five Smooth Stones: Diary Of A Modern Day Giant Slayer” in September, or as she specifically acknowledged, during a time she admittedly was angry with former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger for killing Botham Jean, a development that has since garnered a wave of international headlines.

“I wrote both books with the underlying message of encouragement and inspiration,” Starks explained. “I live the life that I talk about.”

REMEMBERING BOTHAM — Botham Jean leads a worship at a Harding University presidential reception in Dallas, Sept. 21, 2017. Given the circumstances surrounding her diagnosis, she had a very good reason to — for a lack of better words — walk it like she talks it.

“When I was told that I had 90 days to live, I trusted God, because at my initial diagnosis in 2013, He told me, ‘This sickness is not unto death,’” Starks said. “It took four years for the terminal diagnosis to be given, but it isn’t like I hadn’t prepared for it. In the middle of all of this, I was also cured of stage four thyroid cancer.”

As for her initial book, Starks said: “I became convicted that if I truly am called by the Name of Christ, that I would have to show love and compassion to (Guyger). Ironically, a year later, that story is now international news. But it is what prompted me to check myself and share a message of healing and emotional well-being with the world. What our minds believe, our bodies will manifest.”

Having learned of her cancer diagnosis six years ago, Starks latest book comes approximately 16 years after her initial project: “When Water Was Free” (which took somewhere in the neighborhood of about six months to complete).

As Starks told MHN this week, what is known as the “companion journal” for her latest books is nearly complete.

“This will complement the book and allow the reader to actively journal his or her thoughts about the virtues and vignettes shared in the book,” said Starks, adding that there’s also an e-book version of her latest written work, with the newest additions scheduled to hit the market sometime in November.

The feedback for Starks’ books has been mostly favorable.

“I totally love how Patrice makes you aware of life’s challenges,” said LaFreda Williams, one of Starks’ most dedicated readers. However, holding onto your faith is the key. She is an advocate for self-care and I believe this book will provide hope.”

Interestingly, Starks announced that she’s creating what is known as a Modern Day Giant Slayer transformational course for people who are ready to move to the next level in life, career, and/or relationships.

“The first eight people to sign up will be offered an introductory rate of $79.00 as a bonus for being a reader of Making Headline News,” Starks said. “Reference this story at www.patricekstarks.com.”

MAKING MAJOR STRIDES — For Starks, a Dallas/Fort Worth-area author, the possibility exist that history could very well repeat itself — much sooner than later. That’s because Starks has yet another book on the horizon, one that will recall her continuous battle with cancer.

By and large, Starks emphasized, among other things, that her books are a true testament of how God has strategically set her aside for His use.

“There’s nothing too hard for God and what He has ordained will be, whether we like it or not,” Starks said. “In ‘Five Smooth Stones,’ I had done a study of David and Goliath and went deeper into the mind of the first giant slayer to ask, ‘What was it about the stones that he chose from the brook?’ He chose five but only needed one. Throughout the book, I encourage readers to arm themselves with virtue stones so that when a giant appears, they are able to handle him with Davidic assurance.”

Talk about making good use of the time with which God has blessed her on this side of heaven.

Seriously.

IN HER OWN WORDS

While each of my works carry life lessons, none of my work is from a “woe is me,” place.  I write in first person and tell the story, to engage the reader, and in most cases, make them laugh.  For instance, hospital gowns are for sick people.  I refused to wear them.  No sir.  My sister-friends threw a pajama party for me, and I was able to wear fun and cute pajamas for each day of the five weeks’ stay at Medical City-Dallas.
Next…no crying in my room; only if we have laughed ourselves to tears.  I wasn’t dying, and there was no need to go ordering a 100-piece chicken box from Walmart for my homegoing.  Nope.  Not necessary.
Even after the doctor told me I had ninety days to live, I didn’t worry about dying, because my salvation is secure; I worried about losing my hair and if I’d still be this cute and sassy with a bald head.  The answer to that question is a confident, “YES!”
After surviving what kills most people in six months, my transformation from a reserved yet stylish diva to a live out loud, I am not afraid to wear red giant slayer began.  I love my life.  I love what I have learned about life, its intricacies, its challenges, but most of all how not just survive, but be revived and live a life of abundance and joy.  I’d love to hear from each of you.  Please visit my online home www.patricekstarks.com and drop me a line.

