We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. (Romans 15:1 KJV)
LEADING THE CHARGE
To her recollection, Iris Wright vividly witnessed through a God-manifested fantasy roughly a decade ago how 2023 would strategically unfold.
“God gave me this vision over 10 years ago. I saw it in my dream, including the name,” Wright, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable events that have given way to her latest authorship adventure. “I did not understand the dream at the time, but He was preparing me for this. January 2023, I decided to follow His instructions.”
Indeed, she did.
And for her valiant efforts, coupled with her divine act of obedience unto the Lord, Wright has found herself on the right side of a supernatural — and life-altering — blessing.

As part of Making Headline News’ 2023 Essence Music Festival advance coverage leading to the “the party with a purpose” event June 29-July 3 in New Orleans, Wright spoke about the inspiration behind her having spearheaded Injustice Volume 1: Empowered By Iris Wright, her highly-anticipated, Amazon bestseller anthology that debuted Spring 2023.
An official book launch and celebration for Wright’s featured book are scheduled for June 17 from 4-8 p.m. EDT at Colonial Heritage Club, located at 6500 Arthur Hills Drive in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Tickets for the book launch can be purchased via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/injustice-book-launch-celebration-tickets-569906504697. Vendor opportunities are also available during this event, according to organizers for the book launch.

A riveting, fascinating collaborative book project is comprised of seven co-authors, Wright would be the first to admit that Injustice was a 10-year adventure in the making, in large part because she wasn’t fully persuaded that the book was worth producing.
“I started writing this book over 10 years ago. I wrote this book a few times and threw it in the trash,” Wright told MHN. “January 2023, I chose to write it and to follow through with God’s instructions.”
As Wright would ultimately discover, however, it was time well-invested primarily because, well, God had strategically endorsed the project, thus assigned her to host it.
Mission accomplished for this Newport News, Virginia-based author, whose anthology has created a fervent buzz across various message boards and social media platforms since word spread of its highly-anticipated release.
“Now I have started an injustice movement to help others,” Wright, an Eastern Shore of Virginia native, said. “May 2023, our anthology was published. June 2023 is our live event. I am publishing Injustice My Story this year as well.”
Generally, Wright emphasized, among other things, she had become greatly inspired to produce the anthology to help other people heal and evolve from injustice.
“I know that God did not have me live through it to keep it to myself,” Wright said. “I realized that we have power in using our voice. I believe that it is important to learn how to fight without fighting and to stand up for change. This is bigger than me.”
Wright, in fact, has endured her share of injustice, turmoil that, by all accounts, has altered the overall landscape of her life.
For the rest of her life.
At the tender age of 18, Wright faced a 20-plus-year incarceration sentence for a crime she did not commit, the well-respected social activist told Making Headline News.
GOD, BE WITH US
“And losing my daughter and taking almost five years to get her back, I really did not think that God had a plan for me,” Wright recalls. “I have spent that last five years rebuilding my personal relationship with God.”
For what it’s worth, Wright especially began to draw closer to God at the turn of the new year.
“January 2023, I stopped questioning Him and I am following His instructions,” Wright says without hesitation. “I know with time, He will help me understand. I do know that because of this experience that I found my strength and that helped me find my Identity so I could evolve.
“This process taught me how to be authentic, move with integrity, and not to judge others. I had to learn how to love again and still struggle at times with empathy. I do believe that He called me to lead others with this movement.”
When asked in what ways do Injustice aligns with the purpose for which God has created for her, Wright said, “Honestly, I am trying to figure that out.”
TEAM WRIGHT
To her credit, though, this accomplished author has become the beneficiary of rash of favorable reviews as her anthology nears its ceremonious release, despite the occasional uncertainties that loom surrounding her latest book project.
“This journey has been emotional, but powerful,” Wright said. “I have gotten messages from people daily that have experienced injustice. I am helping other people heal that are in pain because of their injustice. I am helping other people find and use their voices.”
IF GOD SAID IT, THAT SETTLES IT
Interestingly enough, 2023 could be appropriately dubbed a banner year for Wright, who is involved in four additional books: What is Fearless Living?, Word of Wisdom Volume II, Girl Don’t Count Yourself Out, and Audacity To Be Empowered.
Another book, she said, is forthcoming.
“I am publishing Injustice: My Story this year as well,” said Wright, who is scheduled to be one of dozens of speakers during the Comeback Champion Summit, a five-day virtual assembly that will take place June 20-24.