If you need a living testimony keynote speaker for your next event, I’m happy to serve you. And I don’t travel with an entourage and don’t require much.  Just a microphone and some listening ears.  — Patrice Starks

Texas author Neiki Jones’ awe-inspiring new book figures to be a huge must read

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9 KJV)

GETTIN’ SPIRITUALLY FIT

DESTINY STEPS — In the coming weeks, a massive portion of Neiki Jones’ vision will ceremoniously come full circle with the release of her first book entitled, “When The Pieces Begin to Fit.”

DALLAS — It’s doesn’t matter what she endured in the past.

It’s all working out for the good for Neiki Jones.

Consider, for instance, the immeasurable strides Jones has made as a rising author.

During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Jones spoke intensely about how she has blessed mightily to connect with her long-awaited vision, particularly through her compelling gift as a writer.

“God actually gave me the vision to write a book about three years ago,” Jones recalled. “I began to write, then life happened and I stopped.”

Fortunately for Jones, a Houston-area author who is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, she was determined not to allow the hustle and bustle of life deter her from moving forward with her God-mandated assignment.

And, in the coming weeks, a massive portion of Jones’ vision will ceremoniously come full circle with the release of her first book entitled, “When The Pieces Begin to Fit.”

PRESALE ORDER NEIKI JONES’ BOOK: https://www.facebook.com/neikij

A book that will officially debut on the market on October 10, Jones’ “When The Pieces Begin To Fit” a testament, of sorts, of the solid work she has exemplified in recent years, both in the natural and the spirit.

A book that will officially debut on the market on October 10, Jones’ “When The Pieces Begin To Fit” is a testament, of sorts, of the solid work she has exemplified in recent years, both in the natural and the spirit.

“In 2018, that is when the dynamic of the content of the book changed along with the title,” Jones said.

Despite the name change of her first book, it’s safe to assume that Jones’ freshman written work will undoubtedly be a thing of beauty.

For starters, this spiritually-empowering and spiritually gut-checking project, by all accounts, is a printed sermon in its own right, given the featured and pivotal message this writer aspires to get across to her reading audience.

“The divine message I am sending to the audience through this book is that regardless of what life throws at you that giving up is not an option,” explained Jones, sounding very much like a missionary or licensed evangelist. “Also, (you must) not allow fear or people’s opinions stop you from reaching your full potential.”

Let the church say Amen.

But wait. There’s more to this awe-inspiring book that figures to be a constant page-turner for those we deem it necessary to purchase it.

“Never let anyone define who you are, and there is greatness on the inside of you,” said Jones, offering more of what her readers are in for through her new book. “We all have been purposed with a gift and the gift that is on the inside of you might be dormant, but you must connect to the right source. You have to activate that which is on the inside of you.”

THUS SAID THE LORD…

Suddenly, Jones felt compelled to offer a rather intriguing, captivating illustration as it pertains to breaking down her message.

“Just like a battery in our car, when it goes dead, we have jumper cables and have to connect to a battery that has power in order for the car to run,” Jones explained. “(We) just have to make sure we are connected to another battery that has power and not another dead battery.”

A book she began composing in August 2018, Jones needed just shy of a year to complete “When The Pieces Begin To Fit.”

“The (single, most) underlying reason for me to produce this book was to provide hope to those whose lives or situations seem hopeless,” Jones said.

As Jones acknowledged, a few of her peers sensed that her book was long overdue.

“When I first let others know that I was writing a book, the feedback I received was, ‘It is about time,’” Jones said. “So many individuals would tell me that it is time for my story to come out to help others.”

Now that her life-enhancing project is weeks away from making its  ceremonious debut, Jones has announced that another book is surely on the horizon, hopefully much sooner than later.

Interestingly, Jones has become a fixture through the ALAYA  Ministries, a nonprofit organization that’s accompanied by an acronym, which stands for: Activating Leadership To Accomplish Your Ambitions.

Interesting, Jones has become a fixture through the ALAYA  Ministries, a nonprofit organization that’s accompanied by an acronym, which stands for: Activating Leadership To Accomplish Your Ambitions.

Widely regarded as a broad-based community outreach organization, ALAYA  Ministries’ strategic emphasis is dedicated largely to promoting empowerment to women, men and children.

According to organizers for ALAYA  Ministries, this is done by equipping them to achieve leadership skills through support services, personal growth, classes and workshops.

In addition, this allows them to become self-sufficient which, according to ministry officials, is considered unlocking the potential of effective leaders.

Fortunately for Jones, a Houston-area author who is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, she was determined not to allow the hustle and bustle of life deter her from moving forward with her God-mandated assignment.

As for her book, Jones said: “I want people to know that we all have experienced our ‘there’ moment, and to be honest, we still might be in our ‘there,’ but you will come out. In your darkest moments, trust God even more, lean on your faith even more, and see the salvation of the Lord come through for you.

“It is important to understand the season that which you are in,” Jones added. “The higher one goes, expect adversity, but know that God is with you and He is carrying you when you cannot carry yourself.”

Because at the end of the real day, it’ll all work out for your good — something to which this author can greatly attest.

After increasing my self-esteem and self-confidence, I know I am limitless and I can achieve whatever I aspire to with hard work and determination.”

As for what she admittedly loves the most about her business venture, what it all boils down to, Kaba–Harrison emphasized, is helping educate women of color to reconnect with their overall uniqueness, to rediscover and embrace the divine purpose for which they were created.

Maryland author LaVerne Perlie’s ‘Born Again Daughters of Zion’ quickly creating a global buzz since its release

Give praise to the LORD, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done. (Psalm 105:1 NIV)

WOMAN THOU ART LOOSED

GLOAL IMPACT — A book that made its official debut on November 6, 2018, Maryland author LaVerne Perlie’s “Born Again Daughters Of Zion: Our Transformational Stories of Revelation Resilience and Recovery” recalls, among other things, how when trials, temptation, and death strike, it can be difficult for most to find comfort or peace amidst the turmoil and the whirlwind of emotions it brings, as mentioned in a detailed breakdown of this book at Amazon.com.

As far as telling one’s story goes, LaVerne Perlie is only making known God’s deeds among His people.

“The power of telling your story is one of the best ways to inspire and motivate others to consider change,” Perlie told Making Headline News during a weekend interview. “I believe collaboration and partnership symbolize the strength women possess. So I wanted to collect the heart of the women, capture their thoughts in writing, and demonstrate the bond of unified voices in action.
“Sharing your story opens the door to endless possibilities to make a difference in someone’s life. Now is the time.”
Indeed it is for Perlie, a Maryland-based writer, who is the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring and compelling book entitled, “Born Again Daughters Of Zion: Our Transformational Stories of Revelation Resilience and Recovery.”

“In her first anthology, Born Again Daughters of Zion, she has compiled the stories of eight dynamic women of God who, in times of despair, experienced healing, transformation, and triumph. The words within the pages of this book are a testament to how trials connect human spirits, no matter how unique the circumstances, and that we do not have to suffer alone.”

A book that is comprised of 136 pages in length, Perlie’s “Born Again Daughters Of Zion: Our Transformational Stories of Revelation Resilience and Recovery” a is a collaborative written work that is includes contributions by authors Linda Caldwell Boykin, Carla McCray, Arvinese Reid, Jackqueline Easley, Michelle Baylor, Paula Grange, and Tawanda Holmes.

A book that took a little more than a year to assemble, Perlie emphasized, among other things, the divine message she and her authorship team are sending to their audience is rather direct and straight to the point.

That is, “(all of us must) take authority over our lives, close the door of our past, open the door to our future, and march right into our destiny,” she said. “You are no longer an outcast. Readers should experience feelings of strength, well- being, and motivation to move forward.”

Interestingly, Perlie is fully persuaded that the assortment of stories that make up her latest book are, by all accounts, “touching and real,” a trend she said will likely cause readers to shed a few tears.

SEASON OF THE REBIRTH

Interestingly, Perlie is fully persuaded that the assortment of stories that make up her latest book are, by all accounts, “touching and real,” a trend she said will likely cause readers to shed a few tears.

“The readers will feel as if they have met the authors of the chapters personally,” Perlie said. “At the end of a story, there is charge to every reader, which really is affirmations. Readers are encouraged to speak these affirmations over their lives daily and believe what they are saying.”

Perlie’s “Born Again Daughters Of Zion: Our Transformational Stories of Revelation Resilience and Recovery” is just a glimpse of the glory is revealing in her through her immeasurable works as an author.

That’s because Perlie was apart of the collaborative book entitled, “Soul Talk 2,” another anthology project that was released in 2018, which is highlighted by her subject, “Trust God Through The Process.”

Perlie’s “Born Again Daughters Of Zion: Our Transformational Stories of Revelation Resilience and Recovery” is just a glimpse of the glory is revealing in her through her immeasurable works as an author.

As for her latest work, the feedback has been mostly favorable, Perlie said.

“Since writing the book, many people have mentioned how this book has open their eyes to pursue their purpose in life and not to allow distractions or challenges hinder them from achieving positive outcomes,” Perlie said. “I’ve been asked to mentor, coach, teach, and speak to women ages 15 to 79.”

As Perlie’s book becomes more of a global fixture, the more golden opportunities arise for her to share of his brilliant gifts as an author.

Perlie is current on hand for the Global United Fellowship The Gathering 2019 in Nassau, Bahamas,  an event that runs through July 12 at the Atlantis Hotel and Conference Center.

She will then attend the Women In Pursuit Retreat from August 16-17, at the Bon Secours retreat Center in Marriottsville, Maryland.

“Since releasing this book I’ve been invited to speak in Harrisburg and York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, (Washington) D.C., and churches throughout  Baltimore,” Perlie said.

IT’S ALL GOOD — As for her latest work, the feedback has been mostly favorable, Perlie said.

Without questions, she’s overwhelmingly grateful of the notion that God is steadily allowing her gifts to make room for her.

Never mind that slew of challenges that often arose to challenge her faith.

At the end of the real day, God was there all the time.

“If you desire to pursue your dream, you must understand that challenges are a part of the process to achieve the goal,” Perlie said. “How you think and respond to that challenge or barrier determines your fate. If your mind is set on pursuit, I encourage you to pursue everything without hindrance.”

Spoken like a true champion for Christ.

Simona Badger’s S Badger Empowerment and Consulting Services, LLC is nothing short of brilliant

WOMAN ON THE MOVE

MAKING MAJOR MOVES — Simona Badger’s S Badger Empowerment and Consulting Services, LLC, a credible, progressive Newark, New Jersey-based venture that customarily provides what is known as culturally sensitive, trauma focused psychotherapy, and professional education to the communities she serves.

DALLAS — To her distinctly unique credit, Simona Badger can be appropriately described as an empowerment extradionaire.

Consider, for instance, how Badger had gone about establishing S Badger Empowerment and Consulting Services, LLC, a credible, progressive Newark, New Jersey-based venture that customarily provides what is known as culturally sensitive, trauma focused psychotherapy, and professional education to the communities she serves.
“I’ve always known as a child that I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives,” Badger, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, explaining how her competitive drive in life has greatly propelled her for her business venture.
“Growing up, I was interested in social issues such as inequality, women’s rights, and racism. Starting my own business gave me the freedom to serve my community on a deeper level than if I was working for someone. A lot of the things that I accomplished in my life — degrees, marriage, children, business and finding my purpose — are all things I wanted to achieve before I turned 40.”

Because of the purpose for which God has created her, Badger has accomplished that and more — this for a thriving, 39-year-old businesswoman.

Armed with over a decade of experience in her chosen industry — most notably through treating survivors of domestic and sexual violence — Badger’s mission is centered largely on (but isn’t limited to) educating and supporting teens and adults about unhealthy relationships.

Interestingly, her upcoming book will provide a more in-depth and strategic emphasis on assisting teens and young adults, particularly with regards to healing from unhealthy relationships.

“Simona believes that her gift is to educate and support as many lives plagued by inter-generational and trans- generational trauma, and she believes her work would be incomplete unless she is able to give back to her native country (Jamaica) through her volunteering work,” said a spokesperson for Badger’s S Badger Empowerment and Consulting Services LLC.

MORE ON BADGER’S VENTURE: https://www.sbempowerment.org/

Much to her delight, Badger will be afforded the golden opportunity to share with the masses her longstanding mission through her organization when she host the Changing The Language of Men’s Health Conference on June 22, at Newark’s Source of Knowledge Bookstore, located at 867 Broad Street.

A conference that will be highlighted by what organizers have dubbed, “Real Talk With A Dynamic Panel Of Men,” tickets for this event can be purchased by calling 973.392.9473 or by paying via PayPal at: http://paypal.me/simonabadger.

“The reason why I’m hosting this conference and focusing on men’s mental health is because for far too long, men have suffered in silence, which has negatively impacted families and communities,” Badger said. “I grew up seeing how toxic masculinity affected males in my own family of origin. I remember seeing the males in my family drink away their problems, gamble away their money and date multiple women at a time due to being stressed.”

For what it’s worth, she credits her immeasurable experiences as a foster care caseworker and New York City Administration for Children Services clinical consultant through The Child Center of New York for her notable accomplishments of becoming what she refers to as a “momprenuer,” as well as a psychotherapist, educator, and advocate.

SAVE THE DATE

Her empowerment and consulting firm, in fact, provides holistic mental health treatment, as well as prevention and education services to women, men, families, children and adolescents, and under-served populations affected by health disparities, trauma, self-identity issues and poverty.

Widely regarded as a compassionate, professional and culturally competent therapist, who provides what it known as a “strengths based” perspective to therapy, Badger strongly believes that in working together through a trusting collaborative relationship, one can gain support to alleviate emotional pain and begin the journey of self-acceptance.

To her credit, her extensive experience includes — but isn’t limited to — helping clients with traumatic experiences, divorce, relationship problems, sleep problems, grief, work-related stress, family stress, and immigration concerns, among others.

A native of Jamaica (West Indies), Badger Simona Badger attended Ferncourt High School in her native establishment before reuniting with her parents in the United States at 15 years of age.

Consequently, she attended Harry S. Truman High in the Bronx, New York, where and graduated in 1998.

MAKING IMMEASURABLE STRIDES

For what it’s worth, Badger credits her immeasurable experiences as a foster care caseworker and New York City Administration for Children Services clinical consultant through The Child Center of New York for her notable accomplishments of becoming what she refers to as a “momprenuer,” as well as a psychotherapist, educator, and advocate.

Badger advanced her education at Herbert H. Lehman College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology (she minored in Black Studies) in 2003.

Then in 2008, she earned a Master of Social Work Degree from Fordham University. During her graduate studies, she majored in Clinical social Work with a certification in Law and Social Work Practice.

Interestingly, in 2013, Badger completed a post-graduate program at New Jersey Institute for Psychoanalysis-Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Certificate Program in nearby Teaneck.

“I love empowering people to reach their full potential,” Badger said. “We are all resilient, but that’s easily forgotten when we are going through hard times.”

St. Louis author Prophetess Deborah Allen displaying unshakable faith through her book ‘Fierce’

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV)

FIERCE KIND OF FAITH

BUT GOD!!! A St. Louis-area Pastor, Prophetess Deborah Allen’s “Fierce” was released amid what was seemingly a trying season in the life of this devout woman of faith. Amongst the reasons is that when God had strategically given Allen instructions to compose her new book, it happened during a time in which her husband, Bishop Glen Allen Sr., had been hospitalized due to an ongoing back pain, as well as an abnormal X-ray and a possible infection in his kidney.

DALLAS — The enemy tried all he could to toss shade in her direction.

Still, Prophetess Deborah Allen was determined to stand toe-to-toe and outlast the adversary the best was she knew how — with the written word of God which, to her credit, had come wrapped up in an awe-inspiring book.
“God first gave me the vision for this book as I was driving home the end of December 2016,” Allen told Making Headline News this week.
The book to which Allen is alluding is her relatively new project entitled, “Fierce,” which officially debuted in May 2018.
A St. Louis-area Pastor, Allen’s “Fierce” was released amid what was seemingly a trying season in the life of this devout woman of faith.

BUY PROPHETESS ALLEN’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Fierce-Prophetess-Deborah-Allen/dp/1642991902

A book that is comprised of 176 pages in length, Allen acknowledged that this spiritually-empowering book, by all accounts, reinforces her spiritual gifts, one of which is the gift of laying on hands and declaring healing upon the live of God’s people.

Amongst the reasons is that when God had strategically given Allen instructions to compose her new book, it happened during a time in which her husband, Bishop Glen Allen Sr., had been hospitalized due to an ongoing back pain, as well as an abnormal X-ray and a possible infection in his kidney.

“However, we learned he had stage four cancer and it had been growing inside his body undetected for about seven years,” Prophetess Allen recalled. “This was a complete shock and stage four chronic lymphocytic leukemia. As I was driving home, I was talking to God about how hard my life seemed to be, that it had been nothing but a battle. God showed me that from the beginning He was with me.”

THIS IS HOLY GROUND

ON GOD’S BATTLEFIELD — Widely regarded throughout the Body of Christ as a fierce, dynamic, and powerful woman of God, Prophetess Allen currently serves as Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries of God Church, a stint she’s held for the past two decades.

Indeed He was — and still is.

How else to explain why “Fierce” has been dubbed a “powerful, spirit-filled book” since its much-anticipated a little more than a year ago?

“The Lord breathed upon this book and filled it with a fresh wind,” said a spokesperson for Allen’s “Fierce” in a detailed breakdown of this book at Amazon.com. “Fierce was a God-inspired book as it was being written. God’s yoke-destroying anointing was loosed as this book was being penned. God’s spirit and anointing also flows as you are reading this book. Fierce prepares, instructs, and pushes the believer to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand. Stand in the Lord and be fierce.”

A book that is comprised of 176 pages in length, Allen acknowledged that this spiritually-empowering book, by all accounts, reinforces her spiritual gifts, one of which is the gift of laying on hands and declaring healing upon the live of God’s people.

“He blessed me to have the gift of healing in my hands,” Allen said. “God has sustained my husband and prayer has kept him. This is the season for God’s people to walk fiercely in him.”

Widely regarded throughout the Body of Christ as a fierce, dynamic, and powerful woman of God, Prophetess Allen currently serves as Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries of God Church, a stint she’s held for the past two decades.

In addition, she serves as Executive Director the L.A.M. Ministries Inc. nonprofit organization, has been married to Bishop Allen for more than 22 years, and is the mother of six children.

In addition, she serves as Executive Director the L.A.M. Ministries Inc. nonprofit organization, has been married to Bishop Allen for more than 22 years, and is the mother of six children.

Widely known also as a millionaire childcare coach, Prophetess Allen is an accomplished entrepreneur, who is the director of Little Lights Childcare and Learning Center, a St. Louis-area facility that has been in operation for 10 years.

As for “Fierce,” Prophetess Allen is appreciative of the notion that this book has opened “so many doors that I could never imagine,” she said without hesitation.

“This book has opened global doors for me,” said Prophetess Allen, alluding to her Fierce TV Show and Fierce Radio. “I have been featured internationally, because of this book. My God…who would have known that ‘Fierce’ would become such a movement in my life and the lives of many others everywhere? I’m simply amazed.”

As she should, especially considering aside from her husband’s physical challenges, Prophetess Allen can testify of the fact that God has blessed her to survive her very own season in the wilderness.

SEASON THE REBIRTH — Given the immeasurable strides she’s made in recent years — both in the natural and the spirit — it’s obviously this devout woman of faith has been armed with the kind of faith that was accompanied by a great deal of FIERCE.

“I’ve been through molestation, an abusive first marriage, I was a battered wife, teenage mother, and countless things, yet God has birthed His purpose out of my life for His divine glory,” Prophetess said. “As a leader, I want people to know that you can live, grow, and build, despite your life’s circumstances. Jesus is able to heal, deliver, and sustain us during every season of our lives and we are fierce in Him. My book is a testimony of strength, endurance, and encouragement through the Lord.”

So much for all that shade the adversary had tossed her direction.

And, given the immeasurable strides she’s made in recent years — both in the natural and the spirit — it’s obviously this devout woman of faith has been armed with the kind of faith that was accompanied by a great deal of FIERCE.

Florida author Shemeka L. McNair’s choosing to ‘wait on God’ has resulted in her gifts making room for her

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2019 SPECIAL REPORT

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14 KJV)

WAITING FOR GOD’S APPROVAL

TRUSTING THE PROCESS — Florida author Shemeka McNair’s featured written work is entitled, “Impatiently Waiting: Don’t Rush Love,” a 170-page project that jumpstarted her authorship debut when it was ceremoniously released in 2016.

Just before midday EST on Saturday, Shemeka L. McNair took to her Facebook page, where she staged before her social media followers a rather forthright and riveting post that essentially had come wrapped up in a self-declaration, of sorts.

Said McNair in on her timelime:
This year, I will shake hands with million dollar investors. They will fund my vision in its entirety. Then I will become a millionaire and I will shake hands with people like me and I will fund their vision. Not only will I soon be a millionaire I will produce other millionaires for the Glory of God! I walk in this type of favor!! I am anointed for this.
Talk about shooting her spiritual shot. Talk about keeping it 100.
Talk about some making an emphatic, dauntless, in-your-face profession, one that figures to change not just the life of McNair but, most importantly, virtually an entire generation.
If, by chance, God deems it essential to bring that about which McNair has publicly declared to fruition, in all likelihood, she’ll be exchanging pleasantries with millionaires, who will surely express interest in her gallery of books.

One in particular is McNair’s featured written work entitled, “Impatiently Waiting: Don’t Rush Love,” the 170-page project that jumpstarted her authorship debut when it was ceremoniously released in 2016.

“I wrote the book, because I was single for so long time and, at a certain point in my wait, I became tired of waiting and begin to make really (ill-advised) choices in men,” McNair, a native of Magee, Mississippi, told Making Headline News this week. “I lowered — basically got rid of — all of the standards I had and I just started to go with the flow of the dating scene. I bumped my head and had my heart broken so many times, I lost count.”

As McNair vividly explained, it wasn’t until God had her strategically confined inside of her vehicle that greatly enabled her to — for a lack of better words — see a light bulb moment, particularly it relates to her unfavorable decision-making in dating.

“One night, in the year 2011, I was sitting in the car, crying over a relationship and I begin to ask God, ‘Why is this happening to me? Why does this keep happening to me?’” — Florida Author Shemeka McNair

As she consequently found out, God — His usual reliable Self — had provided her with some much-needed sense of direction.

“I heard a Voice say, ‘Write about it,’” McNair explained. “What type of response is that? I’m crying and You tell me to write about it. As time passed, I begin to journal about whatever I was going through in the relationships and courtships.”

LISTEN UP — As for the divine message she’s sending to her audience through “Impatiently Waiting: Don’t Rush Love,” McNair said, “If you can wait, you can have whatever it is you want. When we rush we have everything we don’t want…like the wrong partner, toxic relationships, and situations we should have never been a part of. We all have a due season. We just have to enjoy, not despise our wait, because it will always be worth the wait.”

And before she knew it, she was on path to assuming the role of an author, a trend that has given way to this Orlando-based writer and businesswoman assembling three additional books, one of which is presently in the works and about to be headed for the printer.

Aside from an “Impatiently Waiting” book that has caught the attention of actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, who’s famously known for her childhood role as Rudy Huxtable in the classic NBC sitcom, “The Cosby Show,” McNair also authored:

“Behind the Scenes Of Success,” which was released in December 2017, or approximately 10 months after the first one. Then in January 2019, she published “On the Road To Recovery.”

As McNair can boldly admit today, she’s grateful to God for having assigned her to speak along such a thought-provoking, spiritually-empowering topic for such a time as now.

McNair’s “Behind the Scenes Of Success” was released in December 2017, or approximately 10 months after her first book.

“Many people have said to me that I will write books, but I didn’t know how or where to start,” McNair said. “So I just started to write down what I thought I should be writing until one day in 2015, I was visiting a church and the pastor asked me to stand and he said to me, ‘I see you journaling. I see you are writing a lot.’”

Surely, such a public prophesy essentially was God speaking to McNair through one of His spokespersons.

McNair’s “On the Road To Recovery” debuted in January of this year.

To her credit, it’s a good thing she took heed to that which God revealed to her.

Continued the Pastor: “God said for you to hurry up and write the book and he will send the finances.”

STAR POWER — McNair’s “Impatiently Waiting”has caught the attention of actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, who’s famously known for her childhood role as Rudy Huxtable in the classic NBC sitcom, “The Cosby Show.”

And just like that, McNair’s authorship tenure was officially underway, an awe-inspiring development that given way to four books — and counting.

“That put a fire under me and I was trying to write, but didn’t know what I should be writing,” McNair said.

Once she had finally found her niche as an accomplished author, God, in turn, had provided the increase.

GLIMPSE OF GOD’S GLORY — If, by chance, God deems it essential to bring that about which McNair has publicly declared to fruition, in all likelihood, she’ll be exchanging pleasantries with millionaires, who will surely express interest in her gallery of books.

“I have received great feedback from everyone,” McNair said of her assortments, especially the first one. “They feel the book is real and relatable. Even men have said the book was a great read.”

Chances are, those millionaires with whom she will eventually cross paths will share the same sentiments.

Business partners Michael LeMay and Nikki Denise join forces to compose a book that promotes combating divorce

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:6 KJV)

GOD’S HOLY ORDINANCE

DALLAS — For the record, there’s never a bad time, quite frankly, to speak along the lines of what it means to avoid a dreaded marital dissolution.

That is why authors Michael LeMay and Nikki Denise have joined forced to compose a book they sense will become a fixture not just amongst worldly individuals but, most importantly, amongst those who make up the Body of Christ.
Never mind that the informative, emotionally-driven, spiritually gut-checking book by these writers isn’t scheduled to be released until sometime in Spring 2020.
“(We’re striving) to encourage men and women to reconsider staying married as opposed to divorce,” LeMay told Making Headline News this week. “And (we’re striving) to offer various practical and emotional reasons why they should stay married.”

ACCORDING TO GOD’S LAW…

Indeed they are, courtesy of an awe-inspiring and forthcoming book entitled, “Avoiding Divorce For Men and Women: 101,” a collaborative written document that’s centered largely on this dynamic duo of authors deeming it essential to — you know — keep it real with their readers, most notably those who could learn a thing or two about the downside of divorce and why sticking together as a union would be beneficial for both parties in the long run.

To their credit, these authors’ strategic and steadfast objective of keeping it real, by all accounts, is accompanied by a great deal of transparency.

There’s never a bad time, really, to speak along the lines of what it means to avoid a marital dissolution. That is why authors Michael LeMay and Nikki Denise have joined forced to compose a book they sense will become a fixture not just amongst worldly individuals but, most importantly, amongst those who make up the Body of Christ.

“We believe that having been through divorce and single parenting that we have an authentic experience and knowledge about this subject matter,” Nikki Denise, 39, a native of Durham, North Carolina, explained. “It is our quest to help African-American families stay together and to deter divorce through our media. We hope to bring awareness to the public about some of the pitfalls and root causes and the results of divorce on a family. And we hope to provide information and guidance to avoid divorce.”

A book that is already generating its share of favorable feedback — “It’s been all positive,” LeMay said — roughly eight months prior to its scheduled release, “Avoiding Divorce For Men and Women: 101” is making a strong case that it figures to be as good as advertised once it makes it ceremoniously release on the market.

“The avoiding divorce platform seeks to explain how various socio economic dynamics can transcend into interrelation dysfunction and marital failures, within modern African American families,” said the co-authors, when asked in what ways are their forthcoming book apart of the purpose for which God has created them. “The avoiding divorce platform challenges black men and women to perform deep mental introspection and self-examination, to discover the root causes in their behavioral patterns that can be correlated to patterns of dysfunction in their marriages.”

Moreover, LeMay and Nikki Denise acknowledged, what they appropriately label the “avoiding divorce platform” is absolutely essential, particularly as it pertains to keeping the sanctity of marriage intact.

THEY’VE GOT NEWS FOR YOU — All things considered, LeMay and his Nikki Denise can dauntless profess that they thank God for strategically assigning them for collectively composing an intriguing and essential book for such a time as now.

There are variety of pivotal reasons for drawing such an analogy, they emphasized.

“The avoiding divorce platform triggers an awareness in black men and women to realize that they must to do self and perhaps professional psychoanalysis required to know thyself and to become self-aware,” Nikki Denise explained. “We believe that this is our God-given assignment as authors.”

Having announced this week that they are open to speaking engagements, during which they would share in detail the developments that fueled their fervent desire to assemble “Avoiding Divorce For Men and Women: 101,” both LeMay and Nikki Denise have undoubtedly found their niche as accomplished writers, having authored a galley of books.

In addition, LeMay Imagery Publishing will be publishing “Avoiding Divorce: 101,” a book they emphasized is designed for men and women, especially couples who are passionate about diligently remaining in covenant.

IN HER OWN WORDS — “We believe that having been through divorce and single parenting that we have an authentic experience and knowledge about this subject matter,” Nikki Denise, 39, a native of Durham, North Carolina, explained. “It is our quest to help African-American families stay together and to deter divorce through our media. We hope to bring awareness to the public about some of the pitfalls and root causes and the results of divorce on a family. And we hope to provide information and guidance to avoid divorce.”

“Our goal is to inspire families and to offer them tools for them to stay together,” said LeMay, an Atlanta-based businessman who is a native of Chicago. “We believe that our message of avoiding divorce is ordained by God and that it is as important as the Civil Rights Movement was.”

Talk about a rather bold and riveting suggestion, one that because of this brilliantly compelling book, figures to become a fixture not just amongst worldly individuals but, most importantly, amongst those who make up the Body of Christ.

“(We want our readers) to become self-aware and spiritually awakened,” LeMay said in making a plea for consumers to begin submitting presale orders for “Avoiding Divorce For Men and Women: 101.”

“I had to go through the process of analyzing my own consciousness and my psychological make-up…to evoke change within himself, I had to deconstruct myself from the core,” LeMay continued. “And then rebuild and reengineer my mind with new content. I had to undergo a mental and spiritual rebirth.”

All things considered, LeMay and his Nikki Denise can dauntlessly profess that they thank God for strategically assigning them for collectively composing an intriguing and essential book for such a time as now.

BOOK THEM — Having announced this week that they are open to speaking engagements, during which they would share in detail the developments that fueled their fervent desire to assemble “Avoiding Divorce For Men and Women: 101,” both LeMay and Nikki Denise have undoubtedly found their niche as accomplished writers, having authored a galley of books.

“I don’t believe that I’d be divorced today had I made these kinds of mental and spiritual changes before it was too late,” LeMay said without hesitation. “If I had only paid attention to the signs that my wife presented to me…had I taken accountability for taking the time to learn how to become humble enough to know that my marriage was in trouble, I don’t believe that I would be divorced today.

“Being able to ask for help when I realized that my marriage was in trouble was the work,” LeMay added. “This is the necessary process. In that, we acknowledge that we are in trouble and that we respond effectively.”

Talk about keeping it real.

For the record.
